I was very disappointed in my experience. I didn't get a massage here so I can't rate that…read more Here's my story: I was gifted a gift card to this establishment for my birthday and was very excited to use it. They use a third party website to purchase gift cards. On this site, you have to sign up/create an account and book an appointment. When you get to the payment part, there is no option to use a gift card. Instead, they ask you to enter your credit card information. Why should I have to enter my credit card information if I have a gift card, especially as that was the sole purpose of having to sign up to use the gift card and schedule an appointment. That was the first red flag for me. So I thought, let me call them instead and book the appointment since the site doesn't seem to have an option to select that I have a gift card I want to use. What I didn't want to happen is I enter my credit card information and then go for my massage just to be told I have to pay with my credit card and that they wouldn't somehow recognize or even accept my gift card. This turned out to be the case. When I make the phone call, I explained I had a gift card and that I want to make an appointment. I was told to just come in and I tried to clarify if it's better to make an appointment or just walk in (people that were walking in were being told they would have to come back in an hour/45 minutes as they didn't have people avaiable). The man on the phone kept saying to come in multiple times and at some point changed his mind and said that appointment is better. I tell him what time I want to come in the next day but it doesn't seem like he really takes note of that as he didn't really ask for my information. The next day I go in just to be told that they don't accept gift cards and do not have any record of a gift card purchase and that I should get a refund. I showed them a copy of the digital gift card and also mentioned to them that they have a link on their website that allows people to buy gift cards and there wasn't really any acknowledgement of that. I told them that they might want to take that down if they don't accept gift cards as payments. They asked me if I still wanted to have a massage appointment and I declined.

I called, and they said they did chair massages and they had availability so I went over. I told him that I wanted the chair massage. I was led to one of the foot massage chairs and told that this was the same thing. I was like no. I want a chair massage like in this picture because I had bad neck and shoulder tightness, and they assured me that this was better. Then my masseuse started doing a full body massage. I explicitly asked for my shoulders and my neck. Essentially, I just paid the exact same price for just a private full body massage, but with the added benefit of being fully clothed in the middle of a public room. So now I feel like I have rug burn from my clothing, and I couldn't fully relax. My masseuse was very nice. And when he was working on my neck, he did a good job, but this was not at all what I asked for or what I needed. For paying full massage price, I would have gone to a spa or gotten one of the rooms. This was such a frustrating and disappointing experience. I needed my knots worked on. Not a rub down.

This option was not on their menu, however I was accommodated. I specifically said shoulders and arms because this is my touching comfort level. My massage was very good. However, the masseuse went down my back. Even pulling down my pants to my upper buttock area. I've had plenty massages before so I know techniques, and the masseuse didn't do anything wrong. However, working in the legal field, if a male masseuse did this to a female he would be arrested and the salon would have a professional liability claim against them. This is specifically why I asked for shoulders and arms, to stay out the gray area of inappropriate massages. In addition, I didn't like the masseuse attempting to upcharge the services. $10 extra for coconut oil, $30 extra for back scrub, $10 extra to walk on back. I didn't get the full 30 mins either. With all this said, I would still return, The masseuse was friendly, the place was quiet and clean, and she did an excellent job. The place had a nice vibe and their prices weren't outrageous.

Disappointing experience. Service started off well. I booked…read morea 2-hour "Iyashi Signature Full Body Massage" online. Upon arrival, I was greeted and seated in the waiting area with my feet in a tub of warm water--plain water, no scents or additives. I didn't think much of it. I was given a sheet to mark my preferences: pressure level, areas to focus on, and what I did not want. I selected medium pressure, clearly marked NO stretching, and indicated focus areas on the body diagram: neck and shoulders, low back, quads, calves, and feet. I also chose the stress-relief aroma, though I never smelled any aroma during the service. Once called in, I used the restroom and was guided to a private room. The first therapist, a woman, was wonderful--attentive, good pressure, and responsive when I asked for adjustments. She started with a massage over the sheet and then added oil for my back. The first half of the service was genuinely great. Then, midway through, I heard the door open and quiet rustling. No one said anything, and I immediately felt a different pair of hands. A moment later, a male voice spoke, which surprised me because no one informed me of a therapist switch. I don't mind male therapists, but a heads-up is the bare minimum. Despite me clearly marking NO stretching, he grabbed my arms and pulled them backward while I was face down. I said "ow, please put me down." He continued stretching me in a way that felt rough and careless. When he lifted my arms, my bare chest also lifted, and he was positioned directly in front of me, which made me feel extremely exposed. When he finally put me down, I decided to just let the moment slide instead of escalating it. The rest of his portion felt rushed and inattentive--he barely addressed the areas I marked (especially neck and shoulders), mostly rustling through my hair. The foot massage was okay, but he dropped my legs down abruptly afterward. He also broke my hair clip, threw it away without asking, and didn't apologize. When I checked out, I told the front desk girl I was unsatisfied. She told me I should have spoken up during the service--except there was clearly a language barrier, and the situation made it hard to advocate for myself in the moment. I also mentioned the broken hair clip, and for that, she offered a 5% discount. Can't say I'd return. The first lady was great, though I didn't catch her name. Unfortunately, the bald male therapist completely ruined what started as a promising experience.
