We sat outside for a nice glass of wine. The view is remarkable as the hotel is decorated for Christmas. Outdoor heaters and two firepits with plenty of tables or couches. Relaxing and just what we needed after a long day of shopping and site seeing. Wine selection is decent and the variety of nuts was complementary. Do mind the birds as they will join you at the table if you don't brush them away. Service was very good and didn't engage but would be there with a nod. read more

Drinks are verrry pricey. I ordered a bourbon aged cocktail. It may have been the smallest cocktail I have ever had. With that said, it was delicious. Was it the best cocktail I ever had, I'm unsure, but it wasn't the best at $20. The service is great per usual at the Biltmore. The vibes are great, plus late night live music on the weekends. If you come, you will have a great time. Just be prepared to shell out some cash. read more

Wright Bar has an amazing relaxed feel to it's decor and it immediately invites you in. Stopped by as we have friends in town staying at the resort. It was a Weekend day but they were not busy at least inside. We were the only table at the time with two people at the bar. We took a table inside and waited and waited but we think we had a concrete pillar blocking the one server from seeing our table. We got up and relocated to a more visible location. The service while very friendly was SLOW! Slow to get a server slow to get our drinks slow to get our food, slow to get our bill. Drinks while expensive are tasty, The Wright Way martini is my favorite, cranberry, triple sec and "bubbles" very refreshing, friends had the tequila sunrise (I had already had it there) my partner had the Rusty Nail since he is a fan of whiskey. They bring a trio of small plates to nibble on, pistachios, cashews and something else I forgot, all were relatively tasteless but hey you can't argue with free. Fried Brussels sprouts were tasty with a good aioli sauce (I ate most of them as I think I am the only person I know who loves Brussels sprouts) toast with goat cheese, olives and mustard was okay. Not a bad experience I guess everyone there is just in a laid back vacation mood including the staff. I just hate slow service when a place isn't busy. read more

I had 2x Barrel Aged Bourbon Block drinks... all I can say is this bar mixture and libation is something out of a chemist how to manual to bartend! First off, who the hell wrote my initial review? 4 stars too? That's what you get when I'm reviewing sober!! Blah, boring and no cursing. I probably did this back when my Mom was reading my reviews. Anyways, this place kicks ass and not in the saying kind of way, but there is a chance you can get kicked in the ass here. Yeah, you're going to get the beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, that is just a given. And yes it is the perfect setting to throw down a martini or six. What I love most about this bar are the bartenders, well the martini's then the bartenders. I guess the martinis are made by the bartenders so them first? Chicken and the egg thing I guess. Autumn and Aaron have been bartending at the Wright Bar for years now and they don't get much better than these two. When you're able to text your bartender the next day to find out whether you paid or how many martinis you had, you know you're in good hands. The Wright Bar has a great set-up where you can sit inside when it's cold or you can sit inside when it's hot as hell! Okay, it does have an amazing patio, but I feel like it's too far away from the vodka. The Wright Bar is my go to when I'm feeling like a nice martini and light conversation. Sit back, relax and enjoy the beauty of the Biltmore, it doesn't get much better than this! P.S. Be careful with your Aura here, you may be called out if it's too big for the bar. Great place for drinks! Outside, you'll have gorgeous mountain views. Inside, a beautiful space with large windows and nightly entertainment. We stopped in twice during our brief stay. The signature cocktails are a little expensive at roughly $15, but my Polo Club with Hendricks gin, raspberry syrup, fresh lemon juice, and egg white was a treat. Later in the evening, we had dessert...apple tartan. The presentation was a work of art. So was the speed at which we devoured this slice of heaven. Trendy bar in the classic Biltmore hotel. The actual bar is average sized, but there is plenty of open seating the area. It is perfect for groups or people that just want to savor a drink. The seats are arranged in couches or seats, so you can enjoy a conversation without shouting. A live band was playing instrumental versions of popular songs. One memorable part of this bar is how wonderful the restroom smelled. It had a nice citrus scent that was slightly overwhelming at first, but was calming after a bit. These features come at cost. I've been here twice now for drinks and a light meal. Both times the service has been lackluster. The first time, the waitress was MIA most of the evening. On my visit this weekend, the waitress spilled my glass of red wine on my boyfriend's white button-up shirt. She was very apologetic but all she did was bring him a cup of club soda and a towel. I thought they should have offered to dry clean it, or at the very least, take something off the bill. However, we got neither. The redeeming factors are the view and the food. It's so relaxing to sit out on the patio and take in the beautiful courtyard and views of the mountains. This last visit, my boyfriend and I shared the Wright Burger and the mac and cheese. The burger, while a little pricey, was super delicious. And the side of fries were perfectly seasoned and crisp. The mac and cheese said it was "au gratin" style, so I pictured it coming out baked with a nice crust on top. Instead, it came out looking like a regular bowl of mac and cheese. Fortunately, it was so tasty, I didn't mind too much. It was cheesy and creamy without feeling too heavy. We also shared a chocolate dessert, and even though I'm not a big chocolate fan, I still ate more than my fair share because it was so good. For the value, I think you are better off eating somewhere else. But for drinks and conversation, it is the perfect place. read more

One night during my stay I decided to sit outside as it was cooling off and grab a drink. There was a group event being set up outside with live music. The same friendly waitress that helped me at breakfast helped me at the bar. I asked about the various margaritas and asked if there was one that wasn't sweat. She recommended one but when I tasted it all I tasted with sugar. I wasn't going to say anything but she obviously figured it out when I didn't touch it for a half hour. This is one of my favorite aspects about the Arizona Biltmore property. If you're going to go to Wright Bar, sit in their outdoor patio area where they have several seating areas around fire pits. During my stay, I ended every evening out in front of one of those pits with a cognac in my hand. Strangest thing--say hello to the Biltmore's feral cat, Simba. I'm going to stop myself now--they call this thing a FERAL cat. It lives at the freakin' Biltmore. The thing looks immaculately groomed and VERY well fed. It is NOT feral. read more

I know they remodeled the Biltmore to attract the younger crowd but I didn't expect it to result in ageism. I haven't been so ignored or insulted in years. Though the bartender and her trainee had plenty of time for the gentlemen further down the bar, they never even glanced our way once after we got our drinks. When the younger man paid I had my credit card out so I could grab her attention to pay also but she turned away and went back to the other end in spite of three "excuse me miss" on our part. Finally the gentleman said something to her when she returned to him, again never even glancing our way. As big tippers my 18% tip was an actual slight as I just don't have it in me to stiff someone. But if ever there was a time this would have been it. After enjoying Wright Bar since the 70s, I can honestly say I will never go back. Ageism and sexism is not what I expected tonight! Dinner at Renatas was amazing as was Lexy our server, and the bartender at the new garden pool bar was lovely too. So our evening wasn't ruined by the blatant rudeness by the bartender and her assistant at Wrights. read more

I am writing this review waaaay too late. Been going to the a Wright Bar at the Biltmore for probably 4 years when visiting our son in the Biltmore area. Well, now he's moving to San Diego. We went to the Bar last weekend for a Bon voyage drink. The bartenders are very friendly and super helpful (I.e. Like when you lose your phone!). Drinks are a bit pricey but very good!! The ambience is classic-recently renovated! Some nights we've been there, we have enjoyed live music. The bar is always hopping-great for people watching! Good-bye, dear Wright Bar.
