I found this place online and decided to give it a try. It's in a sketchy shopping center. The place is okay it's clean inside. The 5 gallon reverse osmosis cost $3 it's pretty good for the price. What I like the most is that if they are closed there is two water stations on the front of the store that you and access 24/7. I've had other places and this falls in the middle but has the best prices. read more

These 5 stars are not only for the quality of the water sold at this store, but also for their customer service. Today I overheard who I assume is the owner, help an elderly man that was in need without even thinking twice about it. Though I now live a couple towns over, I will still continue to travel here to buy my water based on that interaction alone. Not a bad location they just need to cleaned the front door and the front water covers. Would be nice if they sanitize after customers uses to turn on/off the water and same with there carts. read more

My only concern is the parking. They should implement their reserve parking at least 2 designated parking would be great. And monitor the parking because sometimes random car would just park there and go to different store read more

We drove 32 miles from Oakland to try out The Water Store and let me tell you...WORTH IT! The only water store in Oakland is well, kinda erm...ugh. Located inside a shopping center, next to the Post Office with ample parking to boot - kinda awesome when there're heavy water jugs involved. Five stars for cleanliness, well stocked shelves and the best part about our experience here was the gentleman behind the counter!!! He not only showed me how to clean our new 5 gallon jug (they are fully stocked with various jugs & bottles way cheaper than you'll find on both Amazon & Home Depot) but how to fill as well! The shop is SUPER clean, bright...they have carts you can use to take bottles to & from your vehicle! The gentleman was nice enough to roll the cart out AND loaded into our car! Thank goodness for this little gem -- we'll definitely be back for all of our reverse osmosis purified water needs!!! The 32-mile drive back was a happy one indeed...I only wish businesses in Oakland were this clean & staffed with folks who are customer service oriented like the gentleman at this awesome shop! This place was great! Nice family run place... seems like their life savings went into this new business so they are eager to make it succeed. And I think they are doing a good job! The water in Pittsburg tastes like chlorine (bad), but after being filtered, its good! They even have a special fountain to "clean" your water container: great! I really like the fact that they have a "rewards card" scheme where if you buy 10 five gallon water refills, you'll get the 11th free. That's nice. Also, I like the fact that they have carts which can be used to load up heavy water containers and wheel it to the car... Plus they have reserved parking spaces right in front of the store (GREAT!). What I really LOVE is that there's a water store now where I am guaranteed to always be able to get water since the damn coin operated ones close to "La superior" never worked, and when they did, they were "sold out" of water (what is that about!). Plus, they'd take your coins and not give them back! I hate those machines!! This place is slightly more expensive, but they ALWAYS work + have the benefits mentioned above, and their hours of operation are reasonable for "working people" like me to be able to get water (I get home at 7:30pm, and this place is still open).
