She's incredibly sweet and unassuming, but don't come up against her...she's like a mama bear and looks out for her clients like no other. She reminds me of that Shakespeare quote: "Though she be but little, she is fierce". My second home purchase (both have been in Alexandria) was a SFH seemingly in pretty good shape. Lisa questioned the structural integrity of the home when she looked in the crawl space (YUP, she was down in the crawl space with her flashlight), but I didn't see anything readily apparent to say it was a problem. Well, it's a problem if Lisa says it's a problem. She simply will not allow her clients to purchase a home that might be unsafe. From the electrical panel that seemed a little wonky but functional, to the rotted wood under the water heater that was deemed safe and not at risk of collapse by the inspector, Lisa wasn't having any of it. Master negotiator, she got EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY INSPECTOR ITEMS taken care of by the seller. I couldn't believe it. I was nervous, and shy and would not have asked for half of the 'punch-list' items on the inspector list...suck it up and wait until after closing to fix it would have been my motto, especially in this crazy competitive market. But Lisa stuck up for me; her approach was solid and she was unwavering...right down to re-inspection of the home by a structural engineer hours before closing. When it was all over, the seller's agent was dumbfounded; he had no idea what had hit him. Lisa is what had hit him. Always polite. Exceptionally respectful. Consummate professional. That's Lisa. If I ever heard anyone say a negative thing about her, I'd instantly know their character was flawed. She's just that pleasant to work with and I don't say that lightly. When my mom and stepdad began shopping for a new home in Oklahoma recently, I was saddened that I could not give them Lisa, as she would have been the greatest housewarming gift anyone could receive. I recommend her to everyone I know, from small condo to large family home. If you want someone who is truly looking out for you and dedicatedly on your side in a world filled with narcissistic snowflakes who would take advantage of you at every opportunity then, I promise, you want to rely on Lisa!

We encountered a number of challenges during one of our settlements, and though none were the fault of MBH or Richard himself, he took it upon himself to help us work through the issues. No matter when we called or emailed, he either answered right away or responded shortly thereafter, typically within minutes. Though I know he has many clients, he managed to make us feel as if we were his only one. Our experience with Richard was 5 Star+ and left us with a extraordinary reminder of what excellence and customer service looks like.

They have been very professional, and have answered any questions that we had, even if they could easily have told us to call our loan officer for instead. The second time we went, they recognized that we were repeat customers, thanked us for it, and even took a personal check rather than making us pay to get a bank check, which certainly saved us some money. We were contracted to remove a smoke odor that stood in the way of them selling their clients home. In the days leading up to this service Kate expertly communicated and arranged things with us and the client. When we showed up to perform our service the client had been well educated on our service by Kate and Cristina. When we finished our service we accidentally left an electronic metering device behind. We were told by the client that we could stop by the next day to pick it up. When we arrived we met Cristina who was furiously working to clean, vacuum, straighten things, and set up for showings that she had booked for that day. Such a bad experience!…read more In March we refinanced our house, pulling out a large amount of cash so that we could buy a rental property, which we bought in May. Both closings went really well, thanks to Andrea Beddingfield, who did the closing. FOUR MONTHS after our refi, Eric Nesheim, the attorney for Title One, called to tell me that due to an error on his part, he had shorted our cash-out by $10,000! This was only discovered by an internal audit. He also let it slip that the audit had found a similar error in another client's settlement. I asked Mr. Nesheim to reimburse me for the interest I had paid for the four months that I did not have the $10,000. He replied that it was my fault for not noticing the discrepancy and that he didn't see "how that could work." He was very curt and not at all apologetic about making the error. I admit that I was an idiot for not noticing the error, but between the refi, the new purchase and getting it fixed up to rent, I missed it. And, of course, I thought I was dealing with an honorable company.
