The restaurant is very nice. Lots of space, clean and a great view. The service is great. Everyone was friendly and our food was ordered and delivered perfectly. We had wine (I believe it was happy hour). Other people had cocktails that looked good. Next time I'll try one. They do have live music sometimes. A schedule list monthly upcoming events. We met friends here Win in town. They haven't been yet and it was close for both of us. So glad we did. Because we were with a couple that we hadn't seen in a long time I didn't take time to take pictures. But the two appetizers we got were the Conecuh sausage and the mahi bites. Not a fan...I won't leave less than 4 stars bc I don't believe in hurting a business, especially something locally owned. But dinner last night was less than stellar. Let me start by saying I've been to most of Panini Pete's other restaurants, my favorite by far is Sunset Point. I'm also a big fan of Squid Ink but this place...I dunno. The drinks were poorly crafted. The Margarita tasted like it was pre made mix poured from the bottle right into the glass and the bartender forgot the tequila...the mojito was no better. Way too sweet and tasted like it was made from steeped spearmint chewing gum. The most egregious disappoint was the market price lobster tail that was fried way too hard. I am a firm believer in never sending food back, but at market prices...back to the kitchen this lobster tail went! Other things like the food being relatively bland and served at the improper temps just blew my mind, and not in a good way. I hope they fall more in line with the beverage and food program at Sunset bc the restaurant is beautiful and I'd be happy to give it another shot. read more

Off the beaten path in Daphne, but definitely worth a visit. Standard Panini Pete fries (which are delicious) and selections unique to The Waterfront. I had the Snapper sandwich and Pigeon Pea Salad. We went on a Saturday evening at 6:30, the wait staff said that there was a 20 minute wait but it turned out to not be but just a couple of minutes. The menu is basically overpriced bar food. Fries were cold and a $14 hamburger was just Ok. Others in our group agreed. $22 for 8 shrimp in Mobile is too much. We picked up the tab for 6 of us and it was $250 (one round of drinks). What did stand out was the added 3% "administrative fee" that was slipped into the itemized receipt. What is that about? I've eaten here twice for lunch so far. The service is outstanding with lots of staff on hand. The food is excellent. The grouper sandwich features a huge piece of grouper that is grilled perfectly. All of the sides are fresh and flavorful. The views of Mobile Bay are amazing from the outside deck or even from most of the dining room. We can't wait to go for dinner and sit in the deck while the sun sets across the bay. read more

Wished they had a better local beer selection on draft, but did find something we liked in canned beer selection. Food... to be honest a little disappointed. Nothing out of ordinary. Food came out like 2-3 minutes after ordering... so couldn't help but wonder how freshly cooked either of our orders actually was??? I live in Lake Forest and we were excited to see this place reopened under Panini Pete. I came to celebrate my birthday and was not disappointed. The atmosphere was amazing and the menu full of exciting possibilities. The servers were kind and attentive. We started with the charcuterie plate and ended with shrimp tacos. Both were perfectly plated. The restaurant was full of people and all seemed to be enjoying the food and having a wonderful time. Met the chef and he was most hospitable. I was SO disappointed. I had the waterfront burger. The bacon was supposed to be crispy. NOT. The tomato was not ripe and very hard. Bun was soggy. My wife had waterfront salad with snapper. The snapper, not sure it was, was under cooked and tough. Had them take it back and bring another and it was fair at best. They told us wood take off the bill and didn't. Also, the hostess was rather rude about snapper "you want another snapper or not". Sorry Pete, just not what we expect from you. read more

A few of us met for lunch and everyone working at the restaurant was very friendly ! I had a Waterfront Salad with Grilled Shrimp. It was a huge serving and very delicious!
