Overall, a great bakery with a wide array of pastries and coffee. I have enjoyed the chocolate croissant, ham croissant, and spinach and feta croissant. I also got an iced latte here and it was very well made. Like most bakeries, it is generally fresher in the morning. I will for sure return here.

Very cute ambiance! The pastries are good. NOT the place to go for coffee. They serve an 8oz macchiato...? The cappuccino is 12oz and the espresso drinks always taste kinda watery. The last few times I ordered coffee it was like-warm. Overall I love this place because it's very cute and the staff is always friendly, I just don't recommend for coffee.

I do want to try it all. I am so close! A new item for me is the zucchini pecan muffin. A few bites in and the sugar hit me. Too sweet for me. Pity I cannot finish the $5+ item. I tried the chocolate cake. Cake was tasty and moist. Frosting was not overly sweet. Generous amount of frosting! Of the two employees I interacted with, both had smiles and were friendly!

The comforting aroma of fresh breads and pastries mixed with the smell of freshly brewed coffee is what welcomes you as you enter. I knew everything was going to be delicious by the smell of things. I had a couple of hours to blow before an appointment so this was my first stop. I had a vanilla latte and a maple pecan loaf. The loaf was perfect....not really sweet, really light and the pecans! I bought a croissant and a kouign Amman to share and the consumers were blown away by the taste. Next time I'm in Dallas, I will make this place my first stop again. The food was fantastic, the service was awesome and the parking was free!

We stopped by on a Sunday morning to get some pastries with friends. There was no line when we came in and the girls working were very sweet to us. The vibe is like a French bakery and the decor is beautiful. I loved every detail. I ordered the raspberry Kouign Amman and my boyfriend got the chocolate almond croissant. They offered to warm up our pasties so we got them warm. I was impressed by the quality of my kouign amman, it was so delicious and soft on the inside while the outside was chewy and crispy.

Not very familiar with this area but it's located among many other shops on the street. Parking is available in the front but limited. Might suggest the nearby garage but gotta walk a bit. Cute little bakery offering many French style baking such as croissants and baguettes, but also sandwiches and pastries. Unfortunately, we arrived a tad late in the day which left us limited in choices. But it's okay! Still picked the last almond chocolate croissant and a croissant. Staff friendly and offered us to heat both up. And that's my preference in tasting them. Accompanied with a cold Mexican coke, that helped so much in cooling down from the outside 100° ! I ordered the chocolate croissant because chocolate. Found the croissant a bit on the denser side. Inside is cute and bathroom (1 only) is at the back of the place. Inside also offered a couple of small tables to enjoy, otherwise there is a few seatings outside as well. Easy spot to stay and enjoy some French style bakeries!

Came to this location on a Saturday morning and it was crazy busy understandably. There were no free seats indoor or outdoor so my wife and I got our order to go. We got the bacon cheddar Jalapeño croissant, ham and cheese croissant, chocolate croissant, and one other Blueberry pastry. The croissants were amazing!! So airy and flakey and had a great flavor with the fillings. The chocolate croissant was perfectly sweet, and the bacon cheddar Jalapeño croissant was nicely savory. I feel like I could eat 10 in a sitting.

    MOLDY CAKE POP

MOLD IN CAKE POP. I purchased a special, themed Valentine's Day Cake Pop this morning (Friday, February 14, 2025) as a gift for my valentine. After she bit into it, WE FOUND LARGE SPOTS OF MOLD ALL AROUND THE CAKE WITHIN THE ICING. We are both disgusted and upset; this mold also ruined a great Valentine's Day gift (and it was like $5 which is like so much for a cake pop anyways). I have spent a lot of money at this (overpriced) bakery over the last few years, and this is just no way to repay a loyal customer.

Ahhhhhhh the smells and the views- beauty in this bakery, pure bliss. Lovely little spot for all The delicious treats. They have great seating indoor and outdoors- clean bathrooms and sweet and friendly faces.

Always a must visit or 2 while in Dallas for French bread, pastries, and cafe! The kouign amann is my favorite, vanilla to be exact! Love this new larger space with seating inside or outside. (although still limited) Parking is a challenge, there is a garage near Sur la Table or on the side streets. Awesome, reasonably priced, fresh, enjoy!

Jambon Beurre sandwich. Very tough bread!

Hmm not the same as several years ago . I've already left a review about the way they changed up the croissants. ( went from the absolute best in Dallas. Buttery dense and chewy to over-proofed lightweight and run of the mill) but I kept coming back for the other pastries This morning I got two laminated brioche two kouign amanns a baguette and a jamón beurre. The sandwich was stale and tough to eat. And not on a baguette but some very thick sub roll. The kouign amanns were squished flat about 1/2 the height as usual and no clue what happened to the laminated brioche. Puffed up and tasted rubbery. Maybe bc it's New Year's Eve?? Have not tried the kouign amanns but hopefully they are delicious as always (even if condensed and flat). Curious about what is going on. Did they get sold to a corporate owner. Fyi still wonderful tasting baguettes. In the past I have not minded paying their prices but my last couple of trips has me rethink whether to make a special trip. They get 3 stars for having a nice selection of pastries. BUT down from 5++ stars years ago before they expanded. ps my wife ate one of the laminated brioche pastries and pronounced it as good as ever so perhaps i was unfairly put off by the visual gaps. Also I tried the Kouign Amann and it was delicious as usual, even if a bit dense. This pastry (and the baguettes) are the reason I'll continue to stop by when I'm in the knox street area. so back to a four star. I must have been in a grumpy mood :)

Another great little coffee/breakfast place. The place was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. PLENTY of pastries and stuff to choose from. The people working were super friendly and patient while trying to decide what delicious things I wanted to try. I ended up with a bacon and cheddar croissant and a fruit tart, and both were very good! Cute area inside to sit and enjoy and even a small outside area with some tables and chairs. The area around is also a great area to walk around and check out the local shops. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

For dessert, the chocolate kouign-amann was a total standout, super crispy on the outside with those rich, sweet layers inside. Staying open late worked in my favor as I got through DJing a show. The establishment is modeled like it's someone's house who just wanted to turn it into a food spot. Very welcoming, the lady at the register who took my order was nice. While every selection made it hard for me to choose from, I ended up going with the Cloud 9 - butterscotch, caramel, brown sugar meringue. I took the slice to go as I was heading back to Tulsa. It was so good. Every bite. I couldn't get enough. The combination of those 3 components went well together. As I was looking up the menu on their website, I noticed that none of the selections were the same from when I had my slice. That indicated to me that they have a rotating menu. That's going to make me a returning customer because I can have something new to look forward to.

The blueberry scone was fresh and although I only pinched a small bite from it, I could tell it was moister and more flavorful than most, well done! I wanted to try the Chocolate Kouign Amann, since I had no idea what it was, lol. It was packed with chocolate, but it wasn't fresh, the wonderful flaky pastry was rock hard. And now the quiche - I wanted SO much to love it - it was bursting with ham and the pastry looked lovely. But the pastry was SO hard that I couldn't even cut into it! I wanted to eat it with a fork but had to pick it up to bite the top part, since it was like wood. And the entire bottom of the quiche was drenched - when I bit into a bite from the lower part, all this water came squirting out - every bite that touched the bottom part of it was squirting water! I was so grossed out, why was this happening? Unlike my fave place La Madeleine, they only send you a slice, so sadly that was my one and only experience with Village Bakery quiche.
