I am very happy with Kandy. She has been very kind and does an amazing job each time I go to her. I am so happy she responded to my texts when I write her about appointments and so on I had to drop the previous person I went with named Candace( in the same salon) I was very very unhappy and disappointed with her. She refused to answer calls and multiple attempts to make an appointment or other concerns I had regarding appointments and hair services. She is very unprofessional and over charges for hair colors. I tip very high and I thought that would make a difference in the way I was treated, but it didn't with Candace. When I switched to Kandi after weeks of not getting through to Candace, I realized a big difference. Kandi charges half the cost of the same hair coloring service and she answered promptly to my texts/calls. I wish I had Kandi Ammons the first time I had my hair done. She always does exactly what I ask, and exceeds my expectations every freakin time. I found her on instagram a while ago and I don't think I'll ever be able to go / want to go to anyone else ever again. One of the stylists, named Brianna, completely messed up my hair. Initially, she said she'd send a full refund. Then 3 days later when I asked her about it, she said her boss told her not to give me my money back. After I sent pictures, she said, it's not that bad. I look like a bad bleached blond out of a box kind of color. She was self absorbed, never said goodbye because she was too interested in her phone. No follow up discussion was had because she was only able to do part of the work. Which is what I anticipated. But not caring if I came back to complete the work, focusing more on her phone, and then giving me hair that is frizzy and horrible looking is never anything that I would recommend! read more

I love this salon! I have been to so many salons since relocating to Redlands from San Luis Obispo, CA...this one may just be the one where I land! It's nicely done but not trying too hard to be cool...so you'll still be able to pay your mortgage after a haircut! Monica is now cutting my three year old and five year old's hair and doing an amazing job and she's chatting with my girls and she clearly has so much patience! I'm so happy with the way my eyebrows turned out. Leanne is an amazing permanent makeup artist and such a sweetheart. I instantly felt comfortable with her and she really went out of her way to make my appointment an enjoyable experience. I like how she had me continually check the color and shape of my brows throughout the process so that I could have her make any changes before she was done. Don't let Candice butcher your locks, that's for sure. I went in with waist long virgin hair wanting a soft balayage. After having a thorough consultation with Candice, she thought it would be a good idea to give me a full head of platinum highlights that I didn't ask for. It was like everything we spoke about went right out the window. Half of my head was a bleached Balayage technique while the other half of my head was a color weave. It wasn't even done well at all, not even remotely close. Parts of my hair platinum, other parts are the perfect shade of saxophone, and my personal favorite: school bus yellow. I'd like to reiterate that I specifically told her I didn't want to be blonde....Thanks a bunch... how the hell do you even have a license? When I brought this to her attention I was told not to panic and to just let it grow into a balayage. She has zero accountability for her mistakes with my hair, and told me that she just gave me babylights. Clearly this woman has no idea what the hell she is doing. I got a full refund of $240, and I'm having my hair corrected elsewhere. The salon that I'm going to now LITERALLY gasped when they saw what Candice did to my hair. Ladies, I know this place has decent reviews for other stylists. Trust that April and Jamie know what they are doing. Don't even waste your time, money or effort on Candace. Go anywhere else. Just had my first appointment with Candace yesterday and I am SO impressed! I have had very dark hair (colored) for years and I went in wanting to be honey brown. Candace knew it was going to be a challenge to get my hair to lift, but was more than willing to try it. Because my hair is so stubborn and because of the type of color that had been used on it in the past, it ended up being a really long process, but Candace never made me feel bad about it and never cut corners. There were multiple tweaks she made along the way to make sure the color came out beautifully.I am so happy with the way my hair turned out and I will absolutely be going back to Candace in the future (already excited about next appointment!). If you are looking for someone who knows her stuff, is dedicated, and a ton of fun to hang out with while you get your hair done, I highly recommend her! I was also impressed with the salon as a whole. Having worked at a salon/spa as a receptionist a number of years ago, I tend to bring that perspective (scrutiny?) when I am in a new salon. I recently discovered Monica Flores at this little gem of a place. The salon is cozy and clean and customer service great. I'd sought out a stylist since my return to San Bernardino and I've finally found a place to call home for all my hair care needs. Monica is amazing at cutting, styling and coloring. My hair is black and I have had a great deal of misfortune in trying to find someone who can lighten my hair without completely damaging my hair. Monica was able to give me the perfect shade of golden brown with highlights that I was looking for without damaging my hair. Monica is energetic has great personality. My mom came down from Northern California to visit and her hair was a disaster. I called Jason and explained we had a party to go to that night and her hair needed immediate attention. Candice did my hair here in March. She was referred to me by my coworkers. I wanted a service that was extensive and she talked me out of what I wanted and into something that was a "quicker" version. In hindsight I should have trusted my instincts and stuck with my plan because it is now taking months to achieve the color I want. My problem wasn't with her work. She did a good job with my hair. When I left the salon I made my next appointment with her. A few days before this appointment she text me with a cancelation notice. Did not reschedule. In fact I had to keep following up with her to reschedule with no definite answer from her on when she could reschedule. After contacting her 3-4 times I went to a different salon. What really bothered me about the experience was when one of my coworkers tells me Candice bragged to her about "blowing me off". Very unprofessional! read more
