Okay this place is the definition of a dive bar but it doesn't change how much I love it. I am in town maybe one weekend every other and every time I am in town I make it a point to stop by the Oasis Lounge. I have played games, sung Christmas karaoke, taken a Thanksgiving shot, bought some art, and even eaten homemade cookies from the bartenders at the Oasis and enjoyed every minute! The Oasis does truly feel like a small little family and though I am not a local they have always welcomed me in. The drinks are always good and they are offered at a good price. I like that they are normally open even sometimes on holidays so my husband and I have a place to go when we need to escape my in laws. Writing this review makes me want to be back at the Oasis, sitting at the bar ordering a round. I will absolutely be back next time I am in town! read more

April 30th, 2023. I went in with my Guide Dog- yes a certified dog for the blind, and was told to leave. The Manager doesn't like dogs are NO dogs are allowed in the Oasis. I had a card from SEGD certifying my dog is a REAL dog for the blind, but the Oasis will not let Guide Dogs or any other dog in. I was told to leave. Even though they are award this is illegal, I told them so, and violates ADA rulings. Oasis thinks they are above the law. Spend your money elsewhere! read more

Bartender is super rude I will never be back here old lady ruins the atmosphere very upset about my experience

This isn't a bar -- it's home. The first time we walked in we were greeted with smiles by both staff and patrons. Updated to add: After bringing public attention to the matter and a meeting with the owner, Jill was fired. The owner has put up a sign at the front door and on the Oasis Lounge Facebook page condemning any type of discrimination. I appreciate the resolution and I am so pleased that my community has been so supportive in making sure that prejudice is not tolerated. I am hoping this will encourage others whom are standing by while injustice is taking place to speak out - we need upstanders, not bystanders. Silence is complicity. read more

You bring any size mug on Wed. night and they fill it for $2. Do I need to say any more? Well I will - this was my 3rd time and we met up w/ friends who were having a b-day. It was understandably busy, but getting your drinks doesn't take long. The piece de resistance? PING PONG!!!!! But get there early cuz some of these guys take it seriously. They've also got pool tables & of course a juke box. It's a block from the beach so if you get saucy & frisky you can always make out on the sand. Please do not patronize this establishment. Their bartender, Jill, denied service to a lovely young African-American obstetrician I know based solely on the color of her skin. Oasis Lounge - Dive Bars Near Me - Melbourne Beach, Florida

I had a group of local friends looking for a new place to watch NFL Sunday football games (after Off The Traxx closed last month), after pondering a number of places beachside I called Oasis and asked them how Sundays were. Is it super crowded? Do you have the NFL package? Can you put my game on? Whoever answered the phone was super nice and answered every question. Yes, they have the NFL package, and yes if you are there roughly 30 minutes before game time you are likely to get your game on one of the 6 tv's, and they commented that although there is no food service there are several spots in the same shopping strip that you can bring food in from. We arrived Sunday at 12:30 for a 1pm game and Sarah the bartender opened up and let us in a bit early. She promptly opened things up, got our drinks and asked what tv we wanted to watch the game on. By 1:30 the place was hopping and Sarah ( said she was just filling in and doesn't work there full time) rocked that room as a one person bartending orchestra. I've been in town over 14 years and most people I asked said it was a dark , smokey place not notable at all. Gotta say we were all more than pleasantly surprised. I am a local and not again. Consistent slow extremely rude bartenders that have no concern for their customers. Jill is the worst. She acts like she is the owner and not just a worker. The owner is nice but come on get the bartenders to a people's skills class. I can never understand people that are in the service industry that depend on tips acting this way. I don't live in Melbourne anymore, but this was the Wednesday night spot during my time there. It's definitely a laid-back, local hangout, where the bartender knows everyone. We always used to go in for Wednesday night "Mug Night", basically you bring in any sized container (it has to have a handle to be considered a mug), and they'll fill it for $2. They also have fresh popcorn for free (random, I know...but oddly the perfect pairing for cheap cold beer), pool, ping pong, and shuffleboard. It's also just a short walk to the beach, which is extremely convenient for drunken skinny dipping post-bar. Dumb? Yes. Fun? Absolutely. read more

Fun neighborhood bar but no atmosphere. Remodel done not long ago but no appeal. Very close to the beach, cheap beer but they never order enough so usually run out on Tuesdays of the popular brands. Then on Wednesdays the beer is warm . There doesn't seem to be a manager ever. Some seedy looking people at times but never any issues there other than some poor service. Wednesday's is mug day and is popular with locals. Bring your mug and it's only $2 no matter the size! It might be warm if they ran out of beer again on the prior delivery! We all know this a dive bar in a strip mall, however it's usually very homey feeling. The recent upgrades and ban on smoking inside have brought a fresh new (younger) crowd. Thanks to Tyler and Jeff who make the night experience A+. Tyler is a fantastic bartender and Jeff is a great addition to the team. I am writing this review about an experience I've had with a visit earlier today. Polly was bartending and I have never met a more rude person in the service industry. I sat down and she immediately was nasty to me, even cursing at me. I politely suggested that she shouldn't curse at her customers to which she responded "if you don't like my mouth then get out of my bar" . We live in Melbourne beach. There's no shortage of bars and I have no problem spending money where I'm wanted so I left. As I was leaving I heard her mutter something about not liking serving people of a certain sexuality. Not the words she used at all, however I will not repeat them. She single handedly destroyed any chance of me stepping foot in this establishment again, which is a shame because I've been a customer for over a year and usually stop in at least 3x a week. Shame on Polly and whoever continues to let her berate customers. I know several other people who will not go in if she's bartending and it's just sad. Clearly the owner doesn't care. read more
