This is not a salon experience. I had my brows waxed and at the end had to point out the hair that was missed. The receptionist booking the appointment told me my stylist was brand new but new and indifferent complete opposites. She did not remove my makeup before lash tinting. The tinting solution stung and to mitigate the string she rubbed and rubbed my eyes with wet makeup pads I have lots more on my gift certificate. I may try to cash in and go elsewhere. They are hard to book with, overpriced and don't care to provide a salon experience. read more

Went for a brow wax/shape. The employee was friendly enough. The reason for one star- deceitful business practice!! Do NOT trust this business. When presented with the prefilled tipping options, the employee stated "it starts at 20%". She made small talk so I was a bit distracted so choose the first option, believing it was 20% but after I had left I realized it actually started at 30% and went up from there!! I should have double checked but the employee LIED straight to my face and stole from me. Dishonest business. I do NOT recommend and will NOT ever return. read more

I just moved into the area and was looking for a new salon. I emailed the salon with a hairstyle I was considering and the owner responded very quickly. I made an appointment a few months later and the owner was my stylist. She spent a few hours with me and I appreciated her honesty and not just jumping to what I was looking for, but doing what was needed to get where I want for color. I have had several compliments on the results. I also appreciated the chat with her and the receptionist about other services and they took the time to chat and not rush you out the door. I booked a mani/pedi appointment (which I rarely treat myself) and the services were just as friendly and top notch. The technician took her time and paid specific attention to details. I used a groupon thankfully did not pay full price. I left the three stars because te experience while I was there was great. My toes are painted, look great and I am happy for that. However my finger nail varnish is chipping excessively on one hand. I remember the nail apprentice saying the polish was sticky, not sure if that had something to do with it. It has only been 6 days and I did try to call a day earlier but they are not open on Mondays. I have had many a manicure in my life time and never had it chip in under a week. Sad that this is the new standard. While I was very happy with her staff the day of, based off of this decision I will not return and unless you are going for just a pedicure I cannot recommend. read more

I found Green Envy Salon when I moved to the area last year and was on the hunt for a good pedicure without all the typical chemicals. I was hooked from the first appointment and I've been returning once a month for a pedicure with Christina and prenatal massage with Cheryl. It's a major treat for myself that I look forward to each month, the women are personable, helpful and provide a top quality experience. I even tacked on a facial and brow wax in preparation for my baby shower last month and everybody went above and beyond to treat me like a queen for the day, even providing lunch for my very pregnant self. The salon is always impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, I can't recommend Green Envy more highly! read more

I followed my stylist to Green Envy. The owner is rude and speaks to staff and customers in a very condescending manner. My stylist went to her car to get her flat iron and the stylist in the chair next to her immediately started complaining about her to the client she was working on and i was sitting in the chair next to them waiting for my color to process! The owner also had her grandchildren in that day running around the salon with practice mannequins, jumping up on chairs and running under my feet, and at one point, pulled my stylist away from me to french braid one of her grand daughter's hair. Not an experience you want to have when they charge you over 150.00 for a root retouch and color glaze. read more

I was disappointed that my rounded - tip French manicure chipped and cracked on the same day as them being done. They used oipi paint. My specialist took more time to clean my cuticles, but did not do a neat job in painting. My friends was done super fast- neat and clean painting however the owner never cleaned her cuticles. For an aveda salon, I was a bit surprised that the quality was not at standard. In the foot soak, my friend did not get soap and I had too many soap suds. The tub also drained out on my friend and had to be refilled. Still, no soap. They did provide tea, grapes and a packet of Cracker Barrel cheese. The paint job on the toes was well done. Again my specialist paid attention to cleaning the cuticles while the owner did not for my friend. I'm presuming that my specialist was not super skilled in French manicure. She was very personable and friendly. I would go back, but not for a French. read more

Got the gift certificate here for Valentine Day. I called and booked an appointment for a spa pedicure. I asked the girl on the phone that how long it gonna take to do it. She said it takes 60 minutes. When I come there, she's only do it for 30 minutes. And you know what? She didn't even wear a gloves while doing it, the pedicure chair has no liner on it, no tools bag and sanitizer. The color on my toes cheap within an hour because they have nothing to dry it. I am trying to find a go to place for "good" pedicures. I got a Groupon for Green Envy for a mani-pedi and made my appt. The salon is attactive shop on Main St in Nashua with on street parking. There were two ladies on staff dressing in upscale hip attire. They have two pedi stations. You have your choice of about 35 polish's to select from which is not many at all. I wanted a pink shade and there were only two to choose from. THE PHOTO OF THE NUMEROUS POLISHES IS NOT ACCUURATE. I DON'T KNOW WHEN THE PHOTO ABOVE WAS TAKEN BUT THERE ARE ONLY A FEW ON EACH OF THE TWO MANI STATIONS TO SELECT! It is very important to me that my cuticles be cut which is the main reason I go. Guess what? Sharon never touched the cuticles on neither feet or hands. I didn't feel comfortable asking her about it as the atmosphere of the shop is not what I call inviting and friendly. The other young lady did come across more warmly. The paint job was neat but I did not get what I call a "Spa Pedicure" including the limited massage aspect. I'm glad I did not pay full price as I'd really be upset. I can't speak about the hair styling but the mani/pedi service is severly limited and lacking. Bought a living social coupon for a shellac Mani and pedicure. Took a while to make an appointment but finally got one. Trendy little spot on main street with fashionably dressed workers. Atmosphere is a little uninviting despite beverages and snacks available. Wasn't the best pedi I had and the nail polish and shellac colors are few and far between. My shellac was the worst! A different lady had to do mine because my pedicurist didn't know how! The lady rushed through the whole procedure and did NO cuticle cutting!! The nail polish was smudged and lumpy. I had a groupon for a facial at this place and I'm really glad I tried it out. Tia was very professional, did an excellent AVEDA facial and then I asked if they had time to cut my hair. She fit me in even though she was really busy. I will go back for color soon because the Aveda Concept Salon color is the best out there and I have faith in this stylist. Don't bother with the spray tan. The first time I went I was so dark (orange) I had to loofah my face in two showers with soap for it to become even feasible to leave the house. I figured maybe one bad time - so I decided to give it another "go" since I really wanted a spray tan. I showered 24 hours later as instructed and there was NO (not even a little) tan. I called and had to explain myself to 3 different people 3 times that I was not tan. Eventually I got frustrated and just said "Ok, thanks...bye". So much for customer service. Had they nicely said "okay come in (insert whatever time worked for them)" they would've seen I was my original skin color and made it right. Instead my call just seemed to annoy them. I received a haircut from CAROL, this was my first visit, the review were great so i gave it a try I have very fine hair and i needed some added layers, she EXCEEDED my expectations, she explained to me every step and reason behind it, she actually cared and took that tome and i really appreciated it bc i was new, and her technique is advanced, l highly recommend her and will DEFINITELY be rebooking with her. I also had a massage that same day, I decided to treat myself, I had my massage with CHERYL, and again blown away, she used hot salt stones ( which i have never experienced) that radiated warmth and relaxation throughout my entire body, felt amazing on this cold winter day her pressure was perfect and she checked in W me perfectly,regarding pressure. My boyfriend originally stopped by the Green Envy Salon downtown Nashua to buy some of the Aveda products that I use, and I decided to see owner Sharon several weeks later for a haircut. The salon is nice and clean, and the staff is friendly. Sharon gave me a fairly nice haircut. The salon is quite expensive (it was $115 for a wash/cut, a small bottle of my shampoo/conditioner and tip). Their policy is for the receptionist (the owner's daughter) to verbally ask if you would like to add a tip. I feel it's unprofessional to put your clients on the spot. Also, I have always gone to a salon (out of state) that offers complimentary bang trims. I was slightly put off that I was asked to pay $10 for a bang trim the next time I stopped by, and again asked if I would like to add a tip. I ended up trimming my own hair again myself when I got home because my bangs were noticeably crooked when I asked for them to be cut straight across. read more

When I called the Nashua salon to book an appointment, I was told that the color is not a full color, but a touch-up or partial foils. I explained that I assumed color meant full color, but the stylist said if I wanted a full color, I needed to pay extra. She was unwilling to bend. I called Living Social and they said I wasn't the only person to complain. Needless to say, they lost a potential customer. The salon recently reissued the same coupon with the same title without any effort to clarify their definition of "color." read more

I went in for a haircut and asked the stylist to give me a cut based on the picture. She ended cutting off three extra inches. I was upset since she never double checked if that's exactly what I wanted. Plus she was absolutely uninterested in what I was saying the whole time. STAY AWAY!!! Went in with hair I've been growing out for over a year from a pixie cut. I asked for an Aline bob walked out looking like a Dilophosaurus. I'm missing ALL of the hair in the back. I used to be able to use an 1.5" curling iron wrapped almost 3x on the SHORTEST part now I can't even wrap it once!!! The front looks nice enough but every time I go to dry and feebly attempt to style the back I almost cry and I most certainly get mad as an old wet hen. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND CAROL!! She doesn't listen!! She took it upon herself to and I quote "I didn't want to give you an 80s haircut" she tried to argue with me that I wanted a pixie as well. I told her "my husband would like me in a pixie again but I want a bob" SHE DIDN'T listen so I've got this hot mess of long in the front short in the back crap. I don't even know what you call this other then a mess! I'd love to throw a tantrum scream and swear but this is as close as I can get. I did get $50 back but that didn't include the tip I left her. YES I tipped I always tip I feel the pressure to tip and usually I'll just ride out a bad cut or color but this this I cannot, thought maybe I could but it's so awful there's no way I can stay silent and be ok with this. read more
