This was our first time coming here after passing it for almost a decade. I'm kicking myself that I never came here before. Oh my God, they have the best cakes ever! We got a chocolate killer slice of cake of vanilla and a chocolate peanut butter cake! These were bursting with flavor and so moist and fresh with a perfect amount of frosting! A very spacious bakery with a very nice attentive staff that answered all of our questions. Ice cream stand was not open today which was a little bit of a disappointment, but we will definitely be coming back again! We've been in RI for quite a few years now and have never been to Wright's Dairy farm. First stop was to try their ice cream served from a trailer in the side yard, to the left of the market. With about a dozen options we had no problem selecting our choices. The ice cream is sweet and creamy with plenty of flavor. Next up, we explored their market. Gift items, pantry items, grab 'n go cakes, muffins, pizza strips and sweet snacks, milk, cheese, ice cream containers. Lots of sweet treats in the display cases too. We ended our visit with a visit to the cows and milking barn. We were too early to see the milking process but we did walk the little trail where kids can participate in a scavenger hunt. Get supplies in the tractor mailbox at the beginning if the path. A few heifers are penned up outside the milking barn and several more were standing in front of a huge fan at the back. At 90° even the cows want a fan! There's a good amount of parking in front of and to the left of the market. Handicap spots are right by the market door. This bakery and dairy are one of the true gems in the greater Woonsocket area. I have enjoyed this bakery since a kid, especially their cream puffs (featuring fresh dairy cream). They have many other amazing pastries, breads and cakes. I have never been disappointed. The staff always patient and helpful despite how busy they are. As this is also a dairy, they have available their milk. The maple milk (available in small bottles) is remarkably fresh and flavorful - highly recommend. Their ice cream is also available to take out. In the warmer parts of the year there is an onsite ice cream stand run outside in an old camper - charming! Our whole family got together recently for the first time in a long time and we wanted a cake with all the names who had birthdays so far this year, and we wanted a delicious cake! Of course we headed to Wrights Bakery!! The first young gentleman who waited on us told me there was no way to fit all the names on the cake and maybe we should get the large chocolate chip cookie cake so we could fit the names on it :( but I really wanted cake and a cookie didn't sound like it would take its place. Finally he suggested he ask someone with more experience and she said she could fit the 5 names on!!! Yay! It's been 10 years since I have been here. I feel it is still amazing!! Great products and great service! While the staff is different, they are still so kind, friendly and efficient. My favorites still are: - Pecan Sticky Buns - Declious dough and caramelization - YUM - Eccles Cakes (fruity, flaky pastry - SOOOO GOOD) - Magic Bars - YUM - Coconut Bars - YUM - Fruit hand pies - My favorite is blueberry - Vanilla Cupcakes with chocolate frosting - perfection - Blueberry muffins - love them!! When looking for a sweet treat I love heading to Wright's. They have the tenderest cakes and delicious flakey crust on their pies. The bakery is your typical bakery. It isn't very large and it can get crowded, but service is always great. Thanksgiving pickup is a whole different kind of experience, but they are a well oiled machine and year after year I've never had to wait that long. Parking is a challenge during the holidays, but they have extra help guiding drivers to parking spaces. Such a fun place to visit! I've had some pretty good treats here over the years, I remember their chocolate chip cookies being good. This time I had the lemon blueberry cupcake which was 1. Huge and 2. Delicious! The cream cheese frosting and the cupcake flavor were so amazing. I also finally tried their coffee milk, which was great! It wasn't too sweet either, it had a great balance. It was also Christmas in July when I went, so they had some holiday special bakery treats and fun summery santa cupcake toppers. So cute! The staff is also always super friendly, there's a decent-sized parking lot, and there's dairy cows to look at. It's not a cafe or anything- it's a bakery- so there's nowhere to sit and eat at the farm but you can always munch away in your car. They sell plenty of baked goods and dairy products in the store. I stopped by late afternoon on a weekday and was pleasantly surprised by how much of a selection there still was and the shop was quite busy. Several of the items I got were half off due to being a day old but that did not at all detract from the quality. I got a slice of killer chocolate cake, strawberry shortcake, a pink champagne cupcake and shortbread cookies. The cakes were all moist and the strawberry shortcake was one of the best I've ever had. The cookies had just the right amount of crunch and were quite tasty. The only drawback I can think of was that the chocolate cake was a pretty small slice for almost $8, the cupcake and shortcake were a much better value. I have been a long time fan of this bakery and can't see myself stopping anytime soon. I recently ordered a custom cake for my daughters birthday. It was delicious and turned out beautiful. You do need to call at least 2 weeks in advance for your order to be completed in time. I had birthday cakes or celebration cakes from here growing up and I will continue to go here for all cakes for my family. They also have delicious milk. I'm partial to their coffee milk. I have been coming here since a kid and love seeing the bakery evolve each year. The bakery can get very busy especially on weekends since they're one of the best bakeries around but service is always quick and friendly. They have a massive variety of desserts and items, you really can't go wrong! Cakes, cupcakes, eclairs, pastries, bread, cookies, frosting, local honey, milks, and the list goes on. There were floral bouquets for sale right as I walked in with beautiful spring colors. They also have the infamous RI pizza strips (rectangular strip of pizza, served on a crust, topped with pizza sauce) and RI's famous coffee milk. IFYKYK! Their whipped cream is homemade, light, fluffy, creamy, and always tastes so fresh. My Go-To's are usually the strawberry shortcake, strawberry danish, M&M cookies, and eclairs. I tried their new spring limoncello cake this time around and it has a sweet thick frosting with a yummy yellow cake. I'm not a huge milk drinker but got the strawberry milk so I can make those trending Instagram Strawberry Latte's at home with my Nespresso machine...and what better Strawberry Milk to get than a fresh Wright's Dairy Farm one. It's a fun spot to take the kids since there is a farm right outside the bakery where you can see the cows. I don't know how this place still has so many positive reviews. This place was good about 15 years ago. First off everything is disgustingly overpriced. They sell frosting shots which is about a tablespoon of frosting for $1. They're literally robbing their customers. I haven't been here in a few years so I decided to give it another try. Almost everything was sold out. How do you run a business with almost nothing to sell? It's way too small for the amount of customers that they get. It's always elbow to elbow and cramped. You would think after being open for so long they would expand. The service isn't bad but they seem to want to rush you and not want to be there themselves. I had a small list of items I wanted to get and they only had 1 of those things. I improvised and got a sampler pack which contained a cupcake, chocolate chip cookie, mnm cookie and an mnm brownie. The cupcake was disgusting, the brownie was good and the cookies weren't bad. I also got a chocolate milk which was the one thing they had on my list. It tasted like how it used to when I was a kid and is the only chocolate milk I'll drink, it's beyond amazing. Last time I was here the chocolate milk was different. I'm glad it's back to normal and is probably the only reason I'll step foot in this place again. My mom got coffee ice cream which I tried a bite of. It was good and slightly stronger than I expected but in a good way. However the texture was a bit odd, it seemed a little icy like they added water to it or something. Overall I feel like this place is worse off than the last time I was here. It's hard to give a place a good rating when they barely have anything to sell and they price gouge worse than stop and shop. I think people are stuck in the past and haven't released this place isn't even comparable to what it used to be. Wright's is a sweet little find in rural North Smithfield. The fact that this is a working dairy farm sets this bakery apart from the rest. Depending on when you visit, you may see the cows being milked and a strong whiff of manure is not uncommon. However, the delicious treats offered inside make up for that. From sticky pecan rolls to cinnamon twists to giant cowboy cookies, every pastry I've gotten from Wright's has been delicious. And the milk, eggs, and cream don't come any fresher. I'm a sucker for coffee milk and Wright's has some of the very best in Rhode Island. If you love ice cream, joining the annual Test Batch Club is an absolute must. For 13 weeks, you will get a pint to taste and review which helps inform their summer menu at their scoop shops. Not only is this a great marketing ploy, but it also gets me to expand my horizons and try flavors I would never typically order. We've been here many times, and think they are great destination for pastries, cakes, pies, dairy, and their Hermit Cookies, old fashioned molasses spiced cookie with raisins. On Saturday, we picked up a Mother's Day cake, some cannoli's and Hermits. They were very busy on this holiday weekend, we waited over half an hour for our scheduled pickup. For those who didn't order ahead, the wait was well over an hour. Here is their standard build your own cake choices, though they also offer highly customized cakes. Very long overdue review of an amazing place I visit when I am in the area. We celebrated my sisters bday when I was there and this is what she wanted. This is a working dairy farm that sells the most amazing custom made cakes, cookies, pastries and flavored milk. I am not a milk drinker but the coffee and chocolate milk is so delicious. The cake we got for my sister was cow cake , it's chocolate mousse layers, chocolate cake and homemade whipped cream. It's honestly sinful and I can't wait for my next visit.
