Right from the start, it was clear that he was on top of the job. He arrived the same day to assess the project and had shared an estimate within an hour. His pricing was reasonable and he quickly scheduled the work. He completed a very neat and quality job quickly and while keeping us updated through the process. He was readily accessible and was prompt in responding to any questions. Gadir was sincere and committed and went above and beyond on the job. First, when he visited a couple of different Lowes stores to find the specific wood we wanted for flooring and brought it to the site. After the job was complete, he fixed the garbage disposal which had a screw badly latched in. He needed to disassemble the garbage disposal to pull it out, and from looking at the screw, it was clear it wasn't one they had used. I will be reaching out to Gadir for future remodelling jobs.

He is skilled and knowledgeable and takes pride in his work. Mark took the time to read instructions and warranties on any material I purchased to assure he followed any warranty requirements. On my bathroom Mark had to deal with constant delays caused by a Vendor I had bought Solid Surface Porcelain Slabs from for my shower walls before consulting with Mark. That was MY mistake as that Vender caused many delays by being late or not even showing up or bringing the wrong materials, but Mark worked around them. It took less than one month for his team to turn my drab, uncomfortable garage into a beautifully bright sanctuary that is always the perfect temperature. My main goals were to make the garage more comfortable for my home gym, and improve aesthetics and storage options while we were at it. Baystar Garage knocked all of those goals out of the park, and it was such a breath of fresh air to have Parviz coordinating all of the details in a timely manner, as well as giving well thought out opinions on more subjective aspects. Having worked with other contractors in the past, I can safely say they are not all such a joy to work with, and I would highly recommend Baystar Garage to anyone looking to renovate this oft-neglected extension of the home. The only issues I had during this project were with the partner cabinet company, Prizmawood, which didn't meet the same lofty bar as the rest of the construction work; they had a separate contract that cost more than I feel it should, and their communication was much less consistent than Parviz's, leading to some flaws I had to follow up on to mitigate afterwards. But since this review is for Baystar Garage, it fully deserves the full 5 stars and I would definitely trust Parviz with any house projects in the future. Jan 19: Paid a $600 deposit (Total contract: $1,700). Estimated cabinet arrival was the first week of February. Feb 20: Cabinets arrived, and I notified you via text message on yelp. Feb 23: You visited to inspect the cabinets. This is when you noted they were heavy, required panel/filler trimming, and needed two extra helpers at an additional cost. I explicitly agreed to this without issue. Feb 23 - April 7: It took ~43 days to schedule a start date due to your availability/reasons etc. You mentioned helpers were unavailable on Fridays and Mondays, so I agreed to Wednesday/Thursday, April 8th and 9th. During this entire period, you never mentioned I hire another contractor to complete the job. So do not make that claim! April 7: I texted in the afternoon to confirm the time. You canceled the April 8th appointment citing family reasons. I replied, "No worries and Take care," and offered to move to April 9th or push to the following week April 8: You texted confirming arrival for 10:30 AM on April 9th, then changed it to 11:15 then 11:40 AM. Ultimately, you did not show up and texted that your van had problems. April 9 (After No-Show): I was frustrated after all this and I asked if you were still interested in this job. You replied "NO" over the call and told me to move forward with another contractor citing it requires a lot of work, extra helpers and cabinets being heavy! April 9: I requested the $600 deposit refund via Zelle and the return of the cabinet installation drawings. You stated this would have to wait until the next week. April 17: You dropped off the drawings. I gave you one week from the cancellation date to refund my deposit. May 1: From April 9th to May 1st, you just gave me dates and never made payments. After repeated calls and texts, I received only $250. You claimed Zelle had a limit and required 72 hours. May 7: Received $170. May 15: Received $100. May 19: Received $80. Would you have accepted this behavior if a customer had paid you this way after you completed a job? Please acknowledge that this experience was a complete waste of time. I am not here to defame anyone; I am simply sharing the factual experience I had with you. You may be an excellent woodworking craftsman, but that was not the experience I received!

We had a plumbing leak under our Willow Glen home which caused our oak hardwood floors to develop…read moresome "cupping" along the seams in two areas of first floor of the house. The moisture was pretty extensive under the house, and required a remediation company to come out and dry out the soil and exhaust under the house. Art was recommended by our previous flooring contractor who had "semi-retired". We gave Art a call and he responded quickly and came out to have a look about a month after the remediation company completed their work. He took some humidity/moisture readings of the floors throughout the house and recommended we give the floors another 30 days to further dry out, and he provided us with a quote to sand and refinish the entire 1st floor of our home (about 1100 sq ft). Art and his crew arrived on the specified start date right on time. They helped move out the final heavy pieces of furniture into a storage Pod out front and got to work right away. The floors took only 3 days to sand and refinish and they came out looking beautiful! They even replaced a few termite damaged pieces, and replaced 3 old metal heater registers with new oak to match the floors. I can't say enough about the professionalism and quality of the work from Art and his team. Willow Glen Floor Company will be my "go to" for any flooring needs going forward. Highest recommendation!
