Very unorganized. Brought a necklace in for sizing and had sled to the clasp to be switched. The young man who helped me didn't note my request for a new clasp so unfortunately it didn't get done. Oh well. When I returned to pick up, they had misplaced the pendant. What made this such a rotten experience was the so called "manager', Bob. She had to be fetched from her break, came in with a snarky attitude, acted as if it was somehow my fault that they're unorganized. When I suggested that the mishandling of my jewelry presented a training opportunity, dear Bob tried to tell me that because no one else has ever complained, there wasn't a need for training ‍ The manager is the one who desperately needs customer service training. She went on to tell me that she was possibly having a heart attack and didn't like her job. Yikes. Another staff member finally located my misplaced pendant (not sure why it was in the laser engraving machine?) so I was able to pay and leave. The hilarious part about this whole thing is that within an hour of leaving the store, I receive a text message asking how my visit went...press 1 for satisfied, 2 for unsatisfied. Watches, like wines and country houses, often become more valuable with age (especially if one has owned them for a couple of decades) I've taken two watches there -- a mid range, repectable Hamilton and a (rather more elegant) Cartier (both 1990's tank styles which have appreciated nicely) The battery replacement service takes only minutes (one can stroll, shop or dine at the food court in the Hulen Mall while waiting), and the refurbish service ($290) took only one day. They will do a quick appraisal as well (a detailed one can be had for $92) The manager, Rachel, has been with the Fast Fix chain for over a decade and is friendly, fast and helpful. Dropped off a ring on the 18th to have some custom work done for a xmas gift, very simple for 120.00 they would cut off the ring and make into a necklace.. I could do this with a Dremel in 5 min and will be! I was told that it would be ready for pick up on the 23rd. I came in asked for it and was swiftly told I was being rude for expecting it to be done today, it was then explained... that they didn't have enough time to do the job , wow, this was an xmas gift hence needing to be done by xmas , why take the order??.. Wanted to get a few links taken out of my watch. I asked the guy how much it would cost and before he could answer me he insisted on taking a look at the watch. As soon as he saw that it was designer he asked for $20. $20?!?! What a rip off...so I left and went down the street and got it done for $6. In response to the owners comment: I understand what you are saying, but it was a basic watch and it took no more than 4 minutes to take a link out. If I were getting it repaired that would have been a different story. All I was saying is that for that particular service, several watch repair shops around town are significantly cheaper than yours. I cannot comment on the other services you provide, of which I'm sure you do a very good job given your 20 years of experience. read more

My husband was leaving on a job for a few months and we wanted to resize his grandmother's ring to fit me. Mind you, I had just had a baby 5 days prior and was still carrying water weight and swelling. We were on very limited time and my husband insisted on having it done soon, we were also promised a warranty to size down once the swelling went down. My first problem was when I walked into the shop and was met with the rudest employee. I payed no attention to him as we tested sizes to see how far we would have to size up, he began making comments under his breath every time we would have to go half a size up. I was 5 days postpartum and also blessed with my fathers genetics. I shouldn't have to explain myself. I walked out to find my husband to explain to him why I didn't want it done there but he still insisted. I got over it. fast forward two weeks later and my swelling finally went down so I went back in to get it sized down. No problem. Said it would be done next day. I had to call two days later to ask if it was ready and was told it was third in line to be serviced. Got a message an hour later saying it was ready. Now at this point I was over how rude the employees were. I slipped the ring on and it fit perfectly so I walked out to avoid any more interactions that could potentially hurt my feelings. I got home and my ring is completely ruined. misshaped and it's safe to say I will not return and will have to spend more money to have it fixed. I can't believe I was referred to them by an employee at Zales. What a horrible business. The original service was also $140. read more

When I arrived at the store, Alex remembered me and the 3 things I needed to have done. He was very reassuring about my concerns and questions regarding removing my diamond from the original setting. He cleaned the ring, tested all the diamonds in it and then allowed me to watch him carefully remove the main 1.14 carat stone. Alex also replaced the batteries in my 2 Movado watched. Went in for a simple battery change and when I picked it up the Roman numerals on the face and dial marker were all loose .. needless to say a perfectly good MK 500$watch (2yrs old)working great , no longer works ... and the only resolution on their behalf would be for me to pay again for them to fix it !!! Update on my Versace watch:I went inside Benbrook Antique Mall and there's a watch repair inside and I just asked him to replace my battery,I didn't say about fast and fix told me about mechanical issue, he showed me right away that they put a wrong battery that's why it didnt work,my watch is working perfectly good for $12 now.I am glad I listened to my intuition that there's nothing wrong with my watch, save my $295 they asked me for repair.Had a lifetime warranty but not anymore. read more

I was pleasantly surprised when I was quoted only $19.95 to fix my gold chain! AND FAST FIX HAD IT READY ON 20 MINUTES! If I had known they were going to be that reasonable I would not have waited 4 weeks to have it repaired. Zales wanted $75 to repair it because i did not purchase their gold warranty and i would have had to wait 2 weeks to get it back. I think 20 bucks is a much better deal than $75! Not only that, the guy helping me, Mike noticed a broken prong on my engagement ring. I could have lost my diamond! Needless to say, i had that fixed too!. Mike was so nice, not pushy at all. This franchise is BAD! The reviews are accurate. This used to be a wonderful place in the corner at Hulen Mall with excellent service and very friendly staff. Now it is one step up from a pawn shop. The person who works there now is rude and abrupt. If you can find him when you walk in he will smell horribly of smoke...all kinds of smoke. His hands are horribly dirty and his language is inappropriate. I went in several weeks ago to replace some lifetime batteries on watches that had been at that location before and he tried to charge me again for a lifetime battery stating that it had never been changed. I still had the battery card. He then said "well, I'm not arguing with you! Just take your watch!" While I was in there several "friends" had clear access to come and go as they pleased.
