We love supporting local businesses, however, this business gets 2 stars for dishonesty. They charged more than they advertised on their menu board. The board says $5.25 for an Iced Honey Lavender Latte, but we were charged $6.25 plus $.75 cents for ice, so it was $7.00 for an Iced honey Lavender Latte instead of $5.25. Fancy little coffee shop at the beach! Lots of cool shark teeth on display and some unique smoothies and coffee options. Prices were higher but my lavender and honey latte was very delicious. They had good looking sandwiches in the case but I only got the latte. The place was really busy and staff was working hard getting orders out. read more

As a barista, I'll give it 3 stars. The staff was super nice but the coffee itself wasn't what was expected. The latte they made seemed like they refrothed the milk and also made it so hot it burnt my tongue. With that said the milk tasted a bit burnt. To top it off - lol- they didn't fill the latte up all the way. The latte was poured an inch less from the rim, which is a lot when it comes to a 12oz cup. They got drinks out fast but it wasn't worth the rush. I'd rather wait 10 more minutes and be happy than leave in 5 minutes sad I wasted $6. Cool vibes tho. Shark bait hoohaha. read more

Very cute shop in Wrightsville! Very pricey, about $2 more than I would pay at Starbucks but I do recognize it is a local shop. Inside they have very cool decor with shark teeth! The baristas were very friendly and quick when handling the rush. Overall I did not really like the taste of their coffee, especially for the price it was, so I do not think i'll come back very often. It is a very small shop with not much inside seating. The music was very loud so I would not recommend it for someone looking for a quiet spot. read more

This place is so friendly and has amazing customer service. We stopped in for coffee after watching the sunrise on the beach, and I was delighted to see a pistachio frappe on the menu. The sandwiches are made ahead and stored in the food case and they pop them in the panini press as ordered. It's a short walk from the main entrance to Wrightsville beach. Checked this place out over the weekend for the first time and was really impressed. The layout of the shop and location is amazing. Super close to Wrightsville beach and the sound side. The staff is super friendly and service was quick. I loved the shark tooth necklaces they had available for purchase. My friend and I purchased smoothies which were delicious and super fresh. The Workshop differentiates itself by offering some amazing smoothies, fresh healthy sandwiches and megalodon fossil necklaces along with some of the best tasting coffees and teas in ILM. Who doesn't want a shark tooth with their latte? The space is small, clean with rustic hip decor. Tall tables with stools that fit about 20 people comfortably. 2 walls are filled with shark teeth jewelry and big megalodon fossils. There is a TV that plays surfing videos. There is also outdoor seating which is perfect on those beautiful beach days. It's just a block from the sand- so you can get your coffee and a beach sunrise if you are an early riser. The staff is super nice & helpful. They love being at work (that makes all the difference). You will always find customers in the shop working, studying or sipping their drinks. It's a popular gathering spot. I've enjoyed the hot chocolate, iced coffee with almond milk, and lattes. However, the smoothies are a game changer. The Kale smoothie has pineapple, mint, banana, coconut oil, almond milk, and dark chocolate chips. It's the best combo I've ever tasted and really filling. The Red Tide is packed with strawberries, raspberries blueberries, bananas, coconut, fresh basil & apple juice- so much fruity goodness. These smoothies are big- and really could serve as a meal replacement. The food offerings include a Cubano, Veggie Pesto Sandwich, Lox topped Bagel, Brie & Carmelized Onion Flatbread and Spinach, Cheese and Chicken Quesadilla. Oh- and they have AVOCADO TOAST!! If you find yourself near Wrightsville Beach, get a coffee and a sandwich from The Workshop. It will make your day. My friend and I recently went to Wrightsville Beach. We stayed at Station One which was conveniently located right across from this takeout restaurant. We ate breakfast here every day. You walk in to place your order and then take it to go. They share a nice outdoor seating area with a lunch place. Since we were always eating breakfast, tables were always available. Everything is heated on a panini press so I highly recommend the Prosciutto Mango Toast. It is open faced so the prosciutto gets a nice crisping from the panini press. They have a huge variety of teas and coffees and will customize to your liking. I loved the Chai Latte. Wrightsville Beach is doing a great job of taking safety measures to make you feel safe. So much so, that I emailed their Mayor, Darryl Mills. I will definitely visit again next year. read more

Not too sweet and I appreciated that they put a few coffee ice cubes in it to keep it from getting too watered down. The wrap was out of this world! It was so decadent! it had turkey, arugula, brie, and what seemed like caramelized onion jam. Just the perfect sweet and savory combination served on naan bread. Wow. This place is everything I want in a coffee shop! Amazing coffee, great food, good music and friendly staff. Audrey is the owner here and, let me tell you, she will make you feel right at home! She acts like she has known every customer for years. I ordered a cold brew with coconut and vanilla flavorings + some cream. It was just sweet enough and the coffee was not a tad bit bitter. To make my coffee even better...they have coffee ice cubes so it didn't get watered down which was fantastic. I also got a ham and cheese breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. They offer a variety of toppings you can add (I added spinach and onion) which made this toasted beauty 10x better. This is the best place to go to start your morning off right! When we visit again, this will definitely be a place we come! We only wish we had more places like this at home. read more

I'm an absolute sucker for a business that has a big, clumsy, sweet, and lumbering dog as a greeter so I was thrilled to check out the Workshop. A friend of mine had been raving about this place for a while so after surfing this am suggested we go for coffee. We were immediately greeted by Audrey, the owner, who is just delightful and happens to make an amazing cup of coffee. The Workshop is a hip little space with metal bar stools and wood pallet like walls. It's a bit dark and industrial but extremely cozy and gets a ton of natural light. Audrey and her boyfriend are divers, and the walls are flanked with sharks teeth that they've collected on their dives. She has some serious megladon teeth as well as jewelry for sale. There is a full coffee bar as well as muffins, croissants, and smoothies. I tried a Tower smoothie (chocolate milk, banana, frozen yogurt, granola, and I can't recall what else), which was delicious and a shot of espresso, which was equally as good. There were about six more smoothies, all of which looked really good, but not in a typical strawberry/banana type way. I'm talking hemp seeds, dates, etc. I'll just have to head back and try another one. She's going to start making gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and Cuban coffees as well (geeeee!!!!) which will be fantastic. Prices were reasonable and similar as other coffee shops.
