The studio is beautifully lit by the sun during morning classes and is very high energy. The music selection is great and each station is challenging but doable regardless of your fitness level. Parking is comped at the garage nearby. You park, then scan the QR code found on the front desk. You can also pay for street parking but that's not always guaranteed. The extra perk of this studio location is that your every close to town lake, so you can cool down by taking a nice walk after your class. Definitely recommend you check it out!

Kyle was extremely knowledgeable and inviting while walking our newbie group through what to expect. I had grown up playing competitive basketball with personal trainers and let's just just say I've been taught how to do a push up wrong my ENTIRE LIFE. Kyle not only corrected my form but my posture was also corrected along with getting my ASS kicked in the best way possible from this intro session. This gym breathes support for its members while concentrating on good to grow their clients into their strongest, happiest selves. I signed up! Going to start foundation classes this week and then ready to rock and roll into the regular classes to be my strongest, happiest self! There's no doubt this will happen with the rad staff and community laid back vibes at this solid gym.

They have two rooms for classes- one Red Room (the one I was in), and I believe the other room was for lifting only. The class size is also larger than what I am used to, which was cool. I took two classes and both were great, but Phillip's was especially awesome! Not only did he have great energy and curated a great ACL-themed playlist, but also included some facts about ACL throughout the class which was super fun! I had brought a guest who had never been to Barry's before and she even mentioned a few days later how awesome he was! Everyone at the front desk was super nice and helpful as well. I look forward to my next trip back to Barry's Austin!

I hear you but understand you can't have everything YOUR WAY! 7/13/25 an incident happened where a member kicked my waterbottle underneath the treadmill and caused me to fall off. No front desk staff member was able to resolve the issue since it takes 15 minutes for front desk to get someone to grab my water bottle and temporarily move me to another treadmill. This could have been prevented in moving me to another treadmill spot quickly than waiting for 15 minutes which wasted my class time. A Member there builled me stating it wasn't a big deal and senses it was not an issue at all and cares about himself and not for others. another instance was around this time last year when another member forced me to switch spots with them during a free class when it was sold out without checking in with front desk. These events both are reasons why I will not come back to Barry's Austin. The instructors did their duties the front desk is held at responsible for their actions not handling the situation in a professional manner. Lastly, compensating credit to say sorry has become a mental health issue to me. It's time for me to exit the Barry's Austin. Note: This negative review will stay posted. Be aware that the doors are locked until 10 mins before class starts. As soon as you arrive, you can check in on a tablet placed by the front desk, and walk down the hall to place your personal items in a cubby or locker. There are two gender neutral restrooms with personal Care items in case of any need. Before class you'll do a group stretch and after class you'll do a cool down stretch. Get ready to sweat, shake, dance challenge enjoy yourself! Great studio and great classes. Will definitely be back for a strength class and will check out the run studio once it opens!
