It is a quaint old school Arizona bed and breakfast with the comforts of home. Our hostess, Joy was just a treat giving us good suggestions for dinner in Apache Junction, made us feel as comfortable as could be in one of her cabins, (the tack room from the ranch). Our breakfast was in the refrigerator in our room and was banana bread, orange juice, coffee, fresh fruit, trail mix for the hike, yogurt, pretzels, really very nice. You can enjoy the front porch to watch the sunset in the west or sit on the patio behind the cabin and view the mountains to the east. There is a trail that leaves right from her property that connects to the Flat Iron trail and Siphon Draw trail. We woke in the morning to the Flat Iron right out of our window, mule deer grazing 15 feet from our cabin. For a unique, fun, pleasant, rustic experience give Mean While Back at the Ranch B&B a try....you'll like it!

This no frills quaint place is a perfect escape from any busy city lifestyle...and makes a perfect hub for hiking some of the most beautiful trails. If you haven't been by...you should stop to say hi to Joy, check out the nicknacks and collectables in the little gift shop, and take in the beauty of the desert. Just a neat and unique spot.

As we're cruising down the main street we passed The Inn Above Oak Creek and noticed they had a lit-up vacancy sign. We immediately went in and met with the inn keeper who offered to let us go see the room before we committed to booking. This is THE cutest little 13 room inn set right on Oak Creek. There is seating down by the creek, on the patio off the main room, and inside the main room itself that all have great views. Our room was very spacious with a 2-person sized bathtub and a fireplace! It had truly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in away from home. My husband was obsessed and wanting to know how we could copy it to have at home. Both of the inn managers were so kind and took such good care of us. You could feel how much they care for the inn and value their guests. There's always coffee and water set out. They have homemade cookies in the afternoon and homemade muffins in the morning. They have a bookshelf with various options for reading and a large selection of movies. On the coffee table, they have binders full of recommendations for trails and exploring the area. It was such a cute and intimate place to stay. I'd recommend it to anyone traveling to Sedona and I'd love to stay here again! We truly couldn't have found a better place to stay for Valentine's Day. We felt so lucky to have gotten a room here.

Booked the room hours before arrival with only past experiences guiding my choices. We booked a queen room with two queen beds, photos showed a fireplace as well... I mean winter in Payson Az demands a fireplace... right? Done... booked... on our way. We arrived just before dinner. Once we pulled up, you see a quaint looking mountain hotel escape with one large two story building and several connecting little cottage looking rooms. The manager who checked us in (please forgive me for forgetting his name) had been very accommodating with our requests for more blankets and a lower level room. He also recommended the local pizza restaurant for dinner within walking distance. Our room was adorable and large! Two queen beds, a couch, fireplace and large vanity area with plenty of space for four. The beds were so comfortable and with the fireplace only, left us with a very cozy evening. Almost felt like you were in a secluded cabin in the woods. Also, I won't forget to mention, breakfast was included! Eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, biscuits, and gravy... so much to choose from. My husband has decided that this will be our "go-to" in Payson from now on. Thanks Majestic Mountain Inn for making our adventure more memorable! See you next time! I apologize for not having any Photos but we were too busy taking in the ambience of this town and making memories, I didn't even think to grab my phone.

Their website boasts wonderful amenities - a beautiful deck, BBQ, pool and hot tub. Those amenities are only available to people staying for free who are friends of the owners. If you are paying for the RV spot and using the stables for the horses, do not expect to use any amenities. Previous owner provided cleaning and bedding for the horses. Current owner does not. Previous owner allowed any paying guest full access to the property. Current owner does not. If you are staying in the RV spot, watch out for cactus as they do not maintain the landscaping. Your vehicle may get scraped by brush. You can share the outdoor sitting area with the property manager - but the furniture is dirty and decrepit. The property manager lives on-site in an RV. They smoke, so if you want to use that outdoor space, you will share their smoke as well. Wifi Internet is available, but it is iffy. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Current owners are charging the same amount as the previous owners minus any hospitality. Their rates for the RV site and stables are probably one of the most expensive in the entire state of Arizona. Basically, you will be paying top dollar for bottom dollar accommodations. Current owners are delusional and very good at playing mind games. Prepare to be gaslighted on a daily basis. One day they will offer an amenity and the next day they will take it away. If you are a masochist and enjoy paying a huge amount of money to be abused, this is the place to stay. We have traveled all around the country with our horses. This is the ONLY place we have stayed where we had to fight with the owners to get our money back (He demanded payment in full upon our arrival) and the only place we have stayed where we have been harassed because we wanted to use what we were paying for.

It was a very positive experience. Holly owns this huge historic house, and she renovated it. We met Holly but had more contact with Noa. Noa's partner is Holly's cousin. Each morning Noa cooked us delicious full breakfasts. The breakfasts had quiche/frittata/flatbread made with eggs and veggies. One day we also had blueberry muffins and English muffins. There was fresh fruit salad. The breakfasts more than enough to satisfy our appetites. Noa is an excellent creative cook. See attached photos. The first morning we had breakfast in a delightful breakfast room with windows on three sides. We looked out onto lovely lush vegetation. We had our choice of coffee or various kinds of tea. I loved sitting in this room. We would arrive early, drink coffee and read the newspaper before Noa arrived to make breakfast. The next morning we had breakfast at a very large wood dining room table that could easily have sat 20 people. This room had French doors that opened into a patio with tables and chairs. When we were there a small wedding party was taking photos on one of the outdoor patios. There are additional common spaces. There was a sitting room with chairs and books on the same ground floor as the sunny breakfast room, dining room, and kitchen. There is also a small lobby one floor up on street level next to the front door. (The building is on a hill). One afternoon we went back to the sunny cheerful breakfast room and sat there to read. The on-the-street parking is free, safe and easy to obtain. The bed and breakfast is very conveniently located on a quiet street on a small hill about two blocks from downtown. For dinner we walked to the restaurants downtown on the main street. We conveniently arrived on a First Friday of the month. There was a small celebration a couple blocks away on main street. There was a band in the afternoon or early evening (which we missed) and some craft vendors and at least one food vendor. We bought some cookies there. Every guest room in this bed and breakfast is different. Our room and my sister-in-law's room were on the second floor near eachother. There were two staircases to reach the second floor, and a quaint little sitting area in between. The decor in our room was cute. Our room had two comfortable double beds. One bed had a bedside table with a foot high reading lamp. Due to space limitations the other bed did not have a bedside table or bedside reading lamp. There was a small chandelier over that bed. The room had good lighting. However, I would have liked a bedside lamp so I could read at night without disturbing my husband. Our bathroom was huge. It had both a shower and a claw foot tub. There was a sink in the bathroom and another small sink in the bedroom. We used the tub for storage. During our visit there was no ice available that I could find. The kitchen fridge had a water dispenser but the ice dispenser was broken when we visited. An appliance repair person was planned. Our room and my sister-in-law's room had individual wall air conditioners. We had the Amethyst room. We put a few sodas in the kitchen refrigerator since our room did not have a mini fridge. Management did not complain that we took up a little space in that fridge. When we eventually return to Globe, I would like to stay here.
