10/10! The Washington Cafe has the best chai tea latte I've ever had in all my years! I spiced it up and made it dirty with a shot of espresso. The chai is worth the trip alone! I also love a cafe that has nice treats as well. The jalapeño cheddar biscuit with turkey sausage and cheese was so good! The biscuit melts in your mouth. Another treat is the chewy! So good! You'll also walk into a cafe that immediately oozes out its love of art. There are so many great piece to see as you're sipping your drink. Whenever I'm back in the area, I'll definitely be back. read more

My husband and I visited this cute stylishly decorated coffee shop in Mt Pleasant and they didn't disappoint. Saturday morning coffee date with my son. Decided to check out the newly opened Washington Café and was pleasantly pleased! The owner, Peter, is kind and down to earth and really takes time to make his customers feel at home. The café is spacious and has a really great vibe. A family friendly atmosphere with the added touch of personal, family photos on the wall. Cultural artwork throughout the space as great tunes filled the air. They have a great selection of coffee, teas, and treats. I decided on a Dirty Chai and it was smooth and delicious. It was a great complement to the Strawberry Cornmeal cake. A must try. Cozy ambiance, great service, and seriously good drinks and treats! A great start to my weekend! read more

I visited on my own earlier this year and HAD to host my nonprofit's a women's bible study here! The venue, drinks and light bites created the perfect atmosphere for our sessions. I stopped in for a quick coffee & breakfast, I ordered a Jamaican vanilla bean latte and the jalapeño cheddar breakfast sandwich. Both the coffee and the breakfast sandwich were delicious and the service was great! I loved having the opportunity to look at the art while I waited. As a certified coffee snob (and barista for 3 years), Washington KNOWS BALL. One of the best lattes I've ever had, Ethiopia sourced beans with no harsh bite, no acidity and almost no aftertaste!!! The environment is the most cozy in the area!! Peter is so passionate about his work and is such a kind soul. He supports local artists and it is the perfect place to study or work online. I recently visited this cute quaint coffee shop in Mt Pleasant. The ambiance was amazing! Decor top notch! And the service was professional and inviting. Did I mention the delicious coffee? I had a latte and my husband had an iced coffee. I chose to have my latte with almond milk because regular milk just ain't for me these days if you know what I mean. I love coffee and search for small quaint shops wherever I go and The Washington Cafe did not disappoint. Super comfy, modern, and inviting. As a lifelong coffee lover, I was excited to see another coffee house opening in the Lowcountry area of Mount Pleasant and Charleston. From the moment you walk through the door, the openness is striking, especially since many coffee houses can feel small or cramped. The layout is well thought out, with an ordering area that includes wall seating and barstools, and a separate common area with tables and a couch that gives a cozy, "at home" or visiting-a-friend feel. The overall vibe of The Washington Café is warm and inviting, from the friendly customer service to the décor choices and the standout artwork that meticulously adorns the walls. I ordered a hot latte and the strawberry cornmeal cake, which was perfectly baked, tasty and full of flavor, which I enjoyed while working from my computer. On my way out, I grabbed an iced coffee and some merch. The coffee is rich, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. It is a great spot to work, meet for a meeting, or simply enjoy a really good cup of coffee! I just discovered the Washington Café on Route 17 in Mount Pleasant and I can't believe I hadn't found this place sooner. It's truly a hidden gem. Today was my first time ever trying sweet potato pie, and it was absolutely incredible. I ate every single bite -- even the last crumbs of the crust. It was perfectly sweet, homemade, and comforting in the best way. I also ordered a brown sugar latte, and it was one of the most delicious lattes I've had in a long time. Peter made it, and it was spot-on. Peter, the owner, is incredibly welcoming and has created such a warm, relaxing atmosphere. It's the kind of café where you can sit back, enjoy great music, sip your coffee, and ease into the morning.
