After teeing off on hole 1 during an 8:08 AM solo round, I realized I had lost my cell phone somewhere in the rough. My music cut out, and that's when panic set in. I retraced my steps all the way back to the clubhouse and spoke with Del, who was behind the counter. Without hesitation, he called Joseph from the Cart Barn to help me search for the phone on hole 1. Joseph and I went back to the course, and he started calling my phone as we retraced my steps. It felt like we were searching for a needle in a haystack, but they didn't give up. Thanks to their determination, we found my phone, and they even let me redo hole 1 so I could start fresh. This level of customer service is truly above and beyond. It's not just about playing golf here; it's about how the staff genuinely cares for their customers. Coldwater Golf Course is a hidden gem for golf enthusiasts who want a great round without breaking the bank. The course has a laid-back vibe, with a desert-style layout that offers wide fairways and just the right amount of challenge with its bunkers and water hazards. The greens are well-kept and roll true, and the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and desert make it a visually pleasing place to play. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Coldwater is a welcoming spot to enjoy a round of golf. The course itself has always been great, but I've noticed even more improvements lately, which I credit to Del and his dedicated team. The conditions are better than ever, and I can't recommend this place enough. Coldwater isn't just a golf course; it's a community that values every golfer who walks through their doors. Yesterday was a perfect day of golf, thanks to the amazing team at Coldwater Golf Course. This place deserves all the praise it gets, and then some. I was more than happy at what I found at Tres Rios. First a new club house with pro shop and future restaurant, clean open with lots of windows. At check in the young man was friendly and welcoming. The carts were fairly new. I remember the last time I was there it was a very worn golf course that was in need of quite a bit of TLC. While the entire land area is relatively flat there are a lot of trees which add to the beauty of the course as well as adding danger to wayward shots. I was very please at the condition of the course. It was basically green with some limited areas of bare ground, but nothing like before. The fairways were in good shape, with a mostly complete cover of grass that was a nice surface to play off of. The greens were in very good shape with a good covering of grass and they ran fast and true. Because the topography is basically flat the course tends to go back and forth and down the bordering perimeters. It is not a challenging course in terms of up/down or unusual shaped green complexes, but the amount of trees on the property adds a dimension that lots of desert courses lack. I enjoyed my round at Tres Rios, I encourage others to give it a try and I surely will return and put it on my regular golf rotation for play.

We had an Oasis suite and it was spacious and it looked newly renovated. The bathroom had both a tub and a walkin shower and we had a first floor room so we could walk directly to the adult pool. We went swimming every afternoon we were there and other than one person for 10 minutes, we were the only ones swimming. One nice thing is that they provide pool noodles so we could float to our hearts content. From the time we checked in, every person on their staff was helpful and friendly. We found when we checked in that the valets offered a free shuttle throughout the resort. So one night we went to the golf course and took a shuttle there. Since it was 112° it was a great alternative to driving or walking. If we had one quibble, the exterior of the resort, could've used an update. For example, the adult soft water pool surround was cracked in many places. I guess trying to grow grass in Phoenix in the middle of summer is difficult, but it made the common areas look unkempt. But overall, we loved everything else about the resort and would highly recommend staying here.

The family pool was extremely crowded with children, which is expected for a family-friendly resort. We spent most of our time at the adult pool, which was much quieter and child-free. Unfortunately, the adult pool area felt like an afterthought compared to the family side. Several tiles in the pool were broken, giving the area a worn and somewhat neglected feel. The lounge chairs were not as nice as those at the family pool, and the cabanas also seemed less inviting and less maintained. The food and beverage experience was another disappointment. There was no traditional menu available at the adult pool. Instead, you had to scan a QR code on the drink menu to access food options and then call in your order yourself. It felt inconvenient and took away from the relaxing resort experience. One bright spot was the poolside service. Our server was very attentive, friendly, and checked on us regularly throughout the day. She did a great job and provided excellent customer service. While the adult pool provided a quieter atmosphere, it lacked the quality and amenities I expected.

We were escorted to the driving range where they gave use plenty of plastic golf tees and we have plenty of range balls to hit that were already set up for us. The balls were pretty clean too. I was bummed they did not have any breakfast sandwiches before my round as the restaurant was closed. So I waited to order when I got the the 9th tee. I ordered the club sandwich and it was delicious. I really liked the options you had as a side. I got the Cole slaw which was pretty dog gone good. It was especially nice they gave us some chocolate chip cookies too. Mike the Marshall delivered the sandwiches to us when we were on like the 12th hole. Overall this place is a great place to hit the golf course. People there were super friendly. I cannot wait to go back!!!

The hollandaise for the asparagus was cold and congealed. Normally I would give a restaurant a second chance but 2 very different meals and both were bad. $42.00 for a roast chicken that had BBQ sauce on it. Definitely not a high end restaurant. Sadly I would say save your money because Los Caballeros Golf Club was the worst meal I have eaten in a long time.

All or most of the carts were allocated for the tournament. Several other people behind us were waiting for carts also. The lead/manager finally came, apologized and offered to give us drinks from the concession cart. What a Cluster of disorganization!! Finally, we got to the 1st tee and there was no putting green nearby and the starter was not too sharp. Typically, there is a putting green near the 1st hole on most/all courses I have played. Let's just say this course is not a $150 course and more like a $60 course. The layout was flat and back and forth and the greens were okay not great. Played later in the day at Verrado Golf Club for $99 and it was an awesome experience.
