First, I sat at the bar and the staff workers are AMAZING! Everyone was so sweet and attentive. Their kindness is contagious. The food was excellent and plenty of it. I ordered the shrimp tacos with grilled corn on the side. I could only hold one taco and part of the corn and I was fat, full, and happy. I don't like to give a poor review but this meal was so bad that I am hoping Pete can shake things up so that this venue will succeed! First the menu is basically bar food.. you can buy Maui at Walmart, the snapper sandwich was so tuff that it was uneditable .. my wife got a seafood cocktail that was served in an ice cream goblet with a brown Carmel looking sauce .. the presentation was horrible! Good food and casual chic atmosphere right on the water in Daphne. Daphne needs a new place to go (that isn't fast food!) and this place fits the bill. The menu has a variety where everyone can find something to eat. Not wanting to miss out on Pete's burgers-- we went with the Waterfront Burger. Very tasty- it has pimento cheese and bacon on it. Drink was $14 for a regular Absolute martini. Neither the Bar maid nor the waitress spoke to me which is very unusual in this neck of the woods. I'm not a restarateur and Pete certainly is, but I would think a more localized fare with a small downward adjustment in prices, and a friendlier wait staff might increase volume. read more

This gem was well worth the drive from the interstate! We had the fish bites and charbroiled cast iron skillet oysters for appetizers. The oysters on their bed of garlicy butter kale were one of the best bites I've ever had. We will be back just for that!! The rest of the meal was also really delicious even if it wasn't quite as epic. My kids loved the fish bites and gobbled them as soon as they cooled enough to eat. I had the award winning Sarah burger, my husband had the shrimp bowl, while the kids got the chicken and kids burger. It was all good. We ate early bird dinner time on a Saturday, and it wasn't overly crowded. Our server was very attentive & anticipated needs. Wish we would have had our jackets as the patio dining looked amazing right on the bay, but it was on the chilly side outside. Next time. Enjoyed the whole experience. read more

Not a fan...I won't leave less than 4 stars bc I don't believe in hurting a business, especially something locally owned. But dinner last night was less than stellar. Let me start by saying I've been to most of Panini Pete's other restaurants, my favorite by far is Sunset Point. I'm also a big fan of Squid Ink but this place...I dunno. The drinks were poorly crafted. The Margarita tasted like it was pre made mix poured from the bottle right into the glass and the bartender forgot the tequila...the mojito was no better. Way too sweet and tasted like it was made from steeped spearmint chewing gum. The most egregious disappoint was the market price lobster tail that was fried way too hard. I am a firm believer in never sending food back, but at market prices...back to the kitchen this lobster tail went! Other things like the food being relatively bland and served at the improper temps just blew my mind, and not in a good way. I hope they fall more in line with the beverage and food program at Sunset bc the restaurant is beautiful and I'd be happy to give it another shot. read more

We had wine (I believe it was happy hour). Other people had cocktails that looked good. Next time I'll try one. They do have live music sometimes. A schedule list monthly upcoming events. Off the beaten path in Daphne, but definitely worth a visit. Standard Panini Pete fries (which are delicious) and selections unique to The Waterfront. I had the Snapper sandwich and Pigeon Pea Salad. We went on a Saturday evening at 6:30, the wait staff said that there was a 20 minute wait but it turned out to not be but just a couple of minutes. The menu is basically overpriced bar food. Fries were cold and a $14 hamburger was just Ok. Others in our group agreed. $22 for 8 shrimp in Mobile is too much. We picked up the tab for 6 of us and it was $250 (one round of drinks). What did stand out was the added 3% "administrative fee" that was slipped into the itemized receipt. What is that about? Try Ed's Seafood (same owner) just a couple miles from there for a better meal. read more
