I had been to the Concord location, I didn't realize that this was a chain. To be honest, I love this bagel chain and wish I had one near me in Massachusetts. Or at least one in Nashua. Anyways coffee was good, service is pretty much like any café where you order then there's another counter space where you pick up food. I had breakfast at another restaurant that day, but a friend couldn't finish their bagel sandwich. I was more than happy to take it as the food is delicious here. Did I mention coffee was good? It's delicious. I drink black most of the time, and the coffee is fairly smooth here. Plenty of tables and chairs, but the space was kind of odd for a layout and a little cluttered. The gal taking orders was so sweet to an old guy and when I asked her for ketchup she said I needed to get container from servers and I just thanked her. Not very impressed with my egg, as they are all made in a circular scramble... maybe they Are Pre made and frozen. I was given a light and fluffy disc which didn't remind me of any eggs I had ever eaten. I requested my toasted bagel on the side. One of my favorite bagel places in New Hampshire! Their signature works bagel is the best! It is an everything bagel with a little salt mixed in, that with cream cheese is just delicious! In Keene on vacation this week. Walking downtown Main Street we came across this cafe which was very busy. (we thought) for a Saturday at 2pm. Didn't want a big lunch so we ordered a cheddar cheese bagel extra cream cheese and small serving of Mac and cheese to share. We waited a bit to order and then receive our food but not terribly long. Most staff are young and showed a bit of IMPATIENCE with the 55+ guests which we are. So NOT pleased by THAT. When my hubby went up to "pick up" area before our food was ready the surly boy behind counter said why don't you go sit down and wait with "bratty tone" which we Do NOT appreciate. So the bagel and Mac & cheese were pretty good and hit the spot. But we could have done WITHOUT the side order of attitude. read more

Grew up in Keene so The Works used to be a Sunday morning tradition. I still always stop in when I'm in town to visit, but I think it's gone down hill. The employees are usually rude and the last three times I've gone in my order has been messed up. After my most recent order I tried to point out that my order was wrong and just got a blank stare in response so I just took the food and left. If I'm paying almost $20 for 2 bagels I would hope they're made correctly.
