There burgers are delicious and nice customer service and the location is convenient I ordered a burger fry and a drink

I hadn't been here since 1991 or so. I found out that it was still open and wanted to try it. I loved the burgers back then. They were about 1/2 lb of the fattiest ground beef you could get. When you got home the bag was almost see through from all the grease. They only cost $2.00 for regular burgers and $2.25 for cheeseburgers, if I remember correctly. When you drove up to place your order they would give you your drink, and when you paid for your food, they refilled your drink. It was one of my memorable hamburger joints. Now, you pull up, place your order. No drink . You drive around to pay for your food and they give you a can of Faygo soda. Pretty cheap soda. The burger is still pretty big but nothing like it used to be. The fries were okay, but next time I'll ask for no seasoning. It was kind of sweet. . So a cheeseburger, fries, and cheap soda, all for $11.00. It was good to reminisce, but the current Burger Barn will never match the original. The lady working, or maybe the owner, was super sweet. She said it was now called Bubba Burger or something like that. The White Barn part of the sign is covered up. The neighborhood is kind of sketch, but this is right next to the police department. I have not been to the White Barn and a very long time but the good news is I heard it is now under new ownership and they are back bigger and better than ever so one day in the near future I plan to stop by there and I'll let you guys know my full review Once I do read more

I went here thinking that it was The White Barn. But that was not the case. It is Bubba Burgers. The lady that took my order was very helpful and patient with me. I would up getting the Double Cheeseburger, fries and a Peach Fayogo. Something to remember when you order the burgers. These patties are 7oz each. A double is almost a full pound. They offer a triple, but not for me. The wait was a little longer than I would have liked, but as she handed me the bag, she said that this was the best cheeseburger she made today. I loved the pride. food was very hot and fresh. Let me tell you, I took a bite of that burger and it got all over my face. Grease and ketchup and mustard dripped down my chin. It was delicious. About the wait: As others have noted you'll wait in the drive-thru longer here than fast food places. That's because this isn't fast food. My guess is food is cooked as it's ordered. I think there were four cars ahead of me when I got in the drive-thru line. It was 14 minutes before I picked up my order. What I received was a messy but honkin' big piece of lightly seasoned, fried ground beef cooked medium well. It may have been a pound of meat. I would have liked a bit more seasoning but it was well worth the price. Speaking of which: $7 and some change included the burger; big, puffy, hand cut fries (which also could have used seasoning); and, a can of Vess soda (reppin' St. Louis!). Went by the new White Barn aka Bubba Burgers and more. There was a truck at the pickup window and no one else. Since I can get in and get out quickly. I decided to try them out. 1 burger with everything on it is $$5.99. The must didn't have a lot of customers because I was informed that they only accepted exact cash or plastic. I had plastic so I was good. It took about 10mins to get my sandwich after placing my order. They were friendly! The hamburger was about an inch thick and taste like season salt was added. I had everything added to my burger(mustard,Ketchup,pickles and diced onions). The sandwich was good but I'm not crazy about the price. Your prices are high,you don't have enough money to make change and you forget you're in the hood. You're not going to last long in the hood and your prices or high! We stopped here after hiking at the nearby fort. The service was friendly and fast. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and not greasy at all. We had two burgers, a side of okra, and a catfish dinner. Everything was fresh and delicious! The catfish was obviously breaded on site as was the okra. Yum!! We will definitely be back if we're back in the area! read more

Doesn't look like much but really, they have the best burgers around at very reasonable prices. The double cheeseburger with fries and a Vess canned soda is seriously enough for two people. Everything is cooked to order so you have to wait a bit at the window to get your order, but it's worth it. It's a bit of a drive from where I live, but White Barn is so good that it's still my go-to place for a great burger. Drive through only, and like I said, it doesn't look like much but try it. One drive up window to place order and then drive around the building to the next window to get your food and pay. Building is so small you can barely make the turn around it. A good 15 minute wait. Food was good though and like they say "worth the weight". Burgers are huge 1/2 pounders so singles are enough for most. Not at all greasy but full of flavor Had mine with bacon onion and pickle. No sauce mon! Ordered cheese fries and they actually melt sliced cheese right over the top.. in 2 different layers! Impressive. Gotta eat those guys hot though! They serve them in their own brown bag! And as a bonus you get your pick of local Vess soda. Cream for me please. It's an experience and worth the off the beaten path, run down look of the place. I've been eating at this restaurant for over 20 years, so much nostalgia from the place. I ordered the double cheeseburger and the size did not disappoint, I received 2 huge Patties with 3 slices of bread and 3 slices of cheese, I thought I was in for a treat, same as I remembered. I bit into the burger ( couldn't wait to I got to my destination. And I'm a foodie so I pulled over just to enjoy this 20 min long wait to eat it, the meat was actually real ground beef, ( surprisingly) with all the mixtures of meats going around to pass off as ground beef, but this burger has no seasoning. So disappointing. I also ordered a pork chop sandwich, it was just fried with some weird glaze on it. I mean a pork chop sandwich should be deep fried with batter, with bread the glaze just through it off. With pickles and onions just weird. The fries were about the meal. The mystique of the White Barn runs deep in this area in St. Louis. There's barely any reference to it on the omniscient Google beyond a blog post, the Moline Acres Chamber of Commerce, and now this Yelp page. They do have a Facebook fan page complete with loyal fans. I mentioned that I was going to try this place out and a coworker responded, "That's the town where they recovered my Jeep riddled in bullets!" This establishment is what it says - a freaking white barn, where you order at one window and pay/pick up at the next. But let's not get caught up in the nitty gritty details. Let's talk about the burger. I swear there's some pork in the patty, but I'm not sure. Apparently "everything on it" does not include lettuce and tomato. They put some interesting spices in the burger that made it quite tasty, and the suspiciously meatloafiness made me think there was more than just beef in it. Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed it. They also offer sides such as jalapeno poppers and fried okra. What cracks me up about this place is that they only serve St. Louis native Vess soda. Wow! I can't believe this place. Probably one of the best burgers I've had in my life. First time here in the area is a little sketchy so I just figured I'd get a cheeseburger to try it out. Went last Friday to check this place out for possible quick pickup of food for work meetings. The burgers were SO overcooked and dry, but tye fried were hot and fresh. Went again today, just to give a second chance and asked for my burger "medium" and fries "crisp". After a 25+ minute wait, burger was better but not hot and fries were cold. Had heard about The White Barn through an RFT article and had been wanting to check it out. At first glance it's in a bad neighborhood but the food is well worth the scare haha..... This burger is enormous! The single is a half pound of ground beef is a so hot and juicy it will blow your mind! I got mine with everything on it and it was absolutely delicious! The garlic mayo really adds some big flavor to this burger! I don't know if I could have finished a double today (full pound of beef) but I will be trying it next time I come out here! I would definitely recommend cruising by this place if you are ever out here! Great home style burger and hot as hell steak fries! Drove over for the White Barn burger experience -- and what an experience it was. It reminded me of the ol' Dairy Barn experience -- you stay in your car while ordering your food while the staff cook it and bring it out to you. At WB, you order on one side of the building and pick it up on the other side of the building. I was glad to hear they source their meat and fixings locally! Anyway, it was worth the wait. A truly hand-formed patty that was juicy, huge, and very tasty. It was a little messy, since I had ketchup, mustard, mayo -- the works on this thing. I got a single, and I'm glad I did. The double looked like it was a pound of meat! Easily one of the best burgers I've had in St. Louis...and I'll be back! Well...I was craving a handmade all beef 'one of those your momma used to make hamburgers' today and as I paged through yelp I thought I would give this place a try. Being right down from where I was located I thought it was a better alternative to a sonic or jack n the box (both not good). As I pulled up to the first window a rather friendly lady greeted me. Because there are no pictures or any frame of reference for how big or small the burgers are I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger. When I tried to order a milkshake she chuckled and showed me the list of vess soda's available. The driveway is a little tricky because when you go to pull around its like the turning radius is not enough, but I made it... So My burger and fries shortly came out ($8.90) in a brown paper bag with the grease stains...yum... I made my way down to the seven eleven got a big gulp and was on my way back. While in the car who can resist a few fries so I had a couple...they were so hot and those big kinda steak fries so super good. Could have used a pinch more of salt I thought at the time. Ok so when I got to where I was going I opened my brown paper bag...WOW the burger was half the size of my big gulp!!! I mean it was huge...I wish I had taken a picture... But it was made in a Big Mac style bun in between and the patties were just so darn thick. I had to cut it in half and could barely finish my half. I got everything on it so it was extra juicy. This place is about as good as it gets for burgers in North County. Yes its a little awkward and I'm not sure about the prices but if you are looking for a huge burger that is super fresh then you should def try them out. read more

I got the cheese fries...I'm not a huge fan of just placing a slice of american cheese on top of my fries and calling them "cheese fries",but for a 10 cent upcharge, I guess I should have expected that.
