    Apricot Kolache

#AllergenInfo - Soy, Nuts: The Kolaches are nut free, but not Soy free. However their cookies are soy free, except for the ones that have chocolate chips, (possible soy lecithin,) and the were unsure if the peanut butter had soy or not, Other occasional items are soy, or nut free, but ask if you are unsure or worried. On my first visit, I had their Sandtart, and it was very good, but I prefer their Macadamia Nut cookie that I had on my second visit.. The cookie was mostly soft and sweet, (almost too sweet,) with a mild yielding crunch from the nuts. I think I prefer this cookie over the drier Sandtart. My wife also enjoyed an Apricot Kolache, but since their kolaches are not soy-free, my search for soy-free kolaches continues. We travel between San Antonio and Dallas only occasionally, but if we can come through during business hours, I look forward to stopping in to try more of their other cookies. It takes a slight detour from the highway, but the extra effort pays off deliciously.

We were on a road trip from Fort Worth Texas and decided to stop in. The kolaches are very good. I had a peach kolache. This is an older bakery that looks like it has been around for years. They have lots of awards for their famous kolaches displayed in the front of the business. I didn't realize that there were competitions for kolaches. If you are visiting West Texas, this is a good place to try.

My favorite kolaches and koblasnikis in town. So many other pastries to choose from, too. I always tell my friends to not go to the bakery on the interstate, go a few blocks into town to Village. You won't regret it.

Have come here a few times now and can confidently say it's my favorite kolache spot in the area!…read more The sausage bacon jalapeño cream cheese is a must on every visit, probably the best kolache I've ever had. Really makes me wonder why cream cheese isn't used in more savory kolaches. Outside of that one they have a wide selection that has consistently provided hits when I try something new. The bread quality is really good, and they don't skimp on the meats either. I will say their savory quality is a touch higher than the sweet, particularly on the bread, but the sweet are also quite good and have a crazy array of options. I think this spot is super overlooked and is well worth giving a try. I've never run into a line here so if you're tired of waiting at other close by places I'd highly recommend driving the extra block to give this spot a try

Their bakery counter is STUFFED FULL of goodies. I wouldn't do them justice by trying to name everything they have. Cakes, cookies, savory & sweet kolaches, cinnamon rolls the size of your face in at least 20 varieties, & more! It's one of those things you just need to see for yourself! No frills about it. Just good, small & local! I got a the pecan cream cheese cinnamon rolls- 5/5 - just wanted to try it so we split it in 4. So good slightly heated up. Also got ham & cheese kolaches. The bread is best I've had. The ham is not cheap deli sliced ham - it's actual ham ground up. The meat to cheese ratio was a little off for my preference (stuffed full of meat, needed a little more cheese to help cut the salt) but I plan to go back and try more when passing through again. They had some boxes of day old product for discounted price. Go check them out!

This was our pizza. Yum City. Super good. It's not NYC people, just really good bread in a super small town. Don't miss it!

I Must say, we were not stirred wrong! Oak Street is just a tiny little bakery. No place to sit. Heck, almost no place to stand and you definitely HAVE TO GO! The Kolache's are absolutely amazing! So light and tasty. And, tons of flavors to choose from! I also got a sausage roll which was incredible as well. Oak street also had other pastry's and pies. If you need advice on what to choose, just ask. The service was warm and friendly. If you're in the area, this is a must stop! Jim

So everything was decided on the phone and email. We had her make 3 cakes; strawberry for the bridal cake, chocolate for the groom's cake and another vanilla cake in order to server 150 guests. My wife sent pictures of the decorations for the bride and groom's cake. The cake arrived timely and was decorated beautifully. The best part is that everyone loved the cakes!! There was not one piece left except the top piece saved for the bride and groom. We had that the next day when our family (and the bride and groom) got together for lunch. It was too good to store in a freezer for a year! The cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend this bakery. I will stop by on my way to visit my daughter to pick up cupcakes!!

We swung by on our way of Magnolia and the perfect little goodbye treats for us to pick up. First, the smell is absolutely amazing and draws you! Fresh everything being baked up on site with most of the goods on display. I was a bit unsure what to get when we walked in because of all the delicious options, but then I saw the homemade oatmeal cookie pie and that was it! My partner got the blueberry crumble muffin, not as exciting or tasty, but it was good! However the oatmeal cookie pie was scrumptious! The cookies were soft, yet firm and not crumbly while the filling was thick, light and smooth. So good! Service here, like all outlets at Magnolia, was top notch. They were hustling, but still found time to be cheerful and helpful! Overall, definitely not to be missed when visiting the Silos. You won't regret it!
