    Baby shower lemon cake

Exceptional experience this Sunday for my daughter's baby shower in the Ford Room. Service was warm and detailed, all food was delicious, and the cake was extraordinary in looks and taste!! The onsite bakery uses grain milled on site at the grist mill and the muffins and scones were also moist and fresh! Highly recommend !!! The chef came out at the end to touch base with us!!

Valentines dinner at the Inn was spectacular. Upon being seated our waitress greeted us and brought a plate of crisp bread and a smooth tasty cheese spread as well as 2 wonderful warm rolls with icing on top. Drink orders placed and comes out promptly with warm pumpkin and cornbread muffins. A harvest salad was great with a nice mix of romaine lettuce, roasted & cubed butternut squash, dried cranberries and crumbled Feta cheese. Our dinners where two of there house specialties, huge portion of Scrod, cooked perfectly with delmonico potatoes and whipped butternut squash. I went with a prime rib (pictured) end cut that was incredible with mashed and squash. Overall a high 5 stars.

Accommodations, dinner in the dining room, and drinks, both in the dining room and later in the tavern, were all above and beyond expectations. Maureen at the front desk upon arrival was the sweetest and so wonderful with information about the area and the property. Our waitress, Sam, was fastidious about making sure we had everything we needed at night. The bartender, Dave, was a fantastic conversationalist and knew much about the tavern's and property's history. It was a wonderful birth-month celebration. Thank you so much for everything.

We spent a night here in room 9 on our way back from a week long trip in New England. It is a charming inn steeped in history. Kip was very helpful and knowledgeable about the inn and it's history. Ask him to tell you about the inn's development, growth and it's past history. Our room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the guest to guest notes and definitely would return. A spectacular hot delicious breakfast was served before we started our travels. I wish we had more time to explore the notable grounds and property, which is meticulously taken care of. You can tell everyone who works here loves the place, thank you for the kind hospitality.

My sister and I went for lunch as this restaurant was always a favorite of our mom's. classy with cloth table cloths and napkins, china, quality service and delicious food. Our experience today was just as fine. We ate in the large dining room. there were several other older couples and families there when we arrived and more arrived afterward. There was a fire in the fireplace and a lovely holiday tree. We ordered from the three course dinners. Our server Nancy was delightful - warm and attentive. She brought us a carafe of piping hot fresh coffee and rolls. The rolls at Wayside are a treat in and of themselves as the grain comes from the grist mill down the street. the basket includes whole wheat rolls and sweet corn muffins. we started our meal with a cup of tasty chowder, followed by a prime rib dinner. The prime rib was excellent and was accompanied by a judiciously salted baked potato. My sister opted for mashed butternut squash, a favorite of mom's and I chose green beans. when it came time for dessert, we opted for ice cream but you could also have chosen apple pie a la mode or indian pudding (an Inn specialty) accompanied by a dollop of ice cream. I chose peppermint stick ( my seasonal favorite) and my sister chose vanilla topped with fudge sauce. I cannot recommend the Wayside Inn highly enough for a holiday treat or a special event.

I do wonder how Marriott marketing tries to differentiate this suite brand from their Residence Inns which I prefer...? This location is very tricky to get to since it is on a road that is basically a 60mph street with no turn/exit lanes. If coming from the west good luck accessing the place. Also leaving the parking lot onto this highway is a danger especially with Boston drivers! At check-in the one clerk was totally consumed with a customer dealing with some non-check -in issue. Finally after waiting 10 minutes she decided to divert her attention and check me in. When I asked about a room upgrade as an elite member she mumbled something about them being booked up but it was clear from the parking lot that this place was pretty empty. This was the fourth Marriott property we stayed at on this trip and the least friendly front desk. The room was fine especially since it is a newer property though we did report an issue with the shower door automatically opening while showering causing a mini flood. Also the bathroom was tiny. The free breakfast was by far the skimpiest we have encountered at any Marriott property that provides a breakfast. It was surprising how limited the choices were. Also this breakfsst was shared with the Fairfield Inn which is in the same building (the Sheraton also in the same building does not offer free breakfast but I am not sure what stops there guests from eating here.) Overall a pretty mediocre experience.

The two suite hotels share a common lobby and registration desk, and a walkway takes you into the big Sheraton with its restaurants and conference center. So, make sure you know who you made a reservation with! The TownePlace Suites is new. Our room was magnificent, the guest room was large, the fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed (including a fridge), we had a coffee maker, a work desk, a flatscreen TV, and the shower's water pressure was the most powerful I've experienced in quite a while. The hotel WIFI was easy to access and worked flawlessly. The complimentary breakfast was very good -cereals, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, yogurt, etc. Pretty much all of the essentials. The only sour note of our stay was our checkout experience. Not a lot of friendliness or warmth there, just a perfunctory "you're all set" while barely looking up from her phone.

I also worked at the front desk of a hotel for two years while I attended Wellesley College and after that I worked as a paralegal at prominent firms in Boston before starting my business. I *deeply* understand customer service, professionalism, and the weight of negative Yelp reviews which is why I have quite literally never written one. I originally wrote a negative review (and it was the first negative review I have ever written on Yelp) because I had a negative experience with one of the front desk agents at first. But one of the things I also understand working in customer service is that if you give a business the feedback they need to make changes and to "make things right" and they are receptive to that feedback, a business should not be judged because of a one off experience. I was able to communicate my issues and I am updating my review to reflect that the hotel handled my feedback professionally and for that I am very grateful.

It feels lively, stylish, and upbeat while still being relaxed and comfortable. The music, lighting, and overall atmosphere instantly put you in a good mood. I got one of the newly renovated rooms which was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The bed was great and I slept really well. The gym is simple but completely serviceable. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is also excellent. It is very easy to access from the freeway and it is close to great food, shopping, and anything else you might need. The breakfast room was otherwise full with all the staples - eggs, cheese, coffee, etc. Except cold water. The room was very clean - I stayed in a long, and although the bed was a little high, was pretty comfortable. I prefer a firmer mattress. There was a couch and table for dinner, and the TV had a reasonable amount of cable channel. There was also a coffee machine in room. Bathroom was also clean with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
