They have such a cute setup. I love the trailer & the little seating area. Anything with string lights is a hit for me. As for the main bit - the ice cream. I got the coffee Oreo & chocolate peanut butter swirl. The coffee flavor was strong but there was lots of Oreo that balanced it out. The chocolate peanut butter was a miss for me - the chocolate was a little bitter and the peanut butter wasn't my favorite. There also just wasn't as much peanut butter as I would have liked. My husband got the maple walnut and he thought it wasn't as sweet as it should have been. He wasn't a fan and while he might try another flavor, he's not impressed. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to get ice cream here. But if I was already going to Wright's Dairy farm, I might treat myself to more coffee Oreo if I was in the mood. read more

The airstream that changes location! When I came it was near Blount Clam Shack. We got some ice cream after our lobster rolls on the water. I played it safe and got mint chocolate chip on a sugar cone. The mint had a good taste, there wasn't too much chocolate pieces as I would like, but the ones I got was quality and delicious! read more

Wright's has the whole curbside delivery thing down to a science. Since we were there for a dairy and bakery order, we decided to try out their ice cream shop as well. Just a few minutes after ordering , delicious ice cream was brought to our car. I opted for the Coffee Oreo sundae. It came well packed in a container and loaded to the top. The flavor was fresh and creamy. Overall a great experience and I can't wait to go back again soon! read more

Love how they are doing curbside ordering/pickup and keeping people in their vehicles during these times of uncertainty! So orderly and very quick! The lot was pretty full and our online order gave us a 4 minute wait time for 2 sundaes, and they came out quicker than that! Everything was packaged so neatly too, the sundae was inside of another quart sized container with a cover! No room for anything to spill or tip over! Great packaging! Seeing as they are currently doing Christmas in July, I of course went with their Christmas in July Sundae... 2 scoops of ice cream, (I chose Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough), with chunks of brownie pieces, hot fudge, whipped cream and crushed candy canes on top! mmmmm it was SO good! HANDS DOWN THE BEST ICE CREAM IVE EVER HAD. And I don't want to brag or anything, but I *am* a qualified ice cream judge. (RI Food Fights has allowed me to live into my lifelong calling.) Traditionally, I'm more of a gelato girl, but that's a separate category. So in keeping with the contest, and all the ice cream I have ever eaten in my life, none has compared to this. Best flavor, consistency, texture- it's creamy, it's not too frozen and not too melty: it is the Goldilocks of ice cream. JUST RIGHT. I had the black raspberry chip (be still my heart! I have heard about Wright's for years and we finally went here this past week. The setup is cute, with an Airstream and canopy with 4 or so tables plus more on the hill on the other side of the parking lot. However, I think the ice cream is over-hyped. Also, they claim to be the only cow to table ice cream in RI, but Blackbird Farm in RI also makes ice cream. I asked for a sample of compost cream but it was very icy. The coffee Oreo was delicious and very different from what I've had elsewhere. However, my husband tried the strawberry sorbet and said it was too seedy and the raspberry sorbet was too soft and not very good. I might get the coffee Oreo again once they open in Providence as part of a trip to New Harvest, but would not go out of my way to get ice cream. read more

Yummy ice cream spot that's located behind the bakery in a cool Airstream trailer. There are a few picnic tables scattered about to sit and enjoy the ice cream. The smell of cow dung hits you pretty hard at first but then you get past it. The ice cream options are great and they always have new flavors as a result of their batch testing efforts which is always fun! There are options for chocolate waffle cones as well chocolate whipped cream. My favorite was cow cake and chocolate peanut butter brownie. So good!! The mini is a great size for toddlers. read more

The Wright Scoop is an OUTSTANDING little ice cream truck to the side of Wright's Dairy. The flavors are limited and the menu may be on the small side, but you won't find better homemade ice cream anywhere else nearby. Seriously, their ice cream is fresher than that prince from Bel Air. My favorite is probably the black raspberry oreo, which is packed with oreos and rich raspberry flavor. Nearly every time I visit, I opt for their homemade waffle cone, which is crispy and delicious and I think only costs a buck more. A small size is PLENTY in a waffle cone, and I'm puzzled by the reviews which say the portions are small because I've experienced the exact opposite. They also offer delicious sundaes, many of which utilize the delicious baked goods from next door. I know they have a brownie sundae which uses giant chunks of their homemade brownies. The whipped cream they use is also homemade and scrumptious! I highly recommend The Wright Scoop for your ice cream cravings!! They take cash and cards and there is plenty of parking as well. This ice cream is my favorite. Specifically the window in Warren. The ice cream (I got s'mores) does not have a huge s'mores flavor but almost a hint with pieces of cake and marshmallow in it. Instead of your traditional topping they have homemade I.E m&m cookie crumble. Yum yum ! They also sell gift cards. First time coming here but it might not be the last. I have been seeing a lot about them on social media so I decided to finally check them out. I am impressed by how authentic their ice cream is--they milk their own cows! I also appreciate how they are always changing their flavors and introducing very unique options. For example I ordered the sweet corn blackberry swirl and it was SO good. I thought it tasted a lot like Atol de Elote (please look this up if you've never had it) so it was a very nostalgic flavor for me. But I could also compare it to corn flavored condensed milk. I did not get a strong sense of the blackberry flavor but I'm sure it was there somewhere. I got this in a birthday cake waffle cone and it thought it was pretty good but not too much different in taste from your traditional sugar cone. They have a lot of parking and picnic tables so it's a very comfortable place to relax at. We paid $18 for 3 small 1 scoop cones (1 sugar cone and 2 waffle cones). Although it may seem expensive I thought it was worth it considering the 4 day process that goes into them making their ice cream. Would definitely come again! read more

They've limited the amount of ice cream choices being offered, but still have a great selection. The coffee oreo is better than I had remembered! Good concept and I love that the ice cream is homemade using fresh milk from the farm. However, the portions are incredibly small for what you pay for. Everything is overpriced. You are better off just going into the bakery and buying a pint. I usually get coffee oreo, which is good but does not have many oreos. One thing that's good - the employees are quick, efficient, and able to handle the large amount of people that tend to line up. Overall, this is decent homemade ice cream but not my top choice. read more

An unassuming little trailed tucked neatly behind Wright's Dairy Farm, the Wright Scoop is as friendly, homey, and delicious as you'd expect. The Ice Cream is very rich, absent of crystals, and plentiful in even the kiddie-sized servings (which are an impressively low price for homemade ice cream. The aesthetic of the scene is very simple, and there's something very nice about that. Strung lights are hung around the front of the trailer, making your night time ice cream venture very pleasant. Fillings in the ice cream are very generous (think: Ben n' Jerry's), with the Milk n' Cookies in particular being chock full of cookies and creamy bits. The texture is what pulls the whole ice cream experience together, as the richness and fulness of the ice cream really complement and alleviate the generous mix-ins. read more

This Icecream was so good! To start off, the trailer and little patio is adorable. Not too much seating, but there's many more tables across the lot (just not as cute). They take credit cards and the prices are very reasonable (4 scoops between the 2 of us was about $11). Now on to the good stuff, the coffee Oreo was amazing!! The Oreo was so moist and had huge pieces, and the coffee was smooth and flavorful. I also tried unicorn just because it sounded fun. It was a little too busy for me, I could have done without the sprinkles, but again the cookie was so moist. It's like a cake pop kind of moist, when a lot of companies just used crushed cookies so it's definitely better. My husband had raspberry Oreo and blueberry crumble and devoured it before I could even try. I can't wait to come back and try out some more of the flavors! There are only two negatives I can say about The Wright Scoop... #1, they aren't open year round!!! And #2, sometimes you're a little downwind from the cows... but come on. It's a dairy farm. It's to be expected!! And well worth it. My family and I went multiple times over the past summer and tried many of their flavors. All of them are creamy and delicious!! And not to mention fresh... They offer rotating flavors so if you have a hard time making decisions quickly like me, I'd suggest going to their website before going to order! In the winter Wright's offers a test club with weekly pints, if you live close by and love ice cream, I'd strongly suggest joining it. It's fun and gets you through the winter :) In the summer it's neat to see which flavors make the menu from the test batch too. read more

We just enjoyed a great dish of ice cream at The Wright Scoop. One Maple Walnut and one Blueberry Crumb Cake. There were several young people working, like 5 kids, and we watched them while we enjoyed our ice cream. They were all friendly and hard working. A few kids were wiping tables, emptying trash, wiping down canisters inside, etc. It was great to see smiling, friendly young people working hard and chatting with each other between customers, all while cleaning or refilling or whatever. I grew up going to Wright's Dairy Farm and had the chance to check out two of their Scoop Shop nights last summer, and enjoyed it so much. I was thrilled to see when they announced earlier this year that The Wright Scoop would be their new extension. I loved the unicorn sundae that they featured last summer, so had to try the Unicorn ice cream. The ice cream is so creamy and you can really tell that they use real and fresh ingredients. This is a place in the backwoods of the middle of no where - this place a little hidden treasure that few know about. Their ice cream is definitely top notch, and this is coming from someone whose tried most places in RI. New to ice cream making...Wright's Dairy Farm, makes what I would consider Super Premium Ice Cream.we tried 6 different flavors. Their flavor selection is somewhat limited. They do not make their own cones. Cute trailer converted into food truck ice cream stand. Ice cream uses baked goods from their bakery. Ice cream base is extremely creamy. The negative was the mint ice cream, tasted like spearmint gum. I would never get that flavor again. read more

Black raspberry chip was on top so I will start with that. Very pretty purple color. Nice chip size. Soooo creamy. My mouth is watering while I type this. Oh so I should give them four stars because they don't have sugar free ice cream but the ice cream that they have is absolutely amazing. I am trying to diet and I have been doing really well in avoiding the bad things but there was not a chance that I was going to do that here. We were socially distanc6e while waiting to order in while waiting for ice cream which made me feel safe and that is so important to me. I went up to order and found out there was nothing that was sugar-free but they had this Ginger flavored sorbet kind of thing that was absolutely amazing. I love Ginger and I think it was with orange and it was just perfect and it actually felt like it was good for me even though it probably wasn't. And Mike had a sundae. They didn't have caramel which he likes and they didn't have M&M's which he loves but he managed to suffer through a hot fudge sundae that was delicious. Great ice cream in a great location.
