An owner who cares about doing things right. Teachers who love their jobs. Many of the kids come from the area. They're also diverse, too, which we loved. The balance of creative and academic activities is so thoughtfully done. Each day is thoroughly designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. Ms. Maria, Ms. Beatrice, and Ms. Angela are truly incredible. Their patience, kindness, and genuine love for the children made such a meaningful difference in our son's growth and confidence. They supported him beautifully in his learning and were especially amazing during potty training; always encouraging, gentle, and positive. Watching him thrive in their care has meant everything to us. Ms. Julia brings a level of professionalism, care, and organization that is truly felt throughout the school. She clearly understands how to thoughtfully run a preschool while still maintaining a warm, family like environment. We are endlessly grateful for the love, care, and strong foundation this school has given our son. West Hollywood Children's Academy is truly a gem, and we would recommend it without hesitation to any family looking for the very best preschool experience.

The teachers are incredibly nurturing, attentive and genuinely invested in each child's growth and happiness. The nature based environment encourages creativity, exploration and love of learning, while the academic program provides a wonderful foundation for kindergarten. One of the things we appreciate most is how much emphasis is placed on the whole child. The children enjoy organic meals, hands on activities, gardening, music, movement and meaningful social-emotional learning experiences every day.our child has grown tremendously in confidence, independence and curiosity since attending.

When I asked, they didn't know. Despite promises of organic food, they gave store-bought snacks, and they wouldn't allow us to bring homemade meals. The class sizes were larger than claimed, and teacher coverage was inconsistent. One particular teacher's presence made my child anxious, and he'd cry at the sight of her shirt. One day, I noticed blood on his clothes; I was told he fell, but supervision was lacking. After a year, the only things he learned were negative habits. The fees varied by family, not fairness. I hope this honest review helps other moms find the safe, loving environment every child deserves.

The Staff Ms. Monica and Ms. Nancy have both been teaching at Yachay for over 8 years. That kind of consistency speaks volumes about the school's supportive environment, low turnover, and commitment to quality care and education. 2. Curriculum and SEL The school follows a clear scope and sequence for the year and thoughtfully integrates social-emotional learning into daily routines. For example, my son received a laminated "feelings chart" connected to read-alouds during circle time. He also practices mindfulness and breathing through yoga. On top of that, they offer affordable extracurriculars such as gym and music. 3. Food My son genuinely enjoys the meals and snacks, which is a huge plus. 4. Family Events Families are invited to celebrate birthdays and attend special events like dance performances, which creates a strong sense of community. 5. Progress and Communication The school provides progress reports and report cards during parent-teacher conferences. I appreciate seeing how my son is growing, as well as knowing the areas where he can continue developing. 6. Kindergarten Readiness I feel confident my child will transition smoothly into TK/K. Yachaywasi equips students with the tools they need--fine motor skills, patience, independence, and work habits--to thrive in a larger academic setting. 7. Spanish Immersion The Spanish immersion program is another highlight, giving my son exposure to language and culture Overall, Yachaywasi has been an incredible place for my son to learn and grow, and I'm grateful for the care and expertise the teachers provide every day.

There's not a lot of kids which means the teachers can really pay attention to their development. My daughter quickly loved it and speaks of her teachers often. They also offer a camp during traditional school breaks which is helpful for working parents.

Our daughter started at Piper when she was just 1 year and 10 months old, and over the years, Piper has become so much more than a school, it has become a second home. The teachers have played an instrumental role in helping our daughter grow into the confident, curious, kind, and joyful little person she is today. Every teacher we've encountered has been caring, engaged, nurturing, and genuinely invested in the well-being and development of each child. The curriculum strikes a beautiful balance between learning, creativity, independence, and play, and our daughter has absolutely thrived here. One of the things that has always stood out to us is how excited she was to go to school each and every day. As a parent, there is no greater gift than dropping your child off knowing they feel safe, loved, and happy. Equally special has been the community. Both our daughter and our family have formed friendships and relationships that will last far beyond our years at Piper. The sense of connection among parents, teachers, and staff is something truly unique. I also deeply appreciate the transparency and openness of the school. The parent lounge is such a thoughtful touch, I mean what other school invites parents to stay connected and work on campus whenever they'd like? From the exceptional teachers, to the thoughtful curriculum, to the warm and welcoming community, Piper has exceeded our expectations in every way. We are leaving with full hearts, lifelong friendships, and countless beautiful memories. Thank you, Piper, for helping our daughter bloom. We will always be grateful. Pros: - the academics are excellent, especially when it comes to learning to read. - cannot say enough good things about Ms. Gia! - they enjoyed coming to school and loved their teachers - there is a true commitment to the value of bilingualism Opportunities for growth which I don't think could be learned from a tour or handbook: - traditional binary gender stereotypes are reinforced with explanations or comments like "boys like to play more rough" - there is a missed opportunity to engage with parents as equal partners who can add value. - I wouldn't mind sacrificing the academics a bit for more time spent on social emotional content, such as how to navigate conflict on the playground or being inclusive of all classmates or celebrating growth and transitions Would I choose a different preschool if I had to do it all over again? I don't think so. We would still have chosen this school. It was a solid start to our children's school experiences.

The biggest, loudest red flag is their snack menu: skinny POPCORN and RAISINS, two of the most commonly known choking hazards. The admin confirmed their snack schedule is up to date, and indicated "nothing has ever happened before" when questioned about the popcorn and raisins. Well, I'm glad none of the kids under your supervision have choked as a result, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. Any decent preschool / day care would not endanger their littles. On top of that, the teachers looked tired and the playrooms underwhelming. I observed a couple of children practicing writing, yet they seemed dim and not as engaged or as happy as other kids I've observed at other schools. No, I would not recommend this place. I would stay far away.

The program is truly special--weekly animal classes, music, dance, and art activities that enrich the children and help them grow in so many ways. As someone who speaks several languages, the language aspect was very important to me. I've seen a big difference--my children started to understand and speak a little French in a short time. Every day at 10:00 AM, they have a structured learning session where they learn colors, numbers, and the alphabet. After just three months, the progress was amazing. The food is kosher, organic, fresh, and delicious--homemade meals that I would happily eat myself. She cried for the first two weeks, which is completely normal at that age, but Anies met every wobble with calm patience and genuine kindness. That gentle transition paid off. Now she walks through the door without even looking back, completely confident, and she has never cried again. Most importantly, I feel she is truly safe there, and that peace of mind is everything. The kids also enjoy genuinely fun and enriching activities: art projects, music time, and even visits from animals. It's a place where learning and play blend beautifully. The environment is warm, attentive, and personal. It's clear that the children are cared for, not simply supervised. Anies really understands them. I highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a nurturing, thoughtful, and safe place for their child.
