After multiple visits, not once have they managed to follow simple instructions for a haircut. On my most recent (and final) visit, I dropped my dogs off and, astonishingly, they were kept for over eight hours with no communication other than a midday text asking about the cut--again. When I tried to call, I discovered the business was apparently closed, despite my dogs still being held hostage. When I finally retrieved them, not only were they still not ready, but one was bleeding from a botched shave under her neck--cut so close to the skin it was borderline negligent. I was informed both dogs had five fleas each, which is impressive given their clean bill of health from the vet the day before. Apparently, my dogs received a flea bath--this was never communicated, of course. The owner's daughter excused the disaster by saying they'd "had a rough day." That's nothing compared to what my dogs endured. My female's head looked like it had lost a battle with a weed whacker, and her body was bald. As for the dye job I requested? The color on my male dog had faded before we even reached home. When I texted to complain, suddenly they decided the dogs "weren't good candidates for dye because of fleas." If that's the case, why proceed and why not let me know? Basic communication is clearly a foreign concept here. To call this business unprofessional would be a compliment. The customer service is abysmal, the communication nonexistent, and the grooming skills laughable. If you care at all about your pets, steer clear. I wouldn't recommend this place to the walking dead. The staff here clearly dislike their jobs and, from what I witnessed, shouldn't be allowed near any animal, let alone entrusted with people's money. This is a masterclass in how not to run a business.

We've boarded our dog at a few places and are glad we came across this one. Now, it isn't a doggy daycare like other places, so the dogs aren't playing with each other. This does, however, mean the price is lower. We recently boarded our pup here for a long weekend and it was about half of what it would have cost at a daycare center. So even though it isn't daycare and the dogs aren't playing with each other all day, it seems like they have lots of room to roam and get plenty of playtime. Our guy came home tired and happy. Jill even sent along a few pictures of him playing around and it looks like he was in doggy heaven. We'll definitely be bringing our dog back again next time we're out of town.

The groomer (well the one we had) was pleasant and professional. My dog always came home looking very nice. I am a busy mom of 7, a wife and a nurse. I missed an appointment we had as I forgot one of my children had a school concert to attend on a Saturday. I called the Katies once I realized I had missed the appointment to apologize and reschedule. The receptionist asked me to hold on. Then a lady got on the phone and immediately said, "This is Katie, are you not able to bring in your dog?" I stated I was not able to and explained why and apologized for not being able to. She than said are you aware of the cancellation fee? I stated I was not and had not been told about that. Very rudely she said the fee is the price of the cut. I was a little floored about this, but said okay, and asked if it is charged with the next cut. She continued to be very rude as if this was something I did all the time and told me that I would need to prepay for all the appointments moving forward. She didn't give a courtesy, she didn't say yes, you will need to pay a double charge next time, she was very rude. I told her thank you and hung up. She will NOT get another $$ of my hard earned money again. Zero customer service and she sounded like a mad hatter the way she was talking. I hope she doesn't treat all customers and employees like that.

She would always be 2-3 hours late. She had so many excuses, I couldn't keep them all straight. For example: "Her previous appointment ran over due to a fearful dog she had to go slow with" or "She didn't realize how long it would take for her to get to & from her prior appointment" or "There was an accident on the interstate & she had driven all the way out to her previous appt. & the people weren't home." I always tried to text & call her to confirm that she was in fact coming. Sadly more often than not I didn't get a response. If I did get a response, it was weeks AFTER she had missed our appt. I would get the excuse that her phone was acting up or she would say; "Oh you didn't get my text?" No Laura, I never received your text because you never sent one! This happened more & more frequently until she completely blew us off last week. I texted her to find out where she was? Our appointment was for 7:00pm. (Which was really late to begin with). I even asked her the day before if she was sure she would be here because she had missed our previous 2 appointments. I was worried because she told me that she had just "gotten out of the hospital."She confirmed she would be here. I sent her a text when she was a 1/2 hour late. She responded that she was finishing up her prior appt. & she would be here shortly. I texted her back @ 8:00pm & no reply... I finally called her & sent her another text @ 9:30pm. I told her to forget it and don't bother coming back. The worst part about this whole thing is she had strung us along for 8 weeks & my fur babies are the ones that ultimately paid the price. We were here for every single one of our appointments. Not once did we ever cancel or reschedule. Yet, Laura treated us like this. This gives all new meaning to the phrase, "Don't bite the hand that feeds you!" So if this review helps just one parent decide if they should or shouldn't hire Laura. Please think twice. I wish there had been reviews that I could have read prior to hiring Laura.

I was nervous dropping them off because we've had some issues boarding them other places in the past. When I picked them up after their 10 day stay, they both looked so happy and healthy! My biggest concern was my German shepherd, who has ALWAYS refused to eat and had worsened anxiety after staying at other kennels. It was amazing to see that the people working at B & S were able to interact with him and not have any aggression issues. He walked right out and didn't bark at anyone or any other dogs. We will bring our pups here for any future boarding needs!
