My wife and I decided to take a "staycation" for our anniversary in Jupiter Beach, and The Woods was highly recommended by a friend. Very good first impression as we walked in. Bright and lively crowd with a great vibe first noticeable at the inside bar as we walked up to the hostess stand. We had 8:30 reservations, and one of the two hostesses, sweet, escorted us to our table. It was not a booth that we really wanted so we told the hostess, and she said it would be a half hour wait. FINE!!! I wanted to experience the beautiful, lively and colorful bar before dinner anyways. The bar, being the focal point of the restaurant, had TV's wrapped around and more behind it, so there was no missing any sporting event if you wanted to watch it. Beautiful decor and was packed. It seemed that everyone sitting there was not just drinking but having their dinner there as well. Very comfortable, so I understood why and if I was a local, I would do the same. The food looked fantastic, so we were looking forward to dinner. The very first menu I look at at any restaurant is the Wine List and seeing that their wine cellar at the back of the restaurant took up a whole wall (another focal point), I figured their variety of wines had to be great, and I was right. If you are a wine drinker, there are wines on the list I very rarely see all together on the same wine list. ZD Cabernet I never see, and is one of my favorites. We settled for a bottle of Oberon Cabernet, served in beautiful glasses. We started it at the bar and when our booth was ready, we took it with us. Delicious!!! Well, we got our booth alright, a large booth for 12 people, with a shadow picture of Tiger Woods on the wall at the end of the table and a TV on the opposite wall in the booth across from where we sat together and of course, there was Golf on it. Pretty roomy booth I would say. Our server came right away; a really nice gentleman, recommended some menu items and answered all our questions. Very relaxed experience. For appetizer, the Goat Cheese Patty stood right out at us and we ordered that to split. This had to be the most unusual and creative combination; pan seared Goat Cheese, with Pear Jalapeño jelly, a Pineapple salsa, with warm Crostini's to put it all together. Perfect to split and I RECOMMEND this highly. Although the menu was really diverse with so many delicious looking meat and seafood items which are pretty hard to choose from, I took the healthier route and ordered the Lobster Salad. The Lobster was poached and served over Arugala and Mixed Greens, a whole cut up Avocado, Mango and a Citrus Vinaigrette. There was no skimping on the lobster and since I love Avocado, this finished this dish off perfectly. My wife ordered the Chicken Piccata over pasta. Very big portion with three large pieces of chicken and it was large enough to barely split, so we took some back with us. There is no doubt what we ordered was all delicious, the server was spot on with timing and delightful to work with. Most of all, The Woods is all about atmosphere. If you are a football fan, this would be the place to come to watch all the Sunday games, sitting at a beautiful bar to eat and drink at your hearts content while watching anything that is on that day. Of course you won't miss the weekend's Golf Tournament. Judging a Restaurant like this is easy when you see everyone seems to be having fun and The Woods looks like it made people very happy last night. I don't want to forget to mention that active and high energized outdoor bar area that was packed as well. We've been coming here off and on for years but no more. This was the worst experience in a long time. Ordered a $34 hamburger medium rare and it came out well done, couldn't find the waitress until I got up and flagged an employee down so lousy food and worse service. The manager came over and said yep that's well done, let me tell the chef. He did comp it despite my telling him that wasn't necessary but then a couple came in with a dog that was in no way a service dog. The dog was on the bench seats and no one noticed it until I said something and instead of telling them to sit outside all they did was tell them to keep the dog on the floor. We have been coming to The Woods since they opened. Always a "go to" when we are in town from New York. While the ambiance and service continue to be 5 stars, the food has fallen off a cliff. The presentation, serving size and overall taste was terrible last night. I had fish tacos with fries. The fries were stale, not cooked. How do you screw fries up?! The tacos were as bland as can be. Most everyone at our table was disappointed with the food. Drinks were great, as was our server but Tiger or whoever is managing the kitchen needs to address this. read more

My 17 year old son and I travelled from Orlando FL for him to play in a golf tournament in Boca Raton. He was so looking forward to going to Tiger's restaurant so we did just that. On 7/22 we arrived at around 7:45pm and didn't realize that they we could have made reservations. Upon arrival we were told we could be seated at 9:10. I explained to the hostess that we were here visiting from out of town. She and the manager shuffled things around and had us seated in 4 minutes. That gesture set the tone for entire experience. The gentleman who served us very professional and answered all of our question thoroughly. The food quality was amazing, was a bit pricey, but if you want quality food you get what you pay for. There were 6 of us for dinner on a Monday night and thrle restarant was busy. I had read many reviews talking about poor service, however, our service was good. He was attentive and had no qualms giving us all separate checks. I ordered the Woods Burger without the bun. It looked kind of lonely on the plate but the burger was tasty. There was no ketchup or mayonnaise accompanyng it. I ordered the Woods salad as my side and it was very large. I had thought it would come on the plate with the burger but it took up an entire plate by itself. The balsamic dressing was very good as was the salad ,however, I thought there was way too much diced egg on it. My friends ordered salad with grilled shrimp and one wth blackened grouper. They all liked their meals but my side salad was the same size if not slightly larger than theirs. Another friend enjoyed her short rib tacos and her large side salad. Another got the chicken francese which was a decent portion and she said it was very good. The restaurant is nicely laid out and we had a long booth that comfortably seated the 6 of us. As you walk in you notice that it's certainly a well designed space with a lot of tv's, beautiful bar area and nice seating. There's a cigar case to your right as you walk in - it reeked of cigar smoke at the entrance which I didn't love as an introduction to my meal. We went on a Monday evening and it wasn't too busy, we were quickly seated and the server was quick to get us waters and menus for the evening. The wine list was fine and the cocktails looked alright. For the actual food, we tried their fries both the regular and truffle (which were just regular fries tossed in artificial truffle oil) which were satisfactory and served with ketchup. Their burger was solid, and their house salad (similar to a Cobb salad) was the best thing on the menu we had. The prime rib sandwiches were just ok. The situation was less than ideal when we ordered Medium Well and it came out Rare - they took it back immediately and seemed to just do another superficial sear on the meat, and then just put it back on the sandwich (vs. building a new one). It wasn't actually cooked on the inside to Medium Well even after they took it back so that was disappointing. Overall a pretty average restaurant. read more

If you're looking for a steakhouse that can't cook meat and is deafeningly loud, then you also found your spot. We decided to come here for lunch on this beautiful Saturday. We were seated right away at a booth/table combination which was very comfortable. I really like the ambience here. Many TVs but it definitely does not have a sports bar feel. All TVs are on the golf channel. We were greeted promptly and asked if we would like anything to drink. They do have an impressive cocktail menu as well as a large wine and beer selection. Our Server was Holly. She was dynamite. We ordered the charcuterie platter. It was a beautiful assortment of meats and cheeses. My favorite was the tartufo cheese. I also really loved the Drunken Goat cheese. It was perfect for two as a meal or a hearty appetizer. I had heard that it was overpriced so we came for happy hour and tried the flash fried calamari, chicken wings and spinach and artichoke dip. Besides being bland and served with a marinara sauce that was terrible, the calamari was undercooked and fishy. Spinach and artichoke dip lacked flavor and any hint of creaminess. Skin wasn't crisp on the wings so unless you like eating a mouthful of fatty skin... I don't! You'll want to peel off the skin leaving little to no flavor. Had dinner for Mother's Day this evening at this ultra unimpressive restaurant. For starters the valet costs $8 and you wait about 15 mins for your car. The tables were scratched up like you would find at a children's restaurant and the food was less than mediocre. I had Shrimp Scampi without any garlic or really any flavor to it at all. So really it was shrimp and pasta with an extremely bland beurre blanc sauce. My Fiancé had a very skimpy grilled grouper sandwich with a small amount of warm fries. The cocktails were small and expensive. Needless to say we won't be going back anytime soon if ever. Save your money and eat at any of the many good restaurants in the Jupiter area. Perhaps Tiger should stick to golf and get out of the restaurant business? read more

As a golfer and Tiger fan, it seemed only appropriate to eat at The Woods one night when I was in town for the NCAA Division two Women's golf championship. A party of six of us ventured in around 6 pm and were seated at a large table out on the patio. So far I was pleased. However, by the end of my experience I left rather disappointed. Our waitress, whose name has seemed to have left me, was less than friendly. She never cracked a smile and she came across as though she had never learned any manners. Usually I would look past something like this because I am sensible to the fact that waiters/waitresses have lives outside of the restaurant in which they work, and sometimes the restaurant environment is a bit chaotic. However, on this night we seemed to be the only table she was covering, and honestly showing a bit of kindness is part of the job. It would have prompted a better review and probably a more enjoyable evening. The drinks were delicious. I had the strawberry and basil margarita, which was extremely refreshing. My mother enjoyed the pineapple infusion and the lavender martini. I would rate the drinks 5/5. The menu was interesting with an array of choices and "family style" options for sides. First, my mother attempted to order a smaller portion house salad to start... but our waitress informed us that all salads were the same size, and that the size was a dinner portion. Odd. She shared with my father. I went ahead and ordered a caesar to start. It was, to say the least, interesting. It was a wedge salad with caesar essentially. I had never seen that, and learned that I was not a huge fan. A wedge salad should stick to being a wedge salad with all of its usual toppings and dressing, in my opinion. Leave caesar salads alone. I also ordered the 7oz filet mignon and my mother and I decided to share the side of brussel sprouts. For the price, I could have ordered a filet with much more flavor and taste at an Outback or Logan's Steak House. Oh well. Our waitress forgot our brussel sprouts and the rest of the sides in our party. When we finally received our side, despite the enticing title on the menu which reads " Brussel Sprouts with Bacon, Onions, and Brown Sugar," they were also bland and unappetizing. For the price of the food and the food I received, I would rate it a 2/5. To top the night off, when the checks came out all 3 checks were wrong. We tried to explain the best we could. When the new checks came back to us new items were added and more gratuity was added. This added to the frustration and the solidifying decision that I nor my family and friends would ever return. I really do not enjoy writing negative reviews, and I had solely hoped this place would blow my socks off. Maybe I came on the wrong night. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I'm not sure. I will say, if you go, get a drink at happy hour then go somewhere else for dinner. I hope Tiger Woods and his PGA Tour buddies have better experiences there than I did. read more

We made our drink orders, next round we added apps.Their calamari is good, nice cuts. The spinach and cheese dip was as well. We enjoyed our cocktail hour, no rush to turn the table at all. Our entrees were ordered, steaks, ribs, twin tails, some sides as well. As far as the sides, they are ala carte. Not everyone realized that and wouldnt have ordered. Perhaps the caveat, the entrees are ala carte would you like to add a side?, would be nice. The dishes all came out hot and together. The ribs were a hit, the steaks inhaled, the twin tails, meh. A little tough, for the $$ kinda disappointed. A cocktail/horseradish was asked for, never showed up. The sides were all good, but the brussel sprouts, no. I ordered them, my scale goes from the 1960s boiled sprouts my mom made (RIP) to the epitome of sprouts prepared by the chefs at Hullabaloo. The Woods sprouts were a hair above the 1960 version, the bacon bumped them up a notch. I could have railed but no. We had a great dinner, the company kept makes up for short comings. Took a ride to Jupiter today just to get out in the beautiful weather. Looking for a place to have a late lunch where there was plenty of social distancing and outside dining. We ended up at The Woods. My first impression walking in the door to only see three people sitting at the bar and two people sitting outside was a little alarming. But hey, no crowd. Staff was slow getting to our table. We each ordered a drink and the spinach dip appetizer. Drinks were good. Spinach dip on a scale of 1 to 10, 1. A mound of what appeared to be mozzarella cheese on top of a pile of spinach. Terrible!!! Waiter apologized and took it back. As for our meal, my husband ordered the Woods burger and I had the crab/lobster cake sandwich. Hamburger was overcooked, but edible And crab/ lobster sandwich was good. My only issue with the crab/lobster sandwich was it was supposed to come with a "warm mustard sauce". Instead, it was served with a cold Dijon mustard. My shrimp was not cooked- there's no mistaking it - they were still translucent. My husband's lobster and crab cake sandwich had neither lobster nor lump crab meat. I went here for a small work dinner on a Monday night. It was nice and peaceful inside, and the service was good. I was the only vegan, so I was super happy to learn they have a separate vegan menu! It's mostly just salads veganized, but I had the pasta entree which was nice. I felt included and glad I got to enjoy a meal as well as the meat eaters. The truffle fries with no cheese were yummy! I love Jupiter and all it has to offer, we frequent Juno beach and Dive Bar has been our favorite restaurant to visit while in town. The Woods bar on its own is worth visiting and the dining looked excellent from afar. We enjoyed dirty martinis and east coast oysters throughout the evening and our friend was left asking for the oyster tag for the exact location as he was so impressed with the oysters on that day.
