Very surprised to see a few negative reviews here. I have been using The Water Man for several years. Excellent quality of water, and an extremely reasonable price. I used to have my water delivered to my home, but realized it was more convenient for me to exchange at the location when I had empty bottles. Super friendly staff! But the main reason for my review is to give a special shout out to one of the employees there.... Jake. This kid is always so friendly and ALWAYS helps me carry my 5 gallon bottles out to my car, without being asked. It's employees like Jake that keep me coming back. Rare to find these days. read more

Extremely unreliable company. Consistently shows up without a pre-scheduled delivery or randomly, which seems to be in order to scam you and charge you for these empty bottle deposits - if the bottles are not out when they arrive - this is very specious. How can you know to put out the bottles for them if they are arriving randomly and with no prior notification or communication of an approved delivery date? We just canceled the service with them today after 3 months. We understand that the occasional issues can happen. However, The Water Man didn't follow through with any notification of delivery dates that we could pre-approve most of the time. We were charged numerous times for empty bottle deposits when they showed up randomly because no one told us they were coming and thus, we did not put out the bottles we already paid deposits on. They seem to be unable to use modern methods of communication; such as providing email e-notifications 24-48 hours before they are coming to drop off/pick up. But then they charge you for not putting the empty bottles out after having failed to tell you that they were coming in the first place! This very quickly more than quadruples the cost of the water and seems to be a great way for them to make an extra buck off you for not doing anything - except tricking you about unannounced delivery dates. This scam should likely be reported to BBB. No one could never rely on this service. When I asked the business owner why they do not use modern communication tools such as email and automated email notices (free to the business world) to notify when they are coming, she said they are too small a business and there is no ability for them to do effective scheduling or modern communications! We have seen businesses of just one with more effective communication abilities. There is no excuse for any business not to set up automated emails for customers notifying them in advance of the scheduled dates of drop off/pick up in modernity. This should be the case, especially if you are small business! This alone shows almost complete incompetence on the part of this business to be in business at all. Additionally, the bottles often arrived in filthy, covered in dirt and grease covered plastic. The bottles don't seem to be BPA-free. The trucks and delivery guys are not keeping the bottles out of sunlight or clean. They seem to be completely unconcerned about what is happening to the water during shipping while it is being exposed to various conditions that could cause the bottles to be leaching toxic chemicals into the water - not to mention be exposed to dust and road grease in transit. Also, they post nothing on their website that shows the before/after data in terms of chemicals/toxins removed the water either. I asked for more explanations of the science and technology they are using to purify the water and the owner could not explain except to say its reverse osmosis, which you can get anywhere now. For all we know they could be putting city tap water which is full of toxic chemicals in the bottles unless you are testing them! They are not providing any data or reports on this. Customers should demand this if they are going to overpay for pricey bottled water to be delivered and be mucking up the environment with their failure to use EV or hybrid vehicles to do delivery. Ultimately, we cannot recommend this company if you like on time and pre-approved delivery dates, don't like being charged for random bottle deposits constantly that amount in more than $50 per month in added charges, for nothing but emtpy bottles! Also there is no systematic/automatic date provided or any prior delivery e-notifications offered as would be provided by most every other business in the world in modern times! They really need to get up to speed and improve this service before it is usable. read more

The owner (Rosemary) was unhappy when we asked about residential delivery. She presented us with Grumpy Angry Face (GAF) when we for inquired whether delivery could lift a bottle for my elderly mother. Maybe we caught her at a bad time? But other reviews mention her being rude (so you be the judge). Anyway we showed ourselves out the door. Waterman will not be getting our return business. We own offices and residences here in Santa Fe. We like to work with people who appreciate us and our business. read more

The Waterman lost my business today. i have been a customer for many, many years. i reported a leaky bottle. Did not have to report it but thought they would want to know and I wanted to do the right thing. they blamed me and wanted to charge me $10 for the bottle, like it was my fault. This was bad customer service. I will not name names, but a Waterman employee was NOT totally honest with me today. That is inexcusable. That cinched it for me. I'm done with them. read more

I don't like writing bad reviews, but dang it, this company seems to have trouble with customer service. Used them for five years and there were issues with billing the entire time. It was their fault, but they charged me late fees and stopped service without contacting me. When I contacted them to figure it out they were rude and could care less about the thousands I spent with them over the years. Very inconsistent service. In the latest round of struggle with this business, as of today, they are a full week late with their delivery to my place of business. We are out of water. They state that they lost a driver and there's a high demand (it's summertime and we live in the desert, so no surprise there). However, we pay money as regular customers for a service and when we've called to inquire about the ETA for our water, we have been met with rudeness (like it's our fault for wanting service that we've paid for). No offer of compensation even when asked. Throwing in a free bottle just once for regular customers or offering a small credit to our account when the fault is on their end seems unreasonable to them. They refuse to admit any fault. I go here weekly to get my water bottles filled up. They have friendly service and the water is awesome. I never experience green in my water bottles when I use only their water in them. They also have the lowest prices in town for 3 gallon glass water bottles, which is what we use. read more

Have not delivered our water for weeks, and we've called at least four times about it, only to be told that we're "on the list" with the implication that they'll get around to it sometime. I currently get water from this company at both my business and at my home. My business is delivered on an "as needed" basis and the service has been good. The delivery at my home is completely inconsistent. The delivery day has been changed without notice several times. On one delivery, I had 3 empty bottles set out and only received 2 full bottles. Another delivery, I had 2 empty bottles set out and received 4 full bottles and I was charged for 2 deposits on the additional bottles that I did not order. I have also had to go to the store to fill my water bottles because I was missed on the delivery route.I have called at least 6 times attempting to get this straightened out. The response is that they are attempting to get things on track. Unfortunately, this has been going on for several months and I have not seen an improvement. read more
