This review is for May 2025. I was in town for a business expo in Dallas so I didn't really get to check out thoroughly or enjoy many of the park's amenities, due to the nature of my stay., I must say that at least from a landscaping, road and site construction perspective this park appeared to be very well-maintained-and the views of the lake were Awesome! The very nice couple who run the Park commissary were very lovely, polite and courteous. Unfortunately, during my stay, the lower part of the park was flooded. So, some of the amenities were not accessible due to this flooding, which presented another situation in my case: I had asked if I could extend my stay so that I might be able to use and enjoy the park a bit after my business was finished in Dallas. I sent this request via email a few days before my original scheduled departure date. The same day, I received a response by voicemail, but the voicemail did not get posted to my phone until about six or seven hours later as I left the business expo center. The voicemail told me to respond with confirmation of my intention to extend my stay via email or to call them. Well, the short of the story is, it hadn't even been a full day, and when I called back, I was told they had already given my spot to another guest who was being moved from a lower site that had flooded. This was most disappointing and I just feel that they should have waited to hear my response or they could've just held it as I had originally requested and the original email. Not sure why they would need me to reconfirm? Oh well. I see where others have had or taken an issue with the customer service at this location. Now, I can understand their concerns and why some of these former complaints are clearly founded. My recommendation to anyone considering this venue: be sure of your exact dates and length of stay, because if you need to make any adjustments or changes, they're not likely going to bend over backwards to try to accommodate you. The attitude I sensed is that they have plenty of demand because of their prime location in Grapevine and they really could not care less about making any accommodations for anyone specifically. Additionally, I will note, the shower and bathrooms, although very nicely designed, had cheap residential showerheads and curtains. The showers were clogged, barely functioning, and were quite abused from being overused-residential plumbing fixtures just do not work properly for such commercial applications as RV parks, which sustain many multiple times or more the use a regular plumbing fixture would see in a residential application. Cost or corner cutting of this sort, in my opinion, is totally tasteless. I'm still on the fence as to whether I will return I would have loved to have gone out on the lake in the kayaks or done a little more exploring, but there are many more places yet to see and explore. read more

Very well maintained park. We stayed in cabin. It was very cute and clean. The bed downstairs was horrible. It was VERY sunken in the middle and it was like we both rolled to the center of the bed. It was very uncomfortable. You could stand in the hallway, look into the bedroom and see the huge dip in the middle of the bed. Horrible! By the end of our visit, we had so much pain in our backs that I never want to be on that bed again. (An investment in new mattresses are a good idea for the owners of the camp.) We only went up into the loft once. It was cute and probably best for kids. The stairs were very steep and narrow. We felt like we could tumble down with a tiny misstep. Maybe the beds up there were more comfortable, but we couldn't risk a fall. Night time visit to the toilet could have been a disaster. The kitchen was well stocked with all the plates, glasses, cups, silverware, fridge, microwave, etc. Surprisingly, the dinner plates were NOT microwave safe. We got them out of the microwave and they felt hot enough to catch on fire. It seemed odd to NOT have microwave safe dinnerware. However, it was nice to not have to bring a lot of stuff. We felt safe to walk around the park and visit with friends and other campers. Overall, I thought it was too expensive for the quality of the cabin with the horrible bed and uncomfortable sofa. The deck was very nice with comfortable chairs. We sat out there a lot and watched boaters, ducks, geese, etc. The park is very clean and well-maintained. I would give them an "Excellent" rating in that area. It was Very relaxing. I would have rated the campground and cabins "Good" to "Great" if the bed hadn't been so horrible. read more

If you want to be a part of the elite "campers" that look down on other human beings that can't afford a 300K + rig, THIS IS YOUR PLACE. Although I will say, the only thing that divides you from the normal people is that you are willing to pay double for a subpar campground. The employees of this campground are obviously the hypocritical type. We are full time travels/creators and just stopped through to visit our parents staying at the park. From the time we arrived in our "Box truck conversion RV," (our build vehicle for our YouTube channel though we also do have a newer class A motorhome), we were treated rudely purely because they thought we were poor lower class citizens.. We never did any business with them, and never will. In all our travels we have never seen this type of blatantly obvious elitism, and we cross paths with wealthy and famous often. We live nearby but wanted to get away for the weekend and do some fishing. We stayed in a cabin right in front of the water. It's always been challenging to book a cabin because it's always full; however, we got lucky and was able to book one this time. The location is very nice and loved the waterfront view, ducks, BBQ grill, and nice patio. The patio has nice rocking chairs and a big picnic table. The AC works great, there is a full size fridge, pots, utensils, plates, coffee maker, toaster, etc. There is a queen size bed and also a pullout futon bed in the living area. What we were not happy about was that the front office said there was free wifi and where our cabin was, we should've received the strongest signal; however, we didn't have ANY signal at all. They stated it was most likely due to the large family that was staying next door that was "hogging" up the internet. Also, the hot water doesn't last very long so if there are multiple people needing to shower, good luck! The plumbing isn't that great either. The water in the toilet fills up very slowly, so you have to wait awhile between flushes. And If you want ice, make sure to buy a bag of ice because there's not an ice maker in the freezer. I would stay here again due to the beautiful location. read more

This campground was fabulous. Right on grapevine lake. Beautiful campground with lots of grass and space between sites. They even had FREE pizza on Friday night. Nice bicycling distance to the historic downtown which had so many different and nice restaurants and shops plus a 7 day a week farmers market that was full of fresh delicious fruits, veggies and even pumpkin ice cream. About 4 miles away is a central market which was new to us non-Texans. Little Whole Foods in steroids. Spectacular. Also there is a great playground and a yacht club with some good size boats. read more

This is the fanciest RV park we've ever stayed at! It was certainly on the pricey side, but it was so convenient to pull into a nice large, level concrete pad. The setup time was so fast and easy! This is a great place for newbies to park. And you get your own table and quite a bit of space. They have tons of spot options for different rig lengths. You should be able to find whatever you need, but definitely book well in advance - this place is popular. The water views are pretty and it's a large campground, so evening strolls are a must. There's also a cute little convenience store on the premises, so I made mandatory pit stops there during my walks to grab an ice cream. This place is kid-friendly, elderly-friendly, and everything in between. There is also a wine-tasting place in town that's fairly close to the campground that I walked to (it's a long walk, but totally doable if you wish to try out some wine in a place called Grapevine). My only complaint was that this campground felt like a business rather than a quaint getaway. You arrive and they give you this big fancy folder with the campground name on the front and all kinds of information inside. Sure it's helpful, but it seemed excessive and a lot of wasted paper - I thought to myself, I guess that's partly why the rates are high. It would be better to give guests a simple one-pager, and then have a shelf of brochures for people to take if they wish. You may find it silly, but it rubbed me the wrong way. I prefer places that have a more go-with-the-flow small business feel, rather than a tourist resort. Also, there is a gate at the front entrance, so if this is something you care about, you're in luck. read more

This is a nice quiet campground on Lake Grapevine. The restrooms/showers are clean and nice. It is paved with level pads and has good security. A gate house during the day which insures only registered guests come and go and an automated security gate for after hours. Biking to downtown historic Grapevine is totally do-able...or just around the campground for the exercise. Reasonable rates. Only downside is not all sites are full hook-up and NO cable. Very nice campground. We called on a Wed evening around 6:30, left a message and they called back by 7:00. They had one site left. This is a high end park so the cost ranges from $55-$75 for one night. Gate code at nite after 7:00 PM. Sites are spread out over lots of lakefront acreage. Grass, trees, huge sites, many pull throughs, camp store, laundry, and golf cart rentals. The main thing I noticed at this park was that people seem to stay in their rigs. We took beautiful walks every evening and we rarely saw anyone else. It's like we had the place to ourselves. I loved the trees surrounding the park, hard to believe we were in a city. Laundry machines take a chg card so we used our visa card and did several loads. Fireworks on Friday nights at 9:30. Definitely would stay here again if we are in the area. Cute Grapevine Main street shops and dining about a mile away. read more

I almost hate to make this review because it is tough to get into this place sometimes. But, I have to say that this is a first rate resort on a beautiful lake. Our campsite was spacious and perfect for the grandkids and dogs. The hosts here are the best. I got my new 5th wheel in a bind I could not get out of myself. The host and his wife came out am got me squared away in no time. This place is very close to all the fun things to do in Grapevine. The grandkids loved the Sunday donuts at the store. We forgot our firewood, but no problem. The folks at the store deliver a nice load right to your fire pit. It lasted us for 2 nights no problem. I see someone mentioned the poor Verizon service. That is true. We just bought a new cell signal booster that we tried out here to make sure it worked. We went from 2 bars to 5 and were streaming Amazon Prime video no problem. This place is less than an hour from home for us so it is the perfect lake getaway park for us. Check it out! read more

We stayed in a cabin and the 2 downfalls for us were no wifi on the side where the cabins are as well as very limited hot water to shower. 10/10! Meets all camping requirements! Does not allow anyone to live at the campsite (besides the camp hosts) so the park is neat and clean. Campsites are very spaced out. So you feel like you're camping, not at a trailer park. All pads are concrete with full hookups. Lake for swimming, playground, 2 bathhouses and 2 washaterias. Great views, 10 minutes or less from food/gas/shopping, rents golf carts, kayaks, floats, etc. general store. The check in hosts were a little rude when we tried to check in without a reservation, but everything else made up for this. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Oh and water pressure will blow you away. Don't look anywhere else!! read more

Drove up to visit the park this Sunday and arrived at 1:00 PM. Gate instructions requested all guests check in. So we stopped in to check in. We requested to book a site and take a drive around to take a look at the park and scout out some campsites to our liking. We were told we could NOT drive through the park. We could come back during the week. I pointed out the obvious that we were here now and respectfully requested if we could take a drive. We are lifetime campers and know how to carefully drive through camp grounds. He still said NO. If that is yalls idea of hospitality my suggestion is camp somewhere where you will be welcome. There are plenty of great places to camp within an hour of the Metroplex. It was our first visit to the campground. A word of advice to Vineyards. Beware of possibility of being denied entry at park host's discretion for whatever reason she chooses! Regardless of being paid in full months ago! To The Vineyards Campground & Cabins regardless of what amenities are available or up and working or how nice the campground area is, and it is very nice here, although almost all amenities are under water cause of flooding right now, and they found a body floating in the marina just across from here a few days ago and 1 poor man drowned there while we were here!! So sad! none of the 4 Rvs booked here for 4 fanilies traveling together here right for all this week will EVER return! Horrible customer service! We specially asked when on the phone making these reservations months ago if custom made RV was acceptable and if an older AVION camper were both good to go. We were told yes, no problem. Get all the way here from hours away and you refuse to let the custom camper in, regardless of it being licensed, inspected and registered and AND called us liars that we we never told it was ok in the first place! We had crying kids who were looking forward to this trip since booking it on February! There is a reason we asked about the rules in the first place before booking, its a city rule or your rule or whatever the case, but you saying your lady who made all 4 reservations would have never said a custom camper was ok is just crappy and rude and not true! Not when another employee told you there were notes in your system where we asked and were told yes! You refused to believe it! Very disappointing and we had to scramble to figure out where one whole family can now stay after driving all this way! Your own rules page states it is subject to management approval for non-commercially manufactured, which is exactly why we asked !!!!! You just refused to be cooperative at all! We have had no issues with their custom camper in other campgrounds in Galveston, Fredericksburg or Tyler where we have all stayed together ! read more

Excellent place to stay. Best time to come and visit would be around Halloween. They close half of the park for one day and the City of Grapevine puts on a Halloween bash for everyone. The down side, need to plan early. The upside great fun for kids and adults. Also, staff is great, location is right on the lake, shopping near by and security is top notch. read more

The site (#45) was well maintained and waterfront. Lots of sun. Had a fire pit but lacked a charcoal grill. Spent a week here and was very happy. Cable was working but missing a block of channels and no one could seem to figure out why- not a big deal as we had most of them. Windy location with winds usually coming in from the northeast so canopy use can be limited. Folks at the campground office and store are very friendly and accommodating. The landscapers accidentally hit our sewer line with a weed eater and they went out of their way to replace it and help me reinstall the new one. I would highly recommend this campground and hope to go back if I'm ever in the area again!! read more

Our stay at The Vineyards Campground ended when we discovered bed bugs, but what really soured our experience was the way Ralph, the Campground Manager, handled it. With no prior exposure, my mom didn't realize she had bed bugs until our 5th day when she squished a bug running across her pillow and discovered it was full of blood. She had seen little spots of blood on her sheets but initially thought the sheets just hadn't been laundered well. Once she told us, my sister-in-law and I checked her room and found quite a few dead bugs on the floor around the bed. We put them in a Ziploc bag to show the front office. The gentleman at the office was very kind and sympathetic. He suggested we launder all our clothes first and then come back to deal with the refunds we had requested. So we loaded up every washable item and headed to a nearby laundromat and started washing and drying everything on HOT. While we were at the laundromat, I received a phone call from Ralph, the Campground Manager, who sounded angry. He started off by telling me there would be no refunds and that we needed to check out of our cabins immediately. He added that the inspectors had looked at the bugs we brought in and they thought the bugs we showed them looked old. I don't know why he mentioned that except that perhaps he was insinuating we travel with a bag of dead bed bugs so we can falsely accuse people and get our money back. That just added insult to injury. He also said he'd heard I had been trouble from the start. I don't know if he was referring to me asking for clean towels on day 4 or to me reporting the broken/missing items in my cabin so I wouldn't be charged for them at checkout. The inspector did eventually come but we had to call back the next day, after leaving the campground and finding different accommodations, to find out the results since they did not call us. His report confirmed that there were bedbugs in my mom's cabin. Ralph did agree to refund my mom's rental expense but there were no apologies. She asked if he would contribute towards the cost of replacing her fabric suitcase (which sat on the floor right next to the infested bed and couldn't be laundered) but he refused to consider it. Many of her clothing items were ruined by the hot water & drying temps. My family was concerned that our cabin might also be contaminated because our daughter had a sleepover in my mom's cabin with her own sleeping bag, which she then brought back to our cabin when she returned. Also, my son found some kind of bug in his bed one night and in hindsight, we wondered if it might have been a bed bug. So, after reporting our discovery to the front desk, we also laundered every washable item in our cabin, as directed by the gentleman at the office. But since the inspector found no bugs in our cabin, Ralph was only willing to refund our $20 laundry expenses. Regarding the rest of the campground, the lake seemed lower than usual so the bottom and edges were mucky, full of duck poop and broken clam shells. Thankfully, the general store at the campground sold water shoes for $11, and that saved our kids' feet from further cuts when they played in/near the lake. Also, there was no shade over their playground area so we weren't able to use it much with temps in the upper 90's and low 100's. We loved the city of Grapevine, but none of our four families, who came from California, North Dakota, Minnesota & Florida for a family reunion, would ever stay at Vineyards Campground again. I realize bed bugs are an increasing problem for many places, so I don't hold that against them, but I do hold them responsible for the lack of kindness in their response. That would have been even more valuable than the refund. read more

We came to the Vineyard Campground for Spring Break 2013. We had campsite eight; a pull through site with water/50amp electric/sewer and great views of the lake and marina. Every campsite is very well-maintained (landscapers came once during our week here) and the staff is super friendly. This campground is in a perfect spot; only 30 minutes to downtown Dallas, 10 minutes to Legoland (Grapevine Mall) and 45 minutes to the Fort Worth stockyards. read more

We stayed here this weekend for our very first outing in our new travel trailer. It was excellent. We stayed in site 74. It was a "bronze" site but honestly there wasn't a bad site in the park. Very clean and well maintained. Peaceful and quiet. All the staff was super friendly. WiFi was very good and the site hook ups were all well maintained. We will definitely be back. The Vineyards is our regular stay park when we come to this area of Texas to visit friends and relatives. There are not enough good things to say about this park. They can accommodate any size rig; it is on inlet of Lake Grapevine so you have beautiful views of the water. There are cement pads, in most of the sites there are huge trees. Site are large sites, and have bbq grills. Some sites have Ramada's. If you want to have a reunion here, they have a large covered space with grills to use. There are resident ducks and sometimes Canadian geese in fall and spring. You can fish here, rent paddle boards, canoes, and the marina is certainly within walking distance to rent motor boats. There is a little store that sells the basics including fishing items. On Sunday mornings they have donuts and coffee and Fridays are delicious hot dogs. Friday nights there is a fireworks show on the lake. The Vineyards has a front gate so unless you know the code, you cannot come in. Security is important. I like that. They are a member of Good Sam. This Park is the most award winning park in the state of Texas. read more

When we showed up, they would not let us claim our reservation and refunded us. Apparently they have special reservation policies that they do not disclose on their website. I never actually got to stay there. the weekly rates looked nice but the water is so low there is no lakeview. I called and wanted to rent a cabin but I have to have my service dog and they refused my reservation. I think there is a law against this as other hotels have accepted him. even restaurants. I will seek legal advice from the ADA and see what happens. at this point even if they are forced to accept a working dog I would not stay there. the lady that answered the phone was so hateful about it. read more

I am from the area, but my family just stayed here for five days and we spent some time on the grounds. It is beautifully kept, quiet, and the cabins are clean. Awesomely smooth roads around the grounds which is perfect for biking. My family was surprised to see the lake so low. They booked online and nothing was stated regarding this. There was a little bit of water to look at. And they loved having the ducks coming right to the cabin porch for bread crumbs. The rockers on the porch were nice and comfy and we loved making s'mores over the fire pit. YUM!!! My sister was also surprised to not have any cable in the cabin. They offer some dishes, but with the sign in the cupboard saying to wash your own dishes, we re-washed before using. As I'm sure anyone would. I'm giving the campground a three for a very important reason. SECURITY ISSUES. The grounds boast a 7pm lockdown of the gate requiring a pin to enter after this time. Out of the five nights my family stayed, only one night was the gate secured. The rest of that time it was easy for others to access the grounds after hours. I hope after seeing this, the owners will hunker down and change this. The loft area is for kids only. The ceiling is extremely low so don't try and sleep adults or anyone over four feet in the loft. Overall, my family was pleased with their stay and I will keep this place in mind for any family visits in the future. read more
