I purchased a new door from WindStar that required staining and they referred me to Finishes Unlimited. I contacted them via email, and Eddy was quick to respond and provide a quote. I agreed on costs, and when the door finally came in brought them a piece to match the stain that I wanted for the door. The staining and finishing took about ten working days, but was well worth it. The door looks amazing and I've received some great compliments from neighbors on how good it looks. I was able to see their operation when I dropped off the piece for stain matching and it's pretty extensive--an added bonus is that they have an amazingly friendly shop dog that is EVERYONE'S friend. read more

Eddy and his crew were the best. They did an outstanding job on refinishing and painting our existing kitchen cabinets. The crew showed up on time each day, wore masks in respect of COVID (they also made sure the other contractors working on our house at the same time also wore their masks) and taped off the kitchen completely while they worked on sanding and painting the cabinets. Job was competed in a very reasonable time. A few days after the work was completed we received a card in the mail from Eddy thanking us for choosing them for our project. 25 plus years ago we installed beautiful cherry cabinets in our kitchen. After years of use we reached out to Eddy to re-finish them to their original glory. Eddy's team removed the door & drawer fronts for a shop finish, refinished the face frames in place and a week later put it all back together. Unfortunately a month later, cracking/checking of the finish showed up due to a reaction. The Team went thru the entire process again, stripped, re-finished and re-hung the panels - apparently some sort of residue that reacted with the finish. Eddy did all this rework on his own nickel with many apologies for the disruption - only the second finish problem in the history of his company. Additionally, we had a chipped porcelain kitchen sink - under granite mounting that Eddy re-finished in place - amazing! We wanted to give our kitchen a facelift but without the cost of completely rebuilding it and decided to keep our base framework and have all new cabinet doors and drawers. We chose Finishes Unlimited to paint the woodwork after meeting with the owner Eddie, visiting his showroom to see examples of their work and comparing the quality and price with other similar companies. Eddie was very professional from the beginning and it turned out we made exactly the right choice. We agreed a price and start date for our project and Eddie's team turned on time and got on with the job. One thing about having your cabinets repainted (spray painted to be exact) is that there is a great deal of preparation to ensure the spray doesn't go anywhere it isn't meant to go! The team spent a day and a half sealing off our kitchen area and masking every single bit of the kitchen that wasn't going to get sprayed. This may seem like a lot of preparation time but you don't want any short cuts especially if, like us, you've just had new floors laid and new counter tops installed! I had complete confidence that the job was going to be done correctly and precisely and it was. The team sanded down the old framework to remove the existing wood grain. They sprayed 2 coats of paint on the base cabinets - the cupboard doors and drawer fronts were sprayed at their shop and brought over once the base was finished. They installed all the doors and drawers and fitted all the handles. The finished product exceeded our expectations and we could not be happier with the look and feel of the cupboards. They are smooth, evenly sprayed and there was zero mess once the job was complete. The whole process took 5 days which is what Eddie quoted. The team were friendly, courteous, careful and Covid safe. We are thrilled with the facelift our kitchen has received and give top marks to Finishes Unlimited. We highly recommend them. read more

We've worked with Eddy at Finishes Unlimited several times in the past 15 years, and whenever we are in need of finishing work we pray that he is available and can fit us in. He's busy because he's really good at his craft, and that's increasingly difficult to find. We have stained cedar siding on the exterior of our house and for years, the stain would wear off and the wood would start warping after 12-24 months. We tried a variety of finishes, worked with different contractors, spent a lot of money and nothing lasted. We finally hired Finishes Unlimited, and Eddie recommended a new brand of stain. His team sanded off the old finish applied the new, and four years later, it still looks great - the color looks fresh and there's no warping! We're thrilled. First! I looked at a lot of painters before choosing Finishes Unlimited to stain all the doors for my new construction house. I really appreciated that they had all their licenses and bond information readily available even before I asked for it, unlike many others they have a real business location (not working out of their home garage), more than a few workers to ensure that the job is completed in a timely manner (most local strainers are a one man shop), and a large spray booth to ensure you don't end up with airborne contaminates in your finish (again, most just use their garage). The owners Eddie and Cheryl did an outstanding job working with me to determine what I needed, picking up the doors, prepping them for staining, matching the color sample of wood I provided, and delivering them back to my house. The end result are the doors look absolutely amazing and I am very happy with my choice to use Finishes Unlimited and hope you will be to. I would be more than happy to talk with anyone who is considering using Finishes Unlimited. I was more than a little worried because they had no reviews of any type when I was interviewing painters. read more
