The assistant plumber was left to excavate the floor and the lead plumber didn't return to the end of the day. (Our radiant heating pipes were damaged during their work.) We were then told that the business owner would need to approve the continuation of the project. Four days later Adrian called to say the remainder of the project would cost $2,600. We opted to finish the project with another local plumber who we could trust. Art's would not be responsible for repairing the radiant floor pipes they damaged because we opted to finish the job with another plumber. We wouldn't use Art's Plumbing again if they were the last plumber in Santa Fe.

He said he isn't responsible for this and would need to charge us another fee to get it working properly. Pretty rude. Also, what's with the service charge for houses within Santa Fe county? The woman at the office told me they charge $110 an hour, and then I was quoted $135 an hour by the worker the day they came to the house. I know nothing about plumbing, but figured that for the estimated amount of over $1,200, it would take them all day. But no. They were at my house for 20 minutes. I was away from the house, but spoke to them when they got there, and before they left. They had my husband sign for the work, as he was the one at home. My husband is disabled and is not able to understand situations like this. I spoke to them on the phone and told them that for 20 minutes I would not pay $1,200, I would pay them for an hour, plus travel costs. I was told that if I had "set it up as a per hour job, I would've been charged per hour, but I had asked for an estimate beforehand, so that's just the way it is". I would have never signed for this had I been the one there. I had quotes from two other plumbers who charged $90 and $100 an hour. I paid 10 times that much. This is an extremely unethical company.
