Stopped in recently on a Saturday for lunch. Husband and I both had the tenderloin special with fries. The tenderloin was the best we've ever had. You could tell it was hand cut, pounded and breaded. Polite and friendly staff, decently sized area for larger groups, menu has a solid variety for a basic classic bar feel tied inside the small town restaurant. We got a lot of pizzas for our group a year ago and keep coming back and enjoy it every time. Haven't found reason to complain yet, late night hours make for great times to share with friends and eat up good food. Hawaiian Grilled Chicken Salad is super tasty and very filling for green stuff. Def will get again. Need to see more gluten free options given the changing nutrition needs like myself. I probably should just try rye bread (if they got it) seems to affect me less than the generic white stuff. Just learned they do a special Superbowl party too. We were in from out of town & stayed down the street. We ordered a pizza & breadsticks and the pizza was really good. I especially liked how the cheese on top of the pizza was just a little browned. There was makeshift seating outside which was great; all seats were spread apart and the staff wore masks. After dinner, we went inside and sat at the bar and eventually made conversation with Mike, Cubby, & 1 other woman who we cannot remember her name (sorry!) but she had blonde hair. Everyone was super friendly & we had a great time that night. The staff recommended that we go to Wildlife Prairie Park & we're so happy we went with their recommendation- we had an awesome time the next day w the family. If we ever come back to town, we will def be back here! read more

This place is a local's hotspot. Most days you can order from the Gill's side and get anything on the menu. A couple of secrets to the place include their pizza, catfish filets (amazing every time), and the onion rings. Make sure you don't order the stringy onion rings tho... go off the Gills menu for the real deal. Portions are on the large side so come hungry. Worth the stop if you are passing through. Wednesday's are chicken special days so get ready for a bit of a wait... but it's definitely worth it. read more

My go-to place for eats in Hanna City. Great pizza, lunches, and carry-out anything (they're speedy, present their pub-fare well, and you can even order beer for take out!). Ordered pizza, garlic bread and a slice of chocolate cake. The pizza was nothing to write home about and the garlic bread was good only when dipped in the sauce. First time I've edited a review here. I have to give you all a warning. If you go here when it's not too busy, everything will be fine. But lately, the minute the place is more than half full, service just falls off the cliff. They try to run it with minimal staff, since they don't have to do as much cooking, and it really affects quality of service. The last three times I've visited when it's been busy, and all three times I had trouble with my food being delivered to me. I mean, good food, when you finally get it, but the only thing I really get here is a cold club sandwich. So, cheese, lettuce, bacon, turkey. Slapped on a cold bun. Side of mayo. Once I came at lunch time, took them 45 minutes to get my sandwich to me. They gave me a discount, which was nice, but I'd rather not have to wait that long for...a sandwich. Second and third times were dinner service, and both times the people at my table got all their cooked food before me, and my food showed up last (again, not cooked, just a cold sandwich) or not at all. That happened tonight. My kids got a hamburger, a chicken meal, and a grilled cheese. These all showed up together. Then my waitress went on break, and nobody else even stopped by the table. After about 10 minutes, my kids were almost done eating, so I just went up front, asked them to take the sandwich off the bill, and paid. The guy was nice, and then said they've been having problems getting sandwiches out tonight. He found my sandwich sitting there, and kindly boxed it for me. But I'd rather have eaten with my kids. So just be aware, if they're busy, service will suffer. WARNING: The Cherry Coke's at this joint will ruin you for them anywhere else in the world. This is the only place I order them now. I think they use RC for the mixer and then dump in a truckload of grenadine. Whatever it is, I'm hooked. Ok, this place is weird, because it's a restaurant within a restaurant. It operates out of the backside of Gil's Supper Club (another good place to eat!), and I think they even share a kitchen. But the menu is separate from Gil's (though I think you can order off the Gil's menu here, sometimes). It's pub fare: Pizza (good pizza, too), sandwiches, salads, and super good cheese sticks and other appetizers. Atmosphere: Kind of outdoorsy and good old boy with a few stuffed game animals and lots of TV's. The bathrooms are clean and serviceable, the chairs and stools are comfortable to sit on, and there is a bank of gambling machines in the front near the bar. It's technically a bar/pub, but you'll see kids in there eating alongside parents all the time. Our kids love the place! Service: The service is generally pretty fast. They usually only have one bartender who also waits on tables, though there seem to be two bartenders when it gets busier. There is also a small kitchen right in view of the tables where they prepare a lot of the food, but the one or two kitchen staff also go through to the big kitchen at Gil's for some stuff. We usually come here once or twice a month for about 8 years now, and we've never had service that I'd complain about. If it's slow, you can see the reason, lots of people or a large group. Food: Portion sizes are HUGE. Unlike some places that serve lots of food when they know it's not that good, the food here is delicious. And you can't eat it all. As soon as they bring you a drink, in a 32 oz cup, you realize that you're in for a gut buster. My husband and I usually start with the cheese sticks. Ok, so they're likely frozen and ordered from a food service, but they are perfectly prepped and so darned good with a crumbly coating, not the weird, smooth coated ones you see sometimes. We have also ordered the combo platters and the various apps on those were also delicious as well. When we eat here with the kids, we have to get two orders. The kids take those things like a lion on a gazelle. Mains: My husband generally orders one of the burgers, although he LOVES the pizza, and will order it and take the rest home sometimes. The pizza is a thin, crispy crust and the topping ratios are perfect. You can't go wrong with either. I usually order a salad or sandwich. The salads are too huge to finish. I recommend getting a to go box and boxing up half before you put your dressing on. The ingredients are fresh and the ratios are great. Usually, salads come with a TON of lettuce and a few toppings, but here you actually get plenty of toppings. The other thing I love here is the cold club sandwich. The turkey and ham are sliced thick, the cheese is so tasty, and the bread is a sweet Italian loaf. Again, it's too big, so I usually box up one half right away. If I'm not going right home, I get the mayo on the side, too. read more
