    Turkey club
    Karissa M.

The turkey club was very large but very good. Their cranberry aioli was unique and so delicious. I definitely only ate one half and was full. Their fries and fresh and cut thick. They tasted great too. The prices really weren't bad for the amount of food they give. The ambiance is fine. Nothing to rave about or particularly interesting. Either way, I'd certainly eat here again.

Came up for the weekend to ski in crotched mountain. We decided to stay in Peterborough and we are so glad we did! This restaurant is situated in the cutest little strip, there's a pub and a brewery nearby. We came for dinner on a Sunday night and seems like everything closes by 8pm, we had a 730 reservation which we kind of felt bad but the service was amazing! We did not feel rushed at all and our server was extremely accommodating. For appetizers we tried the soup and the fried zucchini which we were so hungry I didn't even get a picture! Everything was delicious, the soup which was mushroom and onions was actually very flavorful and creamy. I personally am not a fan of onions but this soup was amazing. For entres we got the wagyu steak which is served with Brussels sprouts or vegetables. I'm vegetarian but my hubby and my brother in law raved about the raspberry glaze over the steak. Literally they could not stop talking about how good of a compliment it was to the dish. The steaks were cooked perfectly medium. The eggplant was so good! It's served with a tomato and pesto sauce and I finished the entire dish in such a small amount of time. The Brussels sprouts were delicious of course, I think I really liked that they were crunchy and not overly saucy. Now the fried green tomatoes were delicious and crunchy, not overly oily. And they were served with an aioli sauce that was so good! I can't say enough about what a good experience we had at this restaurant. If you're in the area, I suggest you try it out!

    Crème brûlée

I ordered a coconut cake and a crème brûlée. The coconut cake was $14 for just a thin slice. And the crème brûlée was a tiny HALF cup for $11. I was incredibly disappointed with the size of the crème brûlée the flavor for the crème brûlée was good. But the coconut cake was pretty bland and dry. The frosting was too sweet in my opinion. The hostess was very quick and friendly.

This place has serious management issues. It's a shame because it has great atmosphere.

Reservations are encouraged since table seating is limited, but they have seating up at the bar. The main food preparation area by the chef is in the back corner of the dining room and another kitchen in the back. For food, they offer a selection of homemade dishes with local and European influence including a selection of starters, soups, salads, main entrees (chicken, flank steak, pasta dishes, seafood, vegetarian), and housemade desserts. They also offer specials and a list of wine, cocktails and mocktails. The prices are moderate here. After checking out the Halloween decorations along town streets, I stopped by 21B Bar & Grill on Main Street, which is not affiliated with 21 Bar & Grill in Keene. I did not have a reservation since this was a last minute decision to have dinner here and I took a seat up at the corner bar. I was given menus to look at and I got an ice water to start. I was going to order the Beef Wellington Puffs for an appetizer, but they sold out. I ordered the Blini ($13 plus tax) for an appetizer and the Pumpkin Fettuccine Alfredo ($19 plus tax) for an entrée (special dish). The Blini came out first which were three dark round smaller pancakes topped with smoked salmon and crème fraiche. This starter was pretty good, but it did not resemble the blini in their online picture which had 4 stacked small light colored pancakes and less salmon. The Pumpkin Alfredo with a slice of garlic toast was a good portion of firm cooked fettuccine noodles smothered with a thick creamy pumpkin alfredo sauce (orange color). 1 thoroughly enjoyed this entrée and decided to get dessert, which was a Pumpkin Tiramisu ($10 plus tax) which was a small piece layered with espresso soaked ladyfingers, cool creamy layers topped with whipped cream. The check was presented which was $43.96 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food had was very enjoyable and the staff seemed pleasant. They were asking customers where they were coming from including locals from Jaffrey & Peterborough, folks from across the MA border, and myself driving from Concord after work. I will very likely return back here for dinner again so I can try out their French Hunter's Chicken, which looked very appetizing and one of their most popular dishes.

I had the Peachy Chicken--chicken in a light sauce, jasmine rice, green beans, and piece de la resistance, the marinated peaches. I have no idea what those peaches were marinated in but they were super tasty! Boyfriend had brussel sprouts to start and then the steak frites. Steak seemed to be a little fatty but otherwise no complaints. Not very busy on the Saturday we went which is a shame because it's nice to have an option like this in Jaffrey.

We were there this past Thursday and I ordered their spinach, mushroom and chevre pizza. Not only was it lovely to look at, but it was very delicious. It was so delightful I ordered 3 on Sunday, half baked to take to a gathering on Monday. When I picked them up, I peeked inside a box. I was flabbergasted. It looked nothing like my Thu pizza. I looked at all 3, they were disappointing. They are small, individual size, no bubbly chevre, they are flat, little texture indicating yummyness. The Farm Table isn't always consistent so I shouldn't be surprised, but I truly am disappointed. I hope people at our gathering enjoy them. I am taking an herbed chevre to place on the pizza before warming. I pray all goes well.

Our server was friendly and pleasant throughout the meal. Unfortunately, the dining experience fell short in a few areas. We waited about 45 minutes for our food, even though our order was fairly simple--a salad with salmon and an omelet. When our silverware arrived, it was greasy and had to be sent back. The biggest disappointment was the salmon, which was significantly overcooked and very chewy. The salmon was okay once doused in dressing. The omelet was underwhelming. After tip brunch was around $70. Given the beautiful setting and friendly service, I had high expectations. I'm hoping this was just an off day, as the restaurant certainly has a lot of potential.

It was pretty quiet when we visited on Sunday, so we are looking forward to returning on a busier night to see how the service holds up when the restaurant is packed. The ambiance is very nice too. There was dinner music playing at a good volume, the tables were comfortable and spaced nicely apart, and there is a bar with plenty of seating. I also tried a couple of their mocktails, and just like the food, they were full of flavor.
