(Parking in the tower is $3 with an appointment.) On the date of my appointment, the receptionists were kind and caring. The neurology floor lobby is freshly updated, modern, spacious, and clean. The nurse and neurologist spent an adequate amount of time with me to truly hear my concerns before developing a plan. So far, I am impressed with MUSC's neurology.

My personal experience with the Nurse Practitioner, Katie Smith, was positive but I cannot say the same for many on her staff. Instead of keeping me up to date and informed in a timely on my tests results, along with, providing accurate information, weeks would go by without a returned phone call. When I could get someone on the phone they were more often than not, unapologetic and rude. My requests for basic info re: my care went unanswered for weeks on end - not a returned phone call or email. Imagine being unable to reach anyone at your physicians office when you are in pain and need medication or would like test results and you are told "someone will get back to you" and, yet, no one does. I was warned that MUSC Neurology was difficult to deal with - I wish I had listened - It would have saved me alot of stress. Bottom line: I felt unimportant and that I was a bother --my needs were not a priority.

This place is great. They can usually get you in same day. All of the providers we have seen have…read moretaken the time to actually hear out our concerns and are personable. They have some medicine on site so you may not even have to run to the pharmacy afterwards if you get prescribed something. The place itself is clean (a huge plus). They don't take insurance up front so you do have to pay out of pocket but they can bill your insurance afterwards and you may be able to get reimbursed. Parking is behind the building.

It was extremely relaxing and comforting, they have tvs so you can watch and enjoy your time and relax when receiving your IV therapy. It was great. You can literally text a number to schedule an appointment, how easy is that?? The office staff was so nice and went over all of the different options which they have a ton of different options from weight loss to immunity boost to just an IV bag. His girlfriend could hardly walk because she was so sick. They went above and beyond to take care of her and deal with our anxiety of worrying about his girlfriend and finding our way there. They don't deal with insurance because they are a small practice, but give you everything you need to file with your insurance company. I was actually shocked that the bill was only $300! We saved hours by not going to the emergency room, got better treatment and just felt very grateful to find this place.

A relief because I didn't want to go to urgent care if I could help it. We got there and check in was entirely on my phone and I should've done it ahead of time but was able to do it in the office fairly quickly. The nurse practitioner was very kind and gave me some time to make a few calls as I decided the best course of action. We ended up taking her orders for an X-ray and had those done and thankfully the results were sent back to her and she called me immediately letting me know he didn't have anything too serious. I hope I won't need to go back for urgent medical reasons but I'm very glad to know they are nearby if I do need them! It's also great that they have a parking lot.

Although I have to drive an hour and a half to see him, it is worth it. Not only did I connect with him on a healthcare level but I feel like I connect with him on a personal level as he is young. He is kind, compassionate and ALWAYS helps me out. I know we don't meet people by accident. So blessed to know Mcnulty and for him to be my provider.

It actually is a good thing to be able to assess a situation from both sides. I hope none of you ever need a transplant, but if you do, we are here for you. Have your family doctor make a referral on-line, by phone or by fax. This building is only office space, so you most likely will never actually see the inside of it unless you decide you need a job. Our outpatient clinics are in the Rutledge Tower and the Ashley River Tower, depending on the specific organ. The Blood and Marrow transplant program is run under the Hollings umbrella now and is no longer part of our centre. We can however provide some insight if necessary and have quite a few contacts over there to get you started. We currently provide all solid organ transplants on adults and pediatric patients. We have dedicated Social Workers and Financial Coordinators to help guide you through the process. You will also be assigned to a team of nurses and program assistants who will monitor your health and provide updates as to your status towards a transplant. We do have a small parking lot in front of our building in case you just need to drop off some paperwork, but there is also the Rutledge-Ashley garage next door. You can get your parking ticket validated through the clinic, or you might want to try the valet service for a flat fee. Again, if ever you need us, we are here, but I'm honestly hoping that I don't need to see you anytime soon. Take Care!

In response to a change in health insurance provider, I am in need of a new endocrinologist. The…read moreinsurance carrier gave me the names of three, in-network doctors accepting new patients within a 15-mile radius, and two of them happened to be Roper St Francis physicians. Specifically at the 2060 Sam Rittenburg location in Charleston. I called to make an appointment but was told I need a referral. I thought that was interesting because my insurance carrier does NOT require a referral, but I complied by having my records faxed to both doctors' attention at the fax number that was provided. I confirmed that the fax was successfully sent on 1/28/2025 at 12:13pm. The Roper St Francis admin told me on the phone that I would be contacted within 72 hours following receipt of the records to schedule an appointment. I called Roper back on 1/31 and shared I had confirmation of my records being faxed...just wanted to confirm that they had what they needed so I could get an appointment. Was put on hold. Admin came back and told me she had left a message for the "scheduler," and I should expect to hear back in (another) 72 hours. I expressed frustration at this, because now we are talking 144 hours and I am low on insulin and am out of Dexcoms. Well, she "left a message." And here we are on February 3rd, 2024. Do you think anyone from Roper has called me? Nope.

We went to…read moreSummerville ER and after x-rays and consultation they immediately had us transfer to Shawn Jenkins to reset the bones and put a cast on. From top to bottom - intake, nurses, doctors, etc. - the experience was amazing. I didn't catch everyone's names, but The Kenzies and Dr. Roth are two I remember. There was minimal paperwork (likely due to the transfer), everything was well-explained, including the risks and possible side effects of the medications he received, and very little waiting. Literally my only complaint is that the 7th floor vending machines don't work right and do I even CARE when my kid got such good attention? I am so grateful to everyone here that my boy is OK and I feel confident that they gave him the best possible treatment. J.Ja
