What can you say about GW? Their stores are great, you can always find something you need, & more…read moreyou had no idea you needed. Well, that's even more the idea behind the Clearance Center! It's bins, & bins, & more bins of stuff the other GW's kicked back because it wouldn't sell. In the Clearance Center you can find furniture, electronics, DVD, VHS, Wii, Xbox, PS3-5, board games, books, luggage, shoes, clothing, craft supplies, dishes, travel supplies, and so much more. The possibilities are endless. The only draw back today, standing in below zero (I'm a Celsius girl), waiting to get in. It was cold, but so worth it. There are loads of people that go here to find stuff to fix & resell. Today, I found a brand new pair of ice skates. I know, 'ice skates', wth are you gonna do with those? I'm going to send them to my daughter in Europe. I found books to alter with, shelving brackets for my home I'm buying, & other things to store stuff. My basket, even after sorting, was over flowing. I spent $16 for all of it. Yeah. You pay by the pound! You can even purchase entire crates. If you've not been, grab a mask & a pair of gloves & go have fun exploring. It is so worth it. I'll come back & post photos of my discoveries. My trunk & backseat of my car are full! The employees are so sweet considering how many people they deal with, & they enforce masks & gloves. They will make you leave if you don't have both!!!! Great job Goodwill.

I volunteered for Soldiers Angels in 2022. I simply did not want to continue with the gift in 2023…read more The website does not allow you to unenroll which feels like a scam. I have written to ask that they discontinue my recurring gift and close my account and never get a response. I want confirmation that they will no longer charge my account and will close my account with them. I have used their "contact us" feature on their website which leaves no record of me contacting them. I have also left voice messages no one returns my calls.

Always looking for something meaningful to do and a way to give back and pay it forward. So, I signed up and adopted a soldier. So far it has been one of the most rewarding and coolest things I have done. If I can make a soldiers deployment a little easier by sending 1 letter a week and 1 package a month then I absolutely will. And I love sending packages to people with stuff that they need, want or will smile at upon opening. I love the fact that my soldier will have something to open during mail call. Yes, we are strangers, but maybe that's the beauty of it. This is a great program and one I'm proud to be a part of. The website is helpful and easy. They provide mentors, suggestions and all kinds of good information.

If you are getting married, please think twice about renting a veterans hall for your reception. I…read morehave heard and seen a lot of bad reviews saying that they will try and rip you off and etc.. This was after we rented the hall though. When we went it they were so friendly & nice and were adding "extras" that we could use (ice machine, kitchen,), they also said we could bring in drinks as long as they are non-alcoholic because they had a bar. At the reception they told us we couldn't bring in our drinks or anything & the lady who told us everything we could use "wasn't there" even though I could hear the lady in the other room, I know it was her because her accent stood out. Eventually they let us bring in our drinks. They were so stingy and really looked like they wanted us to leave. Our biggest problems is that we overpaid for security since we didn't have a certain amount of guests. We called them about our deposit and said we'd pick it up after our honeymoon & they said it was fine. When we got back they said the guy that writes out the checks was in India. Then the guy says we actually didn't pay enough and told us to show them the receipts. When my husband brought the receipts to them they said, you need the contract also. Then they said we should have paid more because we had catering. They did not cater it though we paid a BBQ place to come in and they did everything, and they were nice enough to give us their ice since they wouldn't let us use the ice machine. All in all i have the paper the lady wrote up for us and also the receipts. It would cost us more than $150 to take them to court even though we have proof they scammed us. Really what happened was the lady wrote up the stuff wrong and added it wrong (even though she was using a calculator) and we still did overpay. The deposit was never taken out of the total due, which online it says you can do this but we didn't want to. Please be careful about renting halls especially this place, they are taking advantage of young couples who are only trying to start their lives. Isn't it just great to start your marriage by getting ripped off by people you respect?
