I was bowled away by my experience with The Works - Josh and Chris redefined going above and beyond. My need was different - I was looking at buying a car that had damage from a previous accident and wanted to get a good body shop to check it out before I decided on buying it. I called The Works and reached Josh. I'd never worked with them before, but Josh asked me to send over pics of the car, he went through them, taking me through his analysis in detail - and I hadn't even booked a service with them. Also, I had to make a decision within a day on the car and I wanted to get it checked at a body shop as well as do a full mechanical PPI. Josh couldn't fit me in, so I thanked him for his guidance and told him over email that I will find another body shop because I couldn't wait. Josh asked me for the details of the mechanical PPI, and guess what, when I was doing the mechanical PPI, Chris turned up! Chris was such an expert and did a great analysis and was even able to show me where the work had been previously done. This was so helpful! The thing that struck me the most was that both Josh and Chris really cared that I made the right decision! The fact that they took time, for someone who wasn't even a current customer speaks volumes. I brought my Mercedes in to fix my bumper that was hit. I got an estimate from the dealer but took it over to The Works. They were 30% cheaper and fixed it within a week. Just about at ANY given time that I visit The Works I will see exotic cars like Ferraris, Lambos, Porsche, etc. I've had them do 4 of my cars & truck: 1993 RX7 1993 NSX 1998 S10 2005 GTO 2013 MX5 and my brother's 2004 RX8 EVERYTIME the work exceeds my expectations. As a matter of fact I'm more worried about the repainted/re-worked area not only looking newer, but better from the factory as if that's how the car should have come outta the factory if they had unlimited budget. Here are the key take-aways: - No overspray (they use this water-soluble protective spray that covers the entire car to prevent "overspray" that happens at the lessor body shops) - No tape marks/texture - They even match the factory "orange-peel" or smooth glass finish. - They paint the metallics so well that there are no need to blend into perfect panels (saves costs) I've sent friends and even some VERY anal-retentive car owners of some fine cars and have yet to hear a complaint about The Works. read more

this time it was a new '11 Golf TDI that got front end caved in up to engine block. Since it was only 30 days old early in the model year, parts were a bit hard to procure and some of them were faulty repeatedly, but the guys got all the issues squared away, got the wiring figured out, again a brand new model made things a challenge. Paint and panel alignment are perfect. Process took about double the time of the original estimate, due to parts issues, but it was done right and that's what is important. I think the strength here is the quality of workmanship. There isn't anything these guys can't do when it comes to metal and paint. read more

My car got rear-ended recently - only gouged up the bumper itself with the perpetrator's license plate hardware, but still enough to make me depressed about my otherwise-pristine M3 I had shipped from a Midwest dealer. I was even more dismayed when insurance would not pony up for a brand new bumper, but instead for reconditioning and repainting my existing bumper. I shouldn't have worried - the refinished bumper looks good as new, and I can't tell at all that anything ever happened. Josh was very helpful throughout the whole process, and using insurance went smoothly. The car was ready in a reasonable amount of time as well, which is good given my separation anxiety when it comes to my car. I hope I don't have to use a body shop again anytime soon, but if I do, I will feel safe with my beloved car in the hands of The Works! read more

When I read another review on here I had to write my own. I have to disagree with the quality of the body work and welding. When I received my car back the welds were not clean. The painters shot clear coat in trunk, only in the repaired area. The result was two different sheens that made the repair even more obvious. Micromarring on top of the roof, clearcoat (this area needed no repair). My theory is something was placed on top, maybe a mug who knows. Finally, the muffler was not aligned. The paint job on the bumper itself was quite nice (glasurit, the best). Although they do work on high end vehicles I believe the quality of work is not the same for vehicle less than 100k. read more

I can't thank Josh and crew for their efforts on my 2017 Audi RS7. The damage from the accident wasn't severe, but it was located in a very difficult area around the gas cap opening, back door and rear quarter panel. All needing replacement. The paint was a metallic with varying hues of color. It was very difficult to paint. They knocked it out of the park. The car was perfect when returned and detailed. The best repair I've ever had. My PorscheCayman passenger fender required some repairs as someone reversed into my car. I wanted to go to a reliable shop and this was recommended by planet-9 forum. Chris the owner recommended that the fender be replaced rather than repaired which the ins co had insisted on. Chris was able to persuade the adjuster the cost of fixing the dent was going to be able the same cost as replacing the fender. My wife was involved in a bad rear end accident recently. My good friend recommended to take my car to Chris and Josh at Works Autobody. I took it to them purely on Recomendation and had not heard of them prior. I am so glad I took it there. They fine tooth combed the damage and took the entire rear end apart. The car that hit us sprayed battery acid all over my car which was hard to notice. Chris eventually worked with my Farmers insurance ( not a fan of farmers insurance) and got them to agree to pay for all damages as well as repainting of my car. Josh kept me up to date on the status of the car and worked with the insurance guys to get everything taken care of. Great team of folks to work with and the end quality was fantastic.
