It has a nostalgic, classic toy/candy store vibe with both modern and classic toys, board games, candies, and sodas. Inside is a little chaotic and claustrophobic but that kind of adds to the experience. Staff members seemed friendly and helpful, based on how they were interacting with other customers. They also had some mystery boxes as well as squishy toys for sale as well. After browsing through everything, I settled for a Dad's Blue Cream Soda that the cashier was kind enough to get for me since it was on the back of the highest shelf that was out of reach for me. I've been coming to this store for years because it was always authentic, welcoming, and had friendly customer service. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was extremely disappointing. The store now seems focused on selling overhyped collectible toys at highly inflated prices. What was even more concerning is that some of these items appeared to be replicas rather than authentic products, yet they were being sold for well above their original retail value. We got 2 mini dumplings for $9 each. We got in the car and it had a hole in the bottom, sadly the store states no returns or exchanges if popped even though we just walked out. How are we suppose to know that they may be popped before opening them, where is the logic? Another frustrating experience was that certain sections of the store were closed off, and customers were only allowed to view them in groups of six at a time. This created unnecessary waiting and made the shopping experience feel restrictive. The teenagers at the cashier had us wait while they finished their conversation to charge us, full on conversation about the breaks and hot dogs. Lastly, I was charged an additional fee for using my debit card. I received a text receipt showing a total of $64.13, but when I went back to request an itemized breakdown, the printed receipt showed $61.70. When I asked about the difference, I was told it was a charge of $2.43 for using a debit card instead of cash. The lack of transparency was frustrating, especially since there was no itemized breakdown showing this charge in writing. It's disappointing to see a store that once felt genuine and customer focused move in this direction. I hope management takes customer feedback seriously and considers returning to the authenticity and service that made this place special in the first place. read more

Came to The Wishing Well for a valentines themed Jellycat, unfortunately they were sold out of the one we wanted (we even waited in line 30 minutes prior to opening!) My family and I ABSOLUTLY LOVE the Wishing Well. We've been bringing our 2 children here since 2006 I think. It's a super fun toy store and the candy and soda section that keeps bring us in. It's a family run shop and they are fun and really kind to me and both my children. My kids pick the wishing well over ice cream, the bakery or anything. If you haven't been here before its worth a stroll. You need to check every nook and cranny because the treasure and nostalgia are endless. This place reminds me of my child hood. For me the welcoming voices and banter are the best. I like that my kids FEEL as if they are coming to see old friends. That makes me feel good. I have been going to this store since I was a kid, now I take my nieces and nephews to this store to buy toys and treats. I love their soda section and little toys they have throughout the store. I'm happy they still have a puppet section since I plan to buy a few for my nieces who enjoy puppet shows. 10/10 experience the last time I have been there. "Can only sell 2 per person" "we can't sell those cause they are on display" "doing holds on phone" "oh no we don't do that" but did. Be fair and that's it. Sold out sign would be better. I am giving a 1 star because my receipt total does not reflect what my total is on my bank statement. I called to get clarification and I got a lot of "ugghs" "maybes" and I'm not sure". This was our first time there and it will be our last. I told several people about the place last night but I will be taking back the "you need to go there" recommendations. I made two purchases yesterday. The first time I was not offered a receipt. I am now questioning if I was charged correctly. The second time I was asked if I wanted one. I am still contacting DMS to make sure their practices are best practice. On a positive note the store has a lot of merchandise and the female employees were very friendly and helpful. If you still choose to go there: pay in cash, ask for a receipt and don't get a bag because they make up prices. (I was given one bag and charged for 3). Just be cautious! Today I took my 2 granddaughters shopping to buy the famous squishy some they had on the floor others they have behind the counter, The store was very busy the girls made a selection, We wanted to purchase two items behind the counter. The clerk held two of the items asked the the girls 8 & 10 which one they wanted to purchase, I told him I will take both, The girls were very excited about the new purchases when we got in the car the 10 yr old opened one items that was behind the counter. We noticed it had a small hole and white stuff came out we went right away back into the store to try to get exchange it within 1 minute the clerk that helped us hesitated mind you I just spent $96 in the store he told me he had to call the owner. I waited for them just to tell me all sales were final. My 10 yr. granddaughter was very disappointed that the $15.00 squishy she just purchased had a hole in it and now was no good. Although they did have a sign posted at the register, unfortunately there was a stuffed Labubu blocking the sign. I give the store one star unfortunately the owner lack any compassion for children and did not want to make it right & clerk did apologize he was only doing what the owner had asked him to do, My suggestion is to look thoroughly before purchasing any items at this store. read more

This is a really cute store that easily transports you back in time if you're a millenial like me or beyond. They have so many old school toys and snacks, and a lot of newer things too. We discovered this store about two years ago and we have been going back ever since. Our first time here, my son fell in love with the train set in the back and enjoyed playing there with my husband while I shopped around the store. That is when I found my son's favorite book "You Choose," and we read it every night for more nights than I can count. I've never seen that book anywhere else, and I've noticed they have a lot of unique items in general. I recently came back and bought another "You Choose" to gift to someone else and a few other goodies. My only gripe is that I wish they had a bigger selection of books. The last time I was there, the bookshelf was blocked by a rotating display of other small activity books and I could hardly access it. I had to try to get behind it in order to grab the book I wanted. And they seemed to be running low on books in general. I love the idea of shopping for books here that you can't easily find anywhere else. I would love to see a wider variety of them and have them more accessible.
