I visited The BBQ King today and was excited to try a new local spot--who doesn't love BBQ? As someone with celiac disease, I couldn't have a sandwich since they don't offer gluten-free bread, but the owner, Keith, happily serves sandwiches as platters, which was perfect for me. This was a high quality experience. The sandwich that I grabbed was one of the best I have ever had. It wasn't like a traditional Cuban sandwich. This was turned up. The actual hero was huge and packed with so much goodness, I would've really struggles to finish in one sitting! There was 2 different types of cheese and they used a BBQ pulled pork and honey ham. Had to come back and update this, because I've had the pulled pork as well. My wife came up with a great combo, putting it over Ore Ida shredded potatoes, to make a "pulled pork bowl" and holy hell... I didn't realize the pulled pork would be this good. My family recently had a GIANT (250+) person backyard BBQ family reunion. We had talked to quite a few people about doing a pig roast in the yard and then we found Mario & Andy Spirou's (brothers) BBQ King. Hosted a party for about 50 this past weekend. These guys did an amazing job. Showed up two hours before, super polite, professional, and got right to work. Did their set-up and got to cooking. Burgers done right, grilled chicken, sausage and peppers and pulled pork. All the food was great. All the meats were great.
