Highly recommend The Victorian Room. My Mom booked my baby shower here and everything was AMAZING! You have the entire place to yourself! Perfect for a shower, birthday, Christening, engagement party or smaller wedding. I think the place holds up to 70 people? The place was beautifully decorated with a vintage/rustic feel. Flowers, wood, chandeliers, fire places...absolutely beautiful!! The food was delicious and the dessert buffet was excellent. Everything fresh and tasty. Gina has a very poor sense of humor, treats staff bad. Left a tip for a few of her employees with card and they never received it because she keeps them to herself. She takes advantage of employees and punishes them with no work for false rumors . read more

The ambiance is very nice , warming & welcoming. & beautiful inside. Food is very good , but have to very specific as to what you want .Eg penne ala vodka was not penne pasta. I was surprised to see the cake & didn't have congratulations written on it or my daughter's name. Service is great but they could use more help . & food was taking away too quickly & from the tables. The guests were pleased to my knowledge which is good. So I graduated from college this week & celebrated at the Victorian room. I don't know what to talk about first- the excellent service, unique and beautiful setting, the food, the communication, staff- this day was truly one I will never forget. I had the pleasure of working with Gina and Alex when doing the planning. They were extremely friendly, excellent communicators, accommodating when planning meetings, integrating ideas and overall, went above and beyond. Not to mention, they made the food, which was outstanding. Everything was personalized - even the menu! Two members of my family have dietary restrictions (gluten free and nut free) and were able to eat with no issues. Just awesome! As for the venue, it was everything we were looking for and more! This place is so beautiful and unique. We had access to the entire venue and had the space to ourselves - indoors and outdoors! Lots of cute details that gave this place its unique charm. I live in San Francisco and my family lives here in Bay Shore. I was having my Mother's Surprise Birthday party, and a family friend suggested that I have it at The Victorian Room. I flew in for the holidays and went there to book the party.....well.... I didn't know what to expect BUT All I can say is that Gina goes above and beyond for each and every event. My sister and mom chose The Victorian Room for my wedding shower, and I'm SO happy they did! The food and drinks were outstanding. All throughout the party I heard guests raving about each course and recommending they try certain things if they hadn't already. We did buffet/charcuterie style. It was nice to have dishes available to our guests the entirety of the event. Gina and her staff are all amazing. They were so attentive to me (and guests) and always made sure I had a crisp cold drink in my hand, food, etc. They helped set up, run the event and clean up. Everyone SO helpful and sweet the entire time. We had a mix of adults and children attend the shower; the environment of The Victorian Room was perfect for this. We had the whole space to ourselves so the kids were able to run around, have fun and look at all the pretty decorations that are placed all over the space! Overall, the food/drinks/atmosphere were 10/10. Best decision ever by my mom to have my bridal shower at the Victorian Room. I was immediately sold on the classy Victorian decor, which all of the guests raved about. There is also an outdoor area in the back which has recently been updated with overhanging flowers & lighting, - perfect for the upcoming warm weather season. The food was delicious and abundant. Multiple buffets with a brunch spread, hot chafing dishes and an omelette station. The girls loved the champagne bar, but the main event was the gorgeous dessert spread, freshly baked by the owner! The staff was extremely attentive to all of our needs throughout the entire event. They were very helpful to me in guiding my mom through the process, (since this was her first shower), but they were also very gracious about all of our preferences. read more

Food not made there, brought in from outside vendor who is off premises and used to have a great menu made fresh daily at their location but that apparently wasn't profitable. Beyond thrilled with my experience at the Victorian Room in Bayshore! We celebrated my husbands end of the roaring 20's themed 30th birthday party and no one was disappointed. So much food, drinks were flowing the ambiance was spot on. Unforeseen circumstances had me running late to set up, but Gina and her staff were there to save the day. They had the room looking even more beautiful than when you walk in which seems hard to imagine since its already so lovely without the party decorations. Recently went to a bridal shower here and fell in LOVE with the place! The place is absolutely gorgeous, they even have an outdoor section that is decorated just as beautiful on the inside from top to bottom, not a detail missed. The food was absolutely delicious, and the 2 servers who were also the bartenders were so attentive and kind. The owner Gina was incredibly warm, friendly and helpful - she even made the cake for dessert herself! Not only did it look beautiful, but it was probably the best cake I've ever had. I called and received a very aggressive lady with an attitude. I wanted to know if it's a place u bring in food or a catering hall. She began to tell me the year they opened ect in a very nasty attitude and said only 3 dates they have available also in a nasty attitude almost like she didn't want me to book. Had my Bridal Shower here yesterday and can't say enough about this place! Where do I start? The food was amazing, decor was adorable, and staff was so friendly! They followed all proper protocols - hand sanitizers were everywhere, staff had masks on at all times, and we had the whole place to ourselves so social distancing was easy. Was here recently for a family event and was very disappointed in the food, and not enough staff for serving food. The bartender did a good job on the drinks thoug The chicken was very dry in a very dark brown mushroom sauce, it had some flavor but really dry. The served new potatoes that were deep fried - tough strange texture and just not good. The beef was okay with a creamy pepper sauce and okay texture, well done though. The kids meals were badly over cooked chicken nuggets and fries. Desserts were okay - black and white cookies, donuts and Cookies. read more

Decor is always beautiful. And everyone had a great time. We decorated diapers with jokes, make beautiful headbands for the baby and had Disney tattoos for the other kids (ages 4-44)! I was pleasantly surprised with the food and service at the Victorian Room because some of the reviews are not so kind. I went to my friend's baby shower there last week and had a great time and thought the food and service alike were very good. The service was attentive and courteous, the food very tasty and enjoyable. I had short rib which was hearty and robust in rich flavor, penne a la vodka which was creamy and just the right amount of cream, chicken Francese which was thin and tender in a very light lemon sauce. The rigatoni bolognese was awesome and the eggplant rollatini were great!! I also enjoyed their salad with a very delicious balsamic vinaigrette with mozzarella and tomatoes. They served a pink champagne and vodka cocktail that looked like it was going to be so sweet but surprisingly it wasn't, and I enjoyed it immensely. The coffee was fantastic, seriously so good and just what I needed to end a perfect meal and lovely time watching my friend bask in her glory opening up gifts for her baby girl who is on the way. I recently had a graduation party at the Victorian Room, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The place is absolutely gorgeous, especially the patio, and right in the heart of mainstreet in Bayshore. The owner, Gina, and her staff were truly lovely, the food was amazing, and I am so happy with how everything turned out. From the beginning of planning, Gina was very accommodating and really went above and beyond to ensure that the party would be everything we wanted. The menu choices were extensive, and everything we chose was delicious. On the day of, Gina and her staff were on top of everything to make sure the party ran smoothly--no one ever needed anything that was not immediately supplied. Additionally, Gina made the most beautiful dessert spread and cake I have ever seen--the party would have been worth it alone for how good all the desserts were.
