Came here because it was reccomended by a friend of mine for the games. I came around 6pm on a Tuesday and there were only a handful of people inside. It was super chill and the bartenders, Tony and Ash really looked out for me. They reccomended good whiskeys for me to sip on and a few other dope bars in the area for me to try. Tuesday was chill but I look forward to coming back on other nights for the dope bartenders and to try a few of the bar games.

The drinks were only alright. I got the hot toddy and I was not a fan yuckyyyy! Lol We got here at 4 pm on a Saturday and the music sucked and the spot was dead. By the time it hit 10 ish there was a crowd of people and the music got littyyyyy!!! Everyone seemed to be around their 20s mid to older 20s which was just my vibe. I met so many new people. They had arcade games in the back. One of the guys in my group scored over a 90 on the basketball game so we kept getting free beers allll night !! The games aren't free but they're like $3 a game which is cheaper than a beer plus fun. There's seats of large groups and food and drinks. There's these shots called pickleback shots lmao it's a shot and a pickle juice shot. Overall it started kinda lame but as the night went on this became a really fun spot. If you come here and are looking for a good time come later at night. If you want to kickback watch a game and hangout come early in the day

What a great spot for some whiskey! The bartender, Dave, was very knowledgeable with the whiskey the bar provided. We had a an old fashion with a local bourbon and it was delicious! We were headed to a show at the music all nearby and I'm glad we stepped in here for these drinks! There's games all around. I'd definitely recommend!

I hope this review finds you well..I beg you.. Whatever you do. Don't order those wings..do u know what cardboard with lemon pepper on it taste like? Me either, but I'm sure it's equivalent to these wings. My goodness imagine having to force yourself to eat 16 of these things.. 2 words.. Never again.. The drinks were either strong or I'm a light weight. It's a cool lil spot. Service was decent.. one of the bartenders are friends with my ex.. So he didn't help at all .. besides that the ambiance is nice.. Get there early if you want a seat on weekend. It gets pretty crowded. But yeah.. Don't order those wings.. If you order them after reading this review..n then you say that guy was right.. I'm trying to save you money!!

I went here last Saturday night with a few friends after a festival in the Brooklyn Expo Center. The bar is large and has a lot of tables. The beer and drink menu was extensive. There were shuffle board tables in the back to the left of the bar, which was fun. I didn't get a chance to play, but my friends did and they liked it a lot. One of my friends and I played the skee ball game in the front of the bar. We tried the pretzel and fries and they were very good. The crowd that is here seemed like fresh out of college kids that were privileged. A lot of them were rude and tried to pick fights, which was really immature. We ended up leaving because we were getting fed up with it. Otherwise, it was a fun place to go for a drink.

We celebrated my friend's birthday at the Whiskey Brooklyn, and ultimately we were not disappointed. The bar area could have been made more comfortable as we had to grab stools from the nearby tables and sort of sit next to each other, tightly packed. We ordered some food, and it was rather good bar food. The chicken BLT wrap, which doesn't exactly come cheap, does taste quite nice. Being at a bar, we had alcohol, and the menu, while not being extensive doesn't cover the whole list of liqueurs available. The UFO White is all right tasting, and I preferred their whiskey sour to it, which comes with the appropriate amount of tartness. The pickleback -- a shot of whiskey followed by pickled juice -- was invented right here in Brooklyn. It turned out to be surprisingly good. The pickle comes with some amount of spiciness that chases long after the whiskey is imbibed.

This place was ok. There's two floors. Upstairs is the quiet bar and downstairs is where the madness ensues. It's like you walk into a cellar with a bar slapped right in the middle. And randomly placed games strewn about. The ambience is loud so don't think you're going downstairs to have a conversation. The bartenders were nice. My drink was strong. Nothing really much to say other than it's a bar in Williamsburg. I would stop by again but it wouldn't be my stay spot.

I mean, it delivers on what you want from it. Big place that feels like a college basement where you can carve out an area for friends. There is definitely a lot of hoopla on the weekends, but Also they have a pretty good wing deal on Thursday's and Sunday's. It's not a bad place to watch a game on off peak nights.

We were in line to go into Brooklyn Brewery, they told us it would be about 40 minutes. We were cold... and were ready to get the party started! We looked back to so how far the line was and noticed The Whiskey Shop. While the line moves, we were sure we would have time to at least have one drink there. So, we left the guys holding our place in line and we went to check this place out. There's "tough" security outside, at all times. Rules - you are carded at the door, and no drinks (not even water) are allowed inside. They will check your bags. Go down the stairs and you'll find a dark basement type of bar full with arcade games, TVs and of course lots of Whiskey. It was Sunday around 2pm and this place was busy. It took us a while to get our drinks but finally we did. Strong! We didn't stay long, the line moved faster than we anticipated so we finished our drinks and left but, loved getting the chance to trying this place and seeing how cool it is inside. Some of the people there can be a bit obnoxious (think frat boy/ college crowd) and, like I said, service can be a bit slow, but still a good place to hang out with friends. 3.5 stars

Came in for lunch. Ordered the lunch special - 2 tacos and a well drink for $10. It was decent. I love a good deal, so I had to go for it. Bartender - he was polite & professional. He floated about tending and conversing with everyone. He never hovered which I loved. The food - the tacos were okay. They give you enough meat as in they are not stingy with it. I got my tacos "Mexican Style." The salsa & hot sauce were definitely needed because the chunks of meat can be a bit drying. The drinks - my first visit to The Whiskey & I didn't order whiskey (sue me). I ordered tequila & pineapple and a tequila & cranberry (random for me). They were just okay considering it was house liquor. Games - So, I came solo and everyone else in the building for the most part were paired up... So I didn't play any. What you need to know: they have large Connect Four, Jenga, Skee Ball & other aracade games. You can definitely have a good time here.

The ceviche was probably the best ceviche I've ever had in my life. It was blood orange based, but the citrus was really well balanced. The king oyster mushroom dish was soo delicious. The sauce and the texture of the mushrooms were to die for. I've salivating thinking about them right now! The fish was also so amazing. The bottoms were so crispy, it was almost like it was a layer of potato chip! Really great texture, and the fish meat was cooked to perfection. Really sad that they're closing, but looking forward to whatever the chef/restaurant team does next!

It's a beautifully designed space, and we went in the evening so it was dimly lit and had good tunes, contributing to an intimate and cool vibe. The service throughout was good both by our primary server and the rest of the team that was bringing out dishes. For the food, we did not feel that it was a strong start, but the ending was great! The first dish to come out was their cornbread, which we agreed was very light and had a super tender texture, but there was just nothing special about the taste profile to us. The second dish were their prawns. We couldn't put our finger on the off-putting flavor in there, but we agreed that something just wasn't right and almost tasted spoiled. You also had to work a bit to dissect the prawns and remove the heads and skin. To work for it and then not enjoy the taste wasn't a great combo for us, unfortunately. It started turning around with their sweet potatoes, a type I'd never had before that were "baby" and purple on the outside while white inside. They served the potatoes with a gorgeously whipped Greek yogurt that added the exact right amount of tang to balance the sweet potato and the herby topping. The stars of the night were the coconut basmati rice and the lamb shank. My goodness! The rice dish was so complex from a flavor and texture profile and just hit all the right notes for us, and that lamb! Definitely one of the best lamb dishes I've had - Impossibly tender and seasoned to perfection. One other note I'll make regarding drinks is that they did not have a strong wine list. I ended up ordering a red, but later heard our waiter recommend against getting their wine to another table and suggesting their cocktails and mocktails instead. Just something to keep in mind if you're a wine lover!
