This was not just a casual appointment. I specifically scheduled it for the day before surgery because my doctor required me to have the waxing done beforehand. On top of that, it's a holiday weekend, and I drove an HOUR in holiday traffic to get here--only to arrive and find that no one showed up for my confirmed appointment. No phone call. No text. No cancellation. Nothing. If a business allows customers to book appointments online and then sends multiple confirmations, the customer should reasonably expect someone to actually be there. Now I've wasted two hours of driving, have surgery tomorrow, and am left scrambling at the last minute to find someone else who can accommodate me on a holiday weekend. Completely unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional. I would not recommend relying on this business for anything time-sensitive or important.

Unfortunately, later that evening we received an email stating we were no-shows and we were then charged $300 on our credit card. I called to speak to the owner on Monday. Instead of being, compassionate and kind she lectured me on how many visits I had to cancel in the past year. She agreed to the refund but inferred that I am not welcome back and also would not let-up on the cancellation history. We've been frequent guests at BVI over the years and even held our daughter's wedding shower there in 2024. It's disappointing that an experience at Luxe has now colored how I feel about the property as a whole, given how loyal we've been. Of the appointments I did need cancel for medical reasons (13 over the course of a year), my shortest notice was 9 days and longest was 108, averaging about 7 weeks. That's real time to fill those slots, not someone trying to hurt the business. Their cancellation policy states no less than 24 hours notice is required. I did well over that each time. I typically would book months in advance because securing the people I want and the dates/times I want is not easy if I wait too close to the dates/times I need. This causes me to have to adjust the appointments at times due to medical issues I was having at that time. I explained this to the owner, but she still was very aggressive and heartless.

I had also disliked how deep my tear troughs have always been. since i was little its like i looked like i had been working 16 hours a day! I did research though google and instagram and ended up loving Kelly's work. I DMed on IG asking some questions in which she answered thoughtfully. I felt comfortable going to her for my first visit. Scheduling was wonderful and easy. The front staff was wonderful, Maya was very kind! Upon first seeing Kelly she went through by medical hx in detail to make sure i had no contradicting conditions/meds that would interfere with what i wanted. She explained botox vs my severity of TMJ and her recommendations of how much she felt would be helpful on a first time visit. As well her suggestions on my underage filler to achieve the desired look I wanted. I had initially thought just filling the tear trough would improve my undereye (which it did) BUT, to get the look i ACTUALLY wanted she explained how medial cheek and mini cheek lift would get the look i pictured in my head. Like she read my mind! She understood my description perfectly and made it come to life. The process was painless. She used a numbing cream on injection sites. It was quick and over before I knew it. She asked how i was doing through the entire process. Educated me on post care and possibility of bruising or swelling. Fortunately for me i only had 1 teeny bruise under my eye at a injection site that went away in 2days. Its been over a week since my visit. In that time Kelly has reached out a few times to check on how I've been doing, and i really appreciate that. I feel its amazing personal attention/care and it honestly couldn't be beat! I couldn't be happier. Im still shocked how i didn't do this earlier. I work nights, 14 hours 3 days in a row and I look v tired after the week is over. I don't look tired anymore!! I look awake, and fresh. Glowy even. As for my TMJ, its too early to tell. Kelly said 6-8 weeks i should feel a difference. I love Kelly, she is knowledgeable, comforting, fun, understanding / helpful and gave me all the information and more that i needed. The facility is clean, and the people are inviting.
