I can't rate the place for drinks or food, because we couldn't get the bartenders attention. Busy Friday night and man was this place playing music at full volume. Why? Lots of smoke like everyone else said, so no surprise. The surprise is how the hell does the enclosed area of the bar allow cigarette smoking in this county that prohibits that? I can see smokers enjoying the outdoor areas, but nobody and nothing was going on outside at all. Friday night and no band? I haven't been in here since it was Memory Lane, and didn't frequent that, but decided I would check it out. It is a decent place compared to my memory from years past. I will say that non-Regulars don't get served without gaining their attention and asking for another beverage on every occurrence! She would socialize with a Regular with her back to the bar and would occasionally walk to a second group of regulars to restock them. I waited twice to get her attention for a refill, of about five minutes per instance. She was aware that she wasn't doing well, it seemed anyway, when I last told her "I will take one more than just bring me my tab!". Then she started getting friendly. Incredibly disappointing experience at this establishment- which is such a shame considering the potential. Location is great, pool tables and darts, classic old school dive bar vibes. Love that. Unfortunately, that's where the "good" ends. Prepare to be overcharged tremendously, fought when asked for an itemized receipt, then FINALLY after having to cause quite an embarrassing scene (due to the staffs yelling - NOT your own) was given a "properly adjusted" receipt that was almost $35 LESS than the original due to "a mistake." A $35 mistake?! No way. Unless you want to be wildly overcharged and then have to fight for your proper bill- stay away! Not to mention the pregnant bartender smoking her "dab pen" behind the bar, bragging about "how high" it gets her, then also subtly calling other patrons racist slurs quietly with I assume her "regulars" in the corner. So a lot of people recommend this place to us because it was fun. However, we walked in there and were unable to breathe. The smoke was so heavy we had to leave. It was so unfortunate cause I love the spot but it was so smoky so I guess it gets better ratings for people who smoke but for people who do not smoke, I would not recommend it at all. read more

My new favorite dive bar on the Space Coast. Great bartender, Annie Cash. She is VIGILANT and nice. She kinda low key checked that I wasn't already too drunk to drink more. Knew I had arrived in an Uber. Kept an eye on the people leaving. She seems too young to be a mom-type but she obviously really cares about the bar and the customers. And how can you ever find a bar with a better name?? If you go to this bar, be glad it's close. If you don't go, dammit start going. If you're not from here, visit. I'll be back for sure. AAAAAAAAHHHH!!! Get me outa here!! I and two friends went here one night on a whim. We were driving and thirsty and needed to kill some time, so we decided to stop at the first bar we saw. This was it. We walk in and I swear, it was like one of those scenes in a movie where time stops. The jukebox screeched to a halt (not really), pool games stopped, leaving clouds of chalk dust and spinning cues. And red eyes gleamed as everyone turned to the door to see whom had just entered their realm. Perhaps this was the first time 3 rather good looking, young, college educated, anti-Nascar, fully toothed, non-inbred gentlemen, had ever graced their "establishment" with their presence. And hopefully the last. After the crowd adjusted to the increase in gross IQ, they resumed their activities. We approached the bar and I went ahead and ordered for all of us to speed the process along. "3 PBR's" I said to the not-as-unattractive-as-you-might-think bartender. After the sneer and questioning look she returned with them. **Sidebar**; I personally love PBR and think it is the most underappreciated adult beverage (next to Zima of course) there is. I also choose, not settle to drink it. In NYC its funny how trendy and often overpriced it is. However, in FL Ive found that it is apparently not so popular and often snickered at by those who drink it, for lack of taste (of the person, not the beer) as well as lack of funds. So, we pop open our cans and toast to having no more or less chromosomes than one should have. Then a passerby asks us if we're "A coupla queers or sum'n?", too which I chuckle and reply "No. Why?" Apperently PBR is only for penis owners who enjoy other penises. News to me. After Homophoby McNazi departed us, I went to use the mens room (hoping for a peak, Im sure he assumed). When I came back my friends were not at our previous location. After checking the pool tables and surrounding vicinity, I assumed they high-tailed it. So I grabbed my barely touched beverage (waste not want not) and followed suit. When I got back to car I was updated on the recent events that I had missed, whilst Larry Craig'ing. Apparently some other auburn-necked fellow asked about our choice of beer and sexual preference. I guess he didnt like the reply he received, because his response was to pull out his concealed knife he was carrying and brandish it in front of their faces. I guess that was the straw that broke camels back, cuz they were out. Now I dont want to come off sounding all "high-falutin", because I come from a farming family in the country. So I know and understand country (im fluent in Hillbilly), but this was C-O-U-N-T-R-Y, like back woods country, but in a beach town. I dont know, go figure. Very nice as far as 'dive bars' go. The baristas were a bit ditzy - after my gal ordered a drink, the girl who took her order disappeared for 20 minutes and came back chewing on a chicken wing that her daughter had prepared in the kitchen. After making small talk with us, my companion had to remind her that she'd ordered a drink 20 minutes before and was still waiting for it. We met 'Billy Ray from Palm Bay' and he was a trip. Drinks were strong, for some reason all the HDTVs were turned off so no basketball viewing for us. Overall, very cheap visit, and we'll do it again if we're in the area. Billy Ray only mildly hit on my female companion and backed off once I told him she was carrying my baby (she wasn't, but hey it was fun to see his reaction). read more

Please do not listen to the other reviews. They are either very exaggerated or completely wrong. I have been going to The Wet Spot for a few nights a week for years now. This is a bar that is mostly locals and just like Cheer's "everyone knows your name" but I guarantee everyone there is friendly and will not make you feel uncomfortable. The bartenders are all great girls, most have been working there for years. They have their moments of being a little crazy but nothing like what that gentleman was saying. If you are looking for loud obnoxious pop music, half naked girls and beachy looking meat heads, and over priced frilly drinks, this is not the bar for you. The crowd is generally older, many bikers, the music is anything from country to metal to rap to punk. The drinks are always strong and very reasonable priced. Pool tables are well maintained and free from 11pm-1am every day, Saturdays it is only a quarter. So please don't judge a book by its cover or listen to what uppity, "I think I'm better than everyone else" people say, stop in and have a drink or two. read more

Most of the time the live music is great but the people are honest down to earth jolly and just out to have the greatest time of thier lives. ive been to wet spot a couple times since i moved here less than a month ago...somehow i just seem to magically apear there...yeah when u walk in the door you are usually greeted by some ruff lookin leather wearin country folk...but give it a minue..order a beer..and yes it takes a lillte bit longer to get one when he bartenders are drunk...and take a look around...what youll actually see i a bunch of regular people who are out havin a great time with thier friends..just like it should be.las nite was a great band some good dancing little bit of arm wrestling in the corner and alot of toothless smiles..but was f ing fun!and im a lesbian btw and everyone loved me the same :)hell i came home with 2 phone numbers..and yes these girls had all thier teeth...the place is great dont be scared..aint nobody gonna get ya read more
