The Wine Feed in Raleigh NC
    Bruce K.

I'm not usually a wine drinker but I was meeting a colleague after work and I wanted something classy. This is classy. The Wine Feed does have a few folks who come in for post-work wine and they have an excellent selection with a printed menu as well as a bunch of snacks that go well with wine. I chose the not-too-expensive Portuguese red which was from the same winery that I did a tasting of when I was in Porto last year. That was nice to see. Lots of options in by-the-glass or bottles here, not just for enjoying here but also to take for enjoyment later. There are some seats along the windows to watch the Glenwood traffic go by. Street parking. [Review 11679 overall, 1461 of 2019.]

I can't believe that I haven't been here before. We stopped in to pick up a bottle of wine and our charcuterie board from the Grazin' Gals. I liked that we got 10% off for shopping here since we purchased a board so that was a plus. They had a good selection and the service was friendly.

New space, new face, this newly opened wine shop is just starting to hit their stride! The shelves have been filled and I stopped in a for a S. American wine class which was excellent. Six pours with a slide show full of knowledge and facts about the wine growing regions and wineries presented during the tasting. And at a pretty decent price, $20 for the class. The space at the Wine Feed is modern, elegant and upscale providing a classy place to choose a bottle or grab a glass of vino. But the guys running the place (the Phil's) are easy-going and accessible, a nice combination. So check out Raleigh's newest wine shop, they're conveniently located (for me) right at the base of the new Hampton Inn hotel!

Bottom line: The Wine Feed is keepin' it classy on Glenwood South. Great wine selection, clean nice store/wine bar, awesome staff, and solid special events. Whether going to find a bottle of something special or just to drop by for a glass or two, you will find The Wine Feed among one of the best places to do it. The Deets: I've enjoyed quite a few visits to The Wine Feed now, and they are consistently awesome. Whether it's been at pre-planned events or just dropping by for a glass of vino or two, they always deliver with good selection, excellent recommendations, and a nice clean venue to sit down and enjoy your selection. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they enjoy discussing wines and even travel experiences that you can find great wines. Their recent Corks and Cakes Valentine's event was perfect (disclaimer: thanks for the tix, Yelp!), and I recommend you check out one of their events if you've never visited these guys. I even picked up a bottle of one of the wines in the pairing for that event, and they gave a discount for attending the event, bonus. I've never had a disappointing visit at The Wine Feed. Quite honestly, they are an oasis of quiet civility in an area that is known for a boisterous bar scene...two thumbs up for that. #keepinitclassy

I always enjoy heading on in to the Wine Feed. The only downside is parking can be scarce on a busy Glenwood South evening. My favorite is their +&+ Prosecco and I feel like it is a pretty good bargain at only $10 a bottle. I like that they have the option of a few snacks, so if you are hungry you can at least grab something there while enjoying your wine. I recently went in for the cupcake and champagne tasting which was a lot of fun. By the end I had enough of the cupcakes (never thought I would say that). I thought all the pairings they selected for the event worked really well and I tried some tasty new sparkling wines that I may not have tried otherwise. The interior isn't huge, but they always end up having plenty of seating. I also like their small patio if you are interested in sitting outdoors on a nice day and partaking in some people watching!

I love, love, love The Wine Feed. I went on Yelp yesterday to read my review and shocker I never wrote one I have no idea how that happened. I've visited The Wine Feed more than a few times now and I have never been disappointed. Every time I stop in I end up having such a great time I can't wait to come back. Part retail store part wine bar they have everything that you need. You can also order cheese plates to snack on while you're sipping your wine. The Wine Feed is by far my favorite place to grab a glass of wine. The wine flights that they offer are so good and I always end up finding a new vino to take home with me. The folks running this place (otherwise known as the 2 Phil's) are incredibly personable and friendly I would feel totally comfortable stopping in by myself knowing I'm always in good company. No matter what wine you are looking for if they don't have it they will be able to suggest something similar or order it for you. The store is all modern decor with a fancy white bar to enjoy your wine at. Don't let the upscale look fool you this place is as laid back as it gets. I just wish they stayed open later on weekends it's the only place on Glenwood South I would want to be at past 10pm. Check out their website they always have tastings and different events going on. Take a date, meet your girlfriends, or stop in pre or post dinner you won't be disappointed.

The Wine Feed is fantastic. I had the pleasure of working with Phillip to choose wines for my wedding. Not only did he help us pick the ABSOLUTE best wines at the best price, but also delivered them to the venue for us. Our guests loved our wine, we picked the perfect quantities, and I've gone back to sit and sip, as well as purchase a few bottles to go. More importantly, this is a great friendly venue, stylish, and the selection is great. I cannot say enough great things about this place.

    Great wine & service!

I always enjoy stopping in The Wine Feed! Fantastic wine selection, service and cozy space on Glenwood. Ryan is always so friendly, knowledgeable and patient with all of my wine questions & overall chatter. One visit I left my sunglasses and Ryan ran down Glenwood to bring them to me when he noticed I'd left them behind. I would love if they did more tasting classes and pairing events or perhaps even live music. Wish we had more wine tasting spots in Raleigh so I always enjoy supporting The Wine Feed so they know how much we need and appreciate our local wine spots.

Great place but the bartenders need to know how to pour a beer. Every beer is 3/4 full. That is against the law in Michigan.

I am compelled to remind every resident and every visitor to make this a "must go to and enjoy" place for either brunch on Saturday or Sunday, or for dinner any night of the week. Go for the amazing cuisine, vast wine list, and stay for the outstanding service! Recently, we have found ourselves trying not to enjoy just our go-to favorites that are mainstays on the ever-evolving menu. We have been blown away by the flavors of the large plate option called Chicken Pimientos. Don't let the name throw you, because it's not super spicy, it just has a nice kick to it with delicious potatoes accompanying the very moist and flavorful chicken. The way the kitchen team at Barcelona handles the preparation of the eggplant caponata is impressive and very unique. Other favorites on the tapas section of the menu recently are stuffed piquillos, corn zucchini bunuelos (think fair food turned healthy!), Wagyu carpaccio, lamb kofta, and pulpo gallego. Remember that their tapas offerings rotate in and out, oftentimes based on the season and availability of fresh products. The wine offerings are unparalleled in the city of Raleigh, and when you visit for dinner on a Monday evening, every bottle is half-priced. Can't beat that for a way to jump-start your work week! We tend to sit at the bar on most visits as bartenders Kira and Cameron truly handle their bar with a welcoming vibe and impressive ease. General manager Jed is a visible leader of this great team and makes every guest feel appreciated. Awesome job all the way around!

We shared a glass of cava, which was crisp and delicious. I chose the aperitivo board and my husband ordered the paella mariscos. My husband lived in Spain for a while so he had high hopes for the paella; alas, it was very salty and the calamari was missing. It was so salty that we only had one or two bites. I keep telling my husband that he just shouldn't order paella in the US anymore. The manager was extremely accommodating and offered many options to help! The aperitivo board was divine. The items were bursting with flavors. My favorites were the marcona almonds, the aged manchego, and the potatas bravas. The table bread and oil were also fresh and delicious. There was another dish that I'm not sure if we ordered or if it was included, but the fish flavor was too strong for me so I passed on that. My husband enjoyed it though. I'd love to try some different menu options for our next visit.

The business was clean and there is also a bar inside. The restaurant has a large selection of wines and offers flights for purchase. The restaurant had some people dining in but they were not overly packed. Initially our server was pleasant and attentive. I got a blood orange sparkling water. It was ok. I ordered the whipped ricotta for an appetizer to share and a burger with fries for my entree. The whipped ricotta was ok. It would taste better with some sort of seasoning in it. My fries were served hot but needed some salt. I asked for my burger to be cooked well done but I was brought a burnt burger. I took one bite but it was too overcooked. I then requested that my server have my burger be cooked medium well so I didn't get another burnt burger. When my burger was brought back out, our server had me cut into my burger to make sure it was to my liking. The preparation was better but it was bland and tasted like there wasn't any seasoning on it. After this our server wasn't as attentive anymore. For dessert we got the donuts. They were served warm and I enjoyed them with the cherry sauce. I did not like the chocolate sauce that was served with the donuts.

Classy but chill, the kind of place that feels welcoming whether you're on a solo drink mission or meeting up with friends. The space isn't loud or chaotic, which made it perfect for a relaxed drink and conversation. It felt like a local hidden gem rather than a tourist trap, and that's always a plus when you're exploring a new city. The service was great from start to finish. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do! They gave recommendations, and took the time to chat and help them pick something perfect. Of course, I had to go with the espresso martini, because if a spot has it on the menu, I'm trying it. And wow, this one was good. Smooth, balanced, and truly the kind of cocktail that makes you forget you're basically drinking dessert. Not too sweet, with that rich coffee flavor front and center. Easily one of the better espresso martinis I've had in a while. Even though it was a quiet afternoon, the energy didn't feel slow or empty, just comfortable. It was obvious this place would be equally great on a livelier night, too. This is definitely a great cocktail bar that's worth a stop if you're in Raleigh.
