This is the double cheeseburger. Just look at that stack of meaty goodness.

I went here thinking that it was The White Barn. But that was not the case. It is Bubba Burgers. The lady that took my order was very helpful and patient with me. I would up getting the Double Cheeseburger, fries and a Peach Fayogo. Something to remember when you order the burgers. These patties are 7oz each. A double is almost a full pound. They offer a triple, but not for me. The wait was a little longer than I would have liked, but as she handed me the bag, she said that this was the best cheeseburger she made today. I loved the pride. food was very hot and fresh. Let me tell you, I took a bite of that burger and it got all over my face. Grease and ketchup and mustard dripped down my chin. It was delicious. If I make it back this way, I will stop here again.

This honkin' big burger could have been a pound of meat.

About the wait: As others have noted you'll wait in the drive-thru longer here than fast food places. That's because this isn't fast food. My guess is food is cooked as it's ordered. I think there were four cars ahead of me when I got in the drive-thru line. It was 14 minutes before I picked up my order. What I received was a messy but honkin' big piece of lightly seasoned, fried ground beef cooked medium well. It may have been a pound of meat. I would have liked a bit more seasoning but it was well worth the price. Speaking of which: $7 and some change included the burger; big, puffy, hand cut fries (which also could have used seasoning); and, a can of Vess soda (reppin' St. Louis!). That, my friends, is high value.

We stopped here after hiking at the nearby fort. The service was friendly and fast. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and not greasy at all. We had two burgers, a side of okra, and a catfish dinner. Everything was fresh and delicious! The catfish was obviously breaded on site as was the okra. Yum!! We will definitely be back if we're back in the area!

It's drive through only and be prepared to wait. Hard menu to read being a first timer. Shady area but right next to police station so don't be alarmed. One drive up window to place order and then drive around the building to the next window to get your food and pay. Building is so small you can barely make the turn around it. A good 15 minute wait. Food was good though and like they say "worth the weight". Burgers are huge 1/2 pounders so singles are enough for most. Not at all greasy but full of flavor Had mine with bacon onion and pickle. No sauce mon! Ordered cheese fries and they actually melt sliced cheese right over the top.. in 2 different layers! Impressive. Gotta eat those guys hot though! They serve them in their own brown bag! And as a bonus you get your pick of local Vess soda. Cream for me please. It's an experience and worth the off the beaten path, run down look of the place. All that old grease has flavor after all!

Don't come to White Barn on Chambers if you have somewhere to be waited over 20 mins for some nachos ONLY for them to be fucked up & had to come wait another 20 mins for it to be fixed ! TERRIBLE SERIVE FOR THE CHICK WITH BAD LASHES

The mystique of the White Barn runs deep in this area in St. Louis. There's barely any reference to it on the omniscient Google beyond a blog post, the Moline Acres Chamber of Commerce, and now this Yelp page. They do have a Facebook fan page complete with loyal fans. I mentioned that I was going to try this place out and a coworker responded, "That's the town where they recovered my Jeep riddled in bullets!" This establishment is what it says - a freaking white barn, where you order at one window and pay/pick up at the next. But let's not get caught up in the nitty gritty details. Let's talk about the burger. I swear there's some pork in the patty, but I'm not sure. Apparently "everything on it" does not include lettuce and tomato. They put some interesting spices in the burger that made it quite tasty, and the suspiciously meatloafiness made me think there was more than just beef in it. Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed it. They also offer sides such as jalapeno poppers and fried okra. What cracks me up about this place is that they only serve St. Louis native Vess soda. I wouldn't go out of my way to try this place out, but I'll definitely stop by again.

Wow! I can't believe this place. Probably one of the best burgers I've had in my life. First time here in the area is a little sketchy so I just figured I'd get a cheeseburger to try it out. Wish I would have gotten the fries. Talk about a thick Burger and have all the condiments on it. Slightly on the greasy side which makes it all that much mo better. I will definitely be back again here tomorrow.

First, super overcooked and dry burger.

I recently stopped by after an appointment in STL. It was right at lunch time and it was also, opening day for the Cardinals. So when I entered, the line to order was already long. To my surprise, the one lady taking orders, moved that line quickly. So I give her major kudos. When it was turn to order, I was ready. I went with a Double and swapped out the American Cheese for Pepper Jack. For my side, I tried their Salt&Pepper Onion Rings. After ordering, I took my number stick and took a seat at the bar. Once seated, the bartender welcomed me and I ordered a draft beer. I barely had completed my Wordle and my burger basket was being slid in front of me. Before taking my first bite, I admired the crisp edges and actually ran my finger around them. My first bite was heaven. It proved to me that all a good smash burger needs is; ketchup, mustard, onion and pickles. The Onion Rings were made in house and the simple seasoning of Salt & Pepper made them a winner. While dining at the bar, I learned a new trick. If you're going to be sitting at the bar to enjoy your smash burger, you can order it from the bartender. That's right, no standing in line to order, you can go straight to the bar. Great staff. They all hustle and provide friendly and professional service.

Price: All together, with a dollar tip, I paid $27 and change, which to me is incredibly pricey for counter service. $2 for a dipping sauce is steep, and for a small container. Next time? I'd skip the dipping sauce and homemade lemonade to save $7. I'll be back but not running to pay this much again. The storefront: the direct out front, small parking lot was packed and people were going into the gated lot to find parking. Only one person working the counter when you first walk in which lead to a long line at the dinner rush that seemed to be moving pretty slow. We got in before the rush and got our food quickly after. Staff were kind and very helpful! Fairly clean with the food runners circling tables often to remove trash.

I'm disappointed that it took me so long to make my way here. They won me over with the tiny dedicated parking lot. At my big age, difficult parking situations are a turn off and I will go home if I can't get reasonable parking. I was able to snag a space in the lot and headed in. The space is a bit dark with rich sage, brass, and terracotta. There are several hanging plants making it an inviting place. The bar has plenty of comfortable seating and cozy tables if you decide to bring some friends. Caleb was our server during our visit. He was an absolute delight. He made excellent cocktail suggestions. He looked after our group without being overly doting. Just a gem of a human. We tried approximately 9 cocktails during our visit. Did I mention we were at brunch! I highly recommend the peach bite and the Side Car. Every cocktail is thoughtfully made and well executed. They offer a small brunch menu along with the regular menu. I usually always get chilaquiles when they are available. But today the ruby trout and grits sounded perfect. This dish was amazing!! The trout was thin with crispy skin. The grits were creamy and delicious. The dish is topped with a house made radish pico and salsa macha. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich that was paired with the crispiest breakfast potatoes I've ever had. The burger and fries are also a good option. The seasoning on the fries is next level. The brunch menu has a sticky toffee roll that is a perfect size for sharing or not. Salty sweet fork tender cinnamon roll. Lastly, the deviled eggs were a group favorite. I am a big fan of Passenger Chili Crisp. If you are unfamiliar please look them up! It's hands down the best chili crisp I've ever had. It's locally made here in STL and can also be found in several dishes at restaurants around town. The eggs were creamy with the right amount of tang from the mustard. The chili crisp made these deviled eggs easily top five best I've ever had! Planning to stop in again soon for happy hour with more friends

The bar itself is unpretentious and welcomes everyone. While I was dining at the bar, the rest of the diners were a widely diverse mixture. Witnessing such a vast mixture of people, adds a positive twist to the vibe of the bar. The menu is simple. They focus on what they do best and that's why their smash burger is one of the best. Being a firecracker myself, I ordered the Firecracker Smashburger. It's a single patty, with Pepper Jack Cheese, Tomato-Onion-Jalapeno Relish, Drizzled with a Tangy Fire Ranch and served on a Martin's Potato Roll. The burger was juicy and had those crispy edges that a smash burger is known for. My favorite cheese is Pepper Jack, so that was a big plus for me. The relish added that extra kick that made it a true, Firecracker. I can't enjoy a burger without fries and Jack offers long skinny fries. They had a crispy shell and a soft hot inside. They were simply seasoned with just the right amount of salt. I was impressed that the ketchup was 100% Natural. That gets a big thumbs up. When enjoying a burger and fries, a nice cold beer is always the adult beverage of choice. JN offers a small variety of craft beers on draft and three popular Anheuser-Busch products. I enjoyed a Gumballhead from 3 Floyds Brewing. An American Pale Wheat is a perfect lunchtime beer. The bartenders are personable and offer warm service. I'm definitely coming back the next time I crave a smashburger.
