Our first time staying here for the annual Sweet Potato Queens weekend (actually a loooong weekend - Wednesday through Monday) and it was perfect. Rooms were clean and spacious, the facility was decorated beautifully, staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We will be back next year!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! I stayed here while on task force and I must say, I have absolutely no complaints about this place! Very clean and presentable. The aesthetic of the lobby makes for a beautiful entrance! The artwork that sits within the halls, the lobby, and the restaurant/bar is incredible! This hotel sits between multiple courthouses and a police precinct, making me feel very safe outside and around the hotel. The staff were amazing! I first met Andrea upon check-in, she greeted me with a warm welcome and got me situated in every aspect, along with Sorethina whom too was kind and informative as well. The entire front desk team took very well care of me. Aevisha, Danyel, and Michael greeted me every morning with a "good morning", a smile, and great energy. Ms. Dean and Olivia were both so very kind and joyful overnight. Housekeeping was to perfection. They came every single day and accommodated for all of my needs as requested. The valet team was awesome. Jalyn and Micah are great at their services, as was the rest of the valet team. Very respectful and composed. Thank you Westin Jackson for the experience. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the downtown area.

Staff are wonderful here, from the valet that greet you at the entrance to the staff in the restaurant. The restaurant food is delicious. Can't wait to return.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. It looks like it has been updated. Check in staff and housekeeping were great. Food was okay. Artwork throughout was very different and eclectic, but cool. The drawbacks for me were - when I arrived, I was getting out of the car and the bellmen didn't move to help with my luggage. Also all the pillows are were super soft - hardly any filling in them.

Covered (only half is actually covered) is small and cramped when there's a crowd.

Watch your bank account closely after checking out. Hotel adds bogus charges to your credit card DAYS after you've left. I did not touch or eat anything from the refreshment center/mini bar. However I was charged almost $10 the next day for "some thing from refreshment center." They didn't know what. They did remove it after a few days. Then a full seven days after I checked out, an almost $4 dollar charge popped up. I called and they said it was for Altoids. I told them I didn't know what they were talking about. I didn't even see any Altoids. They said they would remove it. They haven't yet. Several in our group were charged for things after they left that they did not use. One was charged $30 for gummy bears. Totally bogus. Stay here at your own risk!

The staff is wonderful. They are always willing to answer questions and go above and beyond. The hotel has a homey feel. They have their Christmas decorations up inside and they are gorgeous. You cannot beat the food in the restaurant. I have never had anything that was not delicious. My room had a rain head shower head with a detachable wand and a refrigerator. The bed was delightful. The only complaint I have is that the pillows were all too soft. I put my head on two I had stacked and my head was immediately on the mattress. I wish they had different thickness levels. I walked into the room and squealed because you can buy snack items and an Elvis rubber duck with the hotel name and city on it! The gym is on point too. Awesome Life Fitness treadmill allows you to choose a trail (I chose locations in Ireland) and it shows other people running on the trail with you from around the world and where you are in relation to them. The area around the hotel is a bit rough so I have not ever ventured out but as I am typically not here long and only for work that is not a huge deal for me.

    Famous guitars in the lobby.

Just saw the lobby, bar and restaurant but looks very swanky. Had to pick up a world rebound rapper that we were doing a documentary on there as that's where he chose to say when he was in town for a concert. If it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me. Would defining choose this place the next time I stay in Jackson. Every employee that I had an interaction with there treated me like a VIP!

New hotel, clean, convenient and nice staff. Stayed in. a King Corner Suite on the 3rd floor without any view but very quiet as well as a large bedroom and bathroom. I grabbed a Cocktail in Estelle's before heading up to the room and it was a good Old Fashioned which was a little pricey but good. Large TV with a game in made for a pleasant 15 minutes. They also have a Concierage Room on floor 10 open 24 hrs. Nice touch. Had some waters, sodas and chips available with some apples. Nice place to stay!

Why is the water not clear. GROSS!!!!!

I am here on work. This place is beautiful and in a great spot. The room was nice and big. The pool was also great. One issue and a big issue for me. There was stuff floating in the water reservoir inside the coffee pot. Totally gross. There was a floaty just over a 1/4 inch. I make a big deal about this because I enjoy my Coffee. If my room has a coffee pot, I expect to have access to fresh coffee. This is a high end hotel, I expect everything to be great.

Exposed electrical outlet. Huge safety issue.

Does anyone have a photo of the bathroom in the executive suite?

I could only imagine it's nice since the regular room bathroom was nice. I know this doesn't help but I figured I would put it out there. Good luck.

To be fair, Jackson, MS wasn't my destination, it's simply a great midpoint for me to rest when I'm road trippin' between Dallas and Atlanta. The Good: The hotel is relatively new and It's conveniently located near the University of Mississippi Medical Center and VA hospital. A few restaurants are within walking distance, which is a plus. It's also pet-friendly, which is fabulous since my fur babies love a good road trip. Also, the staff is really nice (shoutout to Francine!) The not-so-Good: There's an appearance of clean in the rooms, but not really. On my last stay, I was greeted by couch stains, rusty shower, and some leftover "mystery gunk" in the kitchen sink. It's the second time the TV didn't work, and the fourth time my digital key failed. The entire fridge moved around the kitchen whenever I opened it, LOL. Also, the lobby can get quite loud, since it occasionally turns into a hangout spot for large groups. Know before you go that the surrounding area can feel a bit mixed and while I've never felt unsafe, staying aware is a must. Pet owners, take note: The designated dog areas can get very messy since not everyone picks up after their pets and the hotel doesn't seem to maintain these areas well. If want your pup's paws clean, you'll need to find another spot for walks. Bottom line: When the price is right, this a decent option for an overnight stay. Just know there are some "quirks", and plan accordingly. Happy Stays!

Wish we could have seen them in bloom. 5. Can order nicely prepared meals to room or eat in library lounge - breakfast or dinner. Def an old southern feel to the place. Cons: 1. Parking was tight and hard to to manuever but they did have a cart available for rooms that are further away - partially broken. 2. In downtown area, kind of dingy and run down - but somewhat charming w many old craftsman homes around. 3. Could have used some hanging baskets and annuals for more color and charm - would help brighten the mood of the run down area of town - 4. And wish theyd answer the phones. We left messages almost everytime we called (they were good about calling back). This leaves one feeling disconnected from a warm hospitable experience.

We were told the service staff walked out and they didn't have rooms available. We did book with a third party vendor, which was very accommodating and found us a place to stay. It was not my choice but it did the job. There was no backup plan at the Hilton. Since there was no staff available, the rooms that were occupied had to write their name on a list to get fresh towels, toiletries and etc.... There was a black American young lady with red hair that was remained calm, posed, attentive and professional as the crowd grew with disappointment. She was very helpful. She answered the phone while the others ignored them. Thats how we were able to get moved. Crazy part, it was her second day and she ead still in training. What an experience for her. Hopefully, they retain her and she don't walk out like the rest of the staff. Did I mention that there were a bus load of high school students that they had to find rooms for. So sad. They should have notified guest in advance that this occurred so guest could have made adjustments before arriving to the hotel. The outside and inside were clean and look decent. There is no free parking. Only valet for $24 per night.

The staff I will say are great and try to help with what they can. The first room I checked into was so hot and filthy, I had to request a room change. Not sure why I was given a handy accessible room with a broken faucet, dirty floors and dirty walls. I know it's been hot lately (78F) but the AC units don't seem to keep up in this building at all. The temps in the rooms barely budge lower and sometimes even creep up! Also power seems to be unreliable as it goes out at least once a day! Building looks a little neglected with lots of hallway lightbulbs not working, and just small issues like paint and cracks on doors. At first glance everything will look fine until you start looking more closely. Breakfast is just your usual complimentary fare of eggs and bacon, bagels, yogurt, juice and coffee. You can make yourself some mini waffles with syrup if that's your preference. I did enjoy the coffee very much. Couldn't access the pool as the room cards don't seem to unlock the gate and staff don't really know why. Wifi is also very spotty at this location as I regularly get disconnected for 30-60 minutes at a time. No water is provided so you'll have to get your own. Showers are nice and large with nice smelling soaps. Unfortunately, no moisturizing lotions but Jackson is fairly humid so you might not need. Beds are large and comfortable with those terrible hotel pillows. It's kind of your no frills residential hotels for a decent price.

Unfortunately, my recent experience with this property and Marriott's customer service process left me with little choice. To be clear, the hotel itself is perfectly acceptable. My family has stayed here multiple times. The property is clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located. My concern is not with the facility itself, but with the complete lack of communication and customer service from hotel management and Marriott's corporate support system. After an issue with our stay, I spent more than a month attempting to contact the hotel manager, Kimberly Jones, to discuss the situation. I called the hotel on three separate occasions and was informed each time that she did not have a voicemail set up. I was advised to contact her by email, which I did on three separate occasions. None of my emails received a response or even an acknowledgment. After weeks of trying to reach someone who could assist, I was informed by Marriott that our request had been denied by the hotel manager--the same manager who never responded to any of my attempts to communicate. Whether the decision itself was right or wrong, the absence of any direct communication or explanation was disappointing and unprofessional. For full transparency, our situation involved circumstances in which we were not entirely without fault. I understand that policies exist for a reason, and I recognize that businesses cannot accommodate every request. However, customer service often requires evaluating situations individually, and exceptions are made every day when circumstances warrant them. I genuinely believe our situation deserved thoughtful consideration and, at the very least, a response. Equally frustrating was my experience with Marriott's corporate customer service. Rather than helping resolve the issue, I was repeatedly redirected to different phone numbers, email addresses, and departments without receiving meaningful assistance or accountability. What troubles me most is not necessarily the final decision, but the process. Customers should not have to spend weeks attempting to reach a manager only to receive no response whatsoever. Respectful communication is a basic expectation, especially when a customer is making a good-faith effort to resolve a concern. As a result of this experience, my confidence in Marriott's commitment to customer service has been significantly diminished. We will certainly not visit this hotel again and don't intend to stay at any Marriott property moving forward. I hope this review encourages both hotel management and Marriott corporate leadership to take a closer look at how customer concerns are handled. It will be interesting to see whether a public review receives the response that repeated private communications did not. Summary of our situation: Our reservation was for Saturday night. Because there was a possibility that the athletic event we were attending would be canceled due to weather, with a final decision not expected until Saturday morning, we canceled our reservation through the app at 11:15 p.m. on Friday, believing we were doing the responsible thing if the event did not take place. Once the event was confirmed, we rebooked the same hotel the next morning--approximately eight hours later--and stayed there as originally planned. Unfortunately, we did not realize the cancellation policy required 48 hours' notice rather than 24 hours. I requested a one-time exception since we ultimately stayed at the hotel and paid for the room that night - not an unreasonbale request. However, Ms. Jones apparenlty denied the request, resulting in us being charged for two nights when we only stayed one. As repeat customers, I expected at least the courtesy of a return communication. The fact that the one person who could address the issue chose not to respond speaks volumes about the level of customer service we received.
