    Bulgogi Kimcheeseburger Burger

Casual and comfortable, with an extensive drink offering and simple yet great food. Stopped by The Wren for lunch and got: - Big Ol' BBQ Bowl: I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be one of the best pub dishes I've had in the city. The pork belly is tender, the soda pop sauce gives it a delightful sweet/savoury taste, and the side picnic salad adds a freshness to dish. Definitely try this! - Bulgogi Kimcheeseburger Burger: Pretty good, though seemed a bit like other good cheeseburgers. Would have liked more of the bulgogi and kimchi slaw. - Chocolate Stout Cake: Great end to the meal. The cake itself was a tad dry but the side dulce de leche and whipped cream complemented it really well. Overall, can see why this is a popular pub (and I don't even drink). Will be back for more of their food!

COZY PUB WITH EXCELLENT SERVICES! We came here for dinner on a weekday evening after work. It's casual atmosphere serving comfort food, so it's a nice place to relax a bit after a long workday! They have a good selection of craft beers, and the cocktail is quite decent too! The burger was a pleasant surprise! It's a veggie burger (can't remember its name) that was recommended by our server. I was hesitant at first (since I rarely chose veggie burger), and I'm glad I listened! The flavor is well balanced - refreshing on one hand, and rich at the same time.

Last Sat. 3 friends and I stopped in at The Wren as part of what became a Danforth Bar/Pub Crawl. We arrived around 5:30 - 6 pm, at which time it was semi-crowded inside but with tables still available so we were seated right away. One of my friends ordered drinks to share and all 3 of us ordered food; I chose Guacamole & Chips (photo below) which although not a large portion considering the price, was very flavourful. We had prompt and friendly service and I quite enjoyed the 3 beers we shared as they were all exceptional in quality and a wide variety in terms of different flavours. This venue has never disappointed me when it comes to their food and drink options as well as the service, therefore I continue to recommend it as a worthy place to check out.

The service was top notch. It was packed in there on a Friday night and the staff was super friendly and talkative with us. Our food was good nothing to complain or get excited about. But the The mozzarella sticks were some of the best we've ever had. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the hood.

Great spot to kick back and relax on the Danforth. It's a pretty big restaurant, and they've added a makeshift patio out in front. We ordered a bunch of things to share: - the honey gojuchang wings were delicious. Crispy to perfection, flavourful and juicy all in one bite. Could definitely eat a plate of these. - vegan Crunchwrap supremo. It was ok, nothing special. - the special of the day, which was a chicken/rice dish. A tad bit salty for me, but overall it hit the spot. Their menu changes a lot so check IG as that's where they post it. I love when a place keeps a few favourites on the menu but experiments with new ideas - it keeps it fresh and interesting. The servers are really nice and will give you recommendations if you need drink options. Parking is on the street.

Delicious. Elevated and creative bar food. First time here and not sure what took me so long. Service was excellent and server had great drink recommendations. I ended up going with the ginger beer with lime juice. So refreshing !! Also, fries are perfectly made. Crunchy and seasoned well. Place was packed on a Wednesday night and it took us about 1 hour to be seated but I can't complain. Happy to see business buzzing and the food made up for it. Everything on the menu seems to be a creative twist on your standard fare. Will be back !

After seeing lots of yummy pics from The Wren on IG, we finally tried this place out. All we can say is Go, Go, Go! The food is great, service is friendly and lots of outside tables. They really have some innovative options plus specials each day. The quality of the food is high as well. Lots of interesting micro brew options, plus ciders, coolers and whiskies. We had the wings to start, OMG - a must have! We then had the fish tacos and the Uncle Buck burger. (Our friends had the Smash burger and chicken sandwich). Food was excellent all around. Do check it out. Parking is street parking which because of patio is either east or west of the location on the north side. Location is around the corner from Monarch Park. PS they had great looking chocolate cake but we just didn't have room! Next time!

This place was amazing!!! Delicious, fresh, great portions and excellent staff. From ambience to dessert. Well deserved 5 stars! We will be returning soon!

One of the worst food I've had in 2023 not a great place to start I heard good things about this place I'm so disappointed Ted I had the short ribs with polenta, it had no flavour at all does this place know what salt is maybe they should use it, and it is a tremendous rip off portion size small and they're charging more than 20 dollars per entree it didn't look like the pictures I seen on yelp and their menu changes from time to time, this menu looked horrible, the short ribs were disgusting, and my mom ordered beef rang dang this place should never cook Malaysian food because they're bad at it, presentation looked like what I cook at home why would I pay for that, these people are thieves they are misleading people they don't know how to cook basic stuff, I advise people to never come here unless they want to waste their hardware money, they should take a culinary 101 course on how to cook,

During happy hour, my pregnant wife wanted to order the cheeseburger special that included a beer or glass of wine. She asked if she could substitute the alcoholic drink for a fountain drink instead, but our server was very firm that no substitutions were allowed. What made it even more confusing was that the hostess at the front was incredibly kind and proactive, offering a non-alcoholic alternative to the complimentary champagne. Because of that, it felt odd that swapping an alcoholic beverage for what would likely be a less expensive fountain drink wasn't possible. The food was good, as always, and we still enjoyed our meal. It was just the rigidity around such a simple request that took away from the overall experience. Especially as we were celebrating our last date night before our new baby arrived. Hopefully it's something the restaurant considers in the future, especially for guests who are pregnant or simply don't drink alcohol.
