We got 25% off from IG/FB. $80 for 2, $10 parking. We booked 5 pm entry. We could come between 5 to 5:30 pm. The parking was well organized. There was no line. There are many food trucks with variety of food choices (donuts, Korean food truck, vietnamese food truck, Wise BBQ, kettle corn, etc.) There is a bar for alcoholic drinks as well as hot chocolate or eggnog. There are multiple theme decorations, snow making machine, santa workshops, etc. It is about 1.5 mile easy strolling and pet friendly. Overall, we enjoyed the experience.

*** November 28th, 2025 to December 27th, 2025 ***…read more This is the 6th season for Holiday Road and it is an outdoor holiday experience to see Christmas displays, lights, fields of candy canes, face painting, food trucks, and tons of photo opportunities. The "road" is a 0.75 mile long self-guided walking trail. Most visitors spend 1-hour to 1.5-hour on the grounds. [Location]: The trail is located at King Gillette Ranch. I had minimal cellular signal so make sure to load the GPS direction ahead of time. [Price]: Tickets are $24.99 and up depending on the day. Children 2 years and under are free and do NOT require a ticket. Visitors must purchase a Parking Pass to access the parking lot (no Parking Pass is needed if you are being dropped off). Have digital tickets ready for scanning on the TIXR app or alternatively print a copy of ticket for scanning upon arrival. Our party paid $34.99 per person and $9.99 for a parking pass (plus online transaction fees). [Hours]: Parking lot opens at 4:30 PM. The grounds open from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Trail Entrance, food trucks, bars, and stores open at 5:00 PM and closes at 9:00 PM. Trail ticket times starting from 5 PM until 8 PM. Visitors must select a time slot and the website states visitors must be present at the check-in during the stated arrival window or they will be turned away and no refund will be provided. Our part arrived slightly late by 30 minutes and was still able to get in. [Amenities]: Portable restrooms are available on the grounds. [Special notes]: No pets allowed on the grounds. Expect uneven dirt grounds with big pebbles at the parking lot & many visitors almost tripped as they walked from the parking lot to the entrance - so watch each step. However once visitors are inside of the grounds, then the grounds become easy to navigate for anyone bringing a stroller. [Experience]: It was fairly cold so bring a jacket and/or beanie. It felt like one of those Christmas night walks at botanic gardens plus some big puffy, out of portion, and wacky Christmas decors (e.g. Frosty the Snowman driving a steam locomotive, elves climbing trees, a gingerbread boy with a ribbon hairbow, etc.) Heck our party even saw a LED screen showing AI mariah carey when 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' was played. While some other Christmas lights are more agnostic, visitors will see more decors celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and Hanukkah. [Conclusion]: A 3.5-star experience - bump down on mediocre food truck options, semi pricey tickets, and the non-stroller-friendly parking lot.

Each time I found myself walking without anything to look at, it took me out of the mood. The trail is about a mile of flat walking. Dress comfortable. Towards the last 1/4 mile the security staff were trailing us in their carts getting ready to close, even though we had over 1/2 hour left. It made the experience terrible. They were rushing us through. OVERALL: I would recommend it for children, but it was just ok to me as an adult. I will try the Christmas one though!

If all contractors communicated the way Rudy does, half of the world's problems would probably be solved (ok, slight hyperbole). From start to finish, Rudy was incredibly communicative, knowledgeable, professional, and transparent. He let me know when he was heading to my house, when he arrived on the property, and when he left. I never had to wonder whether he was coming or if I had been ghosted by yet another contractor. He kept every appointment and did exactly what he said he was going to do. Apparently, this level of reliability does still exist! He was also extremely respectful and as another Yelper mentioned, never pushy about upselling me. He listened to what I wanted, worked with me, and offered ideas about what would look best in my backyard. I felt like I was getting genuine advice rather than a sales pitch. There are maybe one or two other people I've hired over the years whom I would gleefully recommend without hesitation. Rudy is now firmly on that very short list. If anyone I know needs bistro lights installed, I wouldn't just recommend him. I'd probably insist. My only complaint is that Rudy doesn't offer more services. I wish he were a roofer, carpenter, electrician, plumber, handyman...hell, at this point, I wish he did everything. I'd hire him for my entire house. Thank you sooooooo much Rudy and team. Just two days later, the job was completed--and it looks fantastic. We own another property where we previously had string lights professionally installed. That company did a nice job too, but their price was nearly double what Illuminating Team charged, and for less work and materials. I wish I had known about Rudy and his team sooner. On top of the great service, Rudy went above and beyond. He noticed that my outdoor outlets weren't working properly and came back on his own time another day to install a new outlet box with GFCI outlets. That kind of care and attention is rare, and it really sets him apart. I will gladly recommend Illuminating Team to anyone looking for quality work, fair pricing, and outstanding service.

I made several attempts to reach out afterward by phone, text and email, but did not receive a response. As a result, I will need to hire someone else to correct the work. I am left with a pipe that runs across a doorway and sticks up higher than the threshold. It is unsafe. It's a trip hazard, and a high likelihood of a broken pipe if it gets stepped on. Running the pipe above ground doesn't even make sense. They bypassed the existing below ground system and ran the pipes along the side of my house going across the doorway. In addition, I was quoted a price by Noe, and the next day he texted and told me Steve said it will be $400 more. I should have just said no at that point. I'm very disappointed because I used them a few years ago without issue. But leaving me with such substandard work and then completely ghosting me when I tried to reach out is totally unprofessional.

These guys are building us a 60 foot string Light Christmas tree On a building at the shipyard , In full view, for all to see, in Alamitos Bay, Long Beach. DO NOT hire Steve Anguiano to take on a project that requires him to choose a good business partner…read moreor provide that partner with clear direction. For my ADU project, he made the mistake of enlisting an engineer, when he should have enlisted an architect. In his early emails, he tried to convey that he hired an architect, but it eventually came out that he'd tried to shortcut the process and went directly with an engineer. He even admitted in writing (see pics) and on the phone that he couldn't handle the problem he was having with his engineer following instructions. I provided Steve and his engineer with detailed copies of the new ADU laws Sacramento had recently passed. But, because Steve contracted an engineer and not an architect to draw up my plans, Steve and his engineer were unable to deliver. His engineer simply would not accept that the laws had changed. Steve's engineer insisted on submitting drawings that fit the old standards, so CITY PLANNING NEVER GOT TO REVIEW THE DRAWINGS. When I asked why he wouldld not submit the correct drawings, Steve walked away from managing his engineer. When I asked for a refund, Steve told me to take him to court, and yes, I have everything in writing. As my attorney said, "You should've known this guy was a clown by the way he wrote his 'contract' with you. But, yes. We can take him to court like he suggested and we'll get a judgment against him just by submitting the emails you have from him. However, the financial payout won't be worth the effort. Write this one off as a business loss." So, to my fellow Yelpers, please do as others have done and reach out to me directly. I have all of the texts and email correspondence with Steve Anguiano that show how he bungled my ADU project. I had attempted much more complex projects than this one, so I was hopeful this easier one would get completed. But Steve and his crew didn't even get as far as others did! And the others charged less!! Ignore the pre-2024 reviews! Stay away from Simply Affordable Home Design and Remodeling - and Steve Anguiano.

Things started off great but 1 week into the project he disappeared for 5 days and wasnt responding to texts or calls. When he finally got in touch he made excuses about his dog. Okay but that doesn't excuse not showing up or letting me know. I thought we worked through that but things like that continued to happen. And he was obviously lying when he gave me excuses for why he wasn't showing up or calling back. I wasn't born yesterday. He also hired subs for work he used to do himself and they were not great. Tile guy framed the shower niche crookedly and the first crew he hired to hang the cabinets totally screwed it up. And they broke my garage door. Steve installed some of the plumbing in my bathroom but screwed up the tub faucet connection and left the bathroom drain not hooked up to any pipes. He also lost pieces of the plumbing trim, including the faucets that I asked him to reuse. I had to replace a lot of plumbing at great expense. He installed the new dishwasher incorrectly so that it's leaking from the door and I have to get in a repairman. He has gone completely off his game. I fired him ( after paying almost all the money for the job) and hired another contractor to finish the job. Don't hire him.

I was very disappointed in George and this company. I previously hired George to instal 3 lights in…read more3 of our closets and he did a really good job so we decided to call again to instal another light above the kitchen sink and two outlets. He came out right away to give me an accurate quote and he even tried to sell me on other lights I didn't want but I listened to his sales pitch anyways. He asked to think about it and txt him later with my final answer but he would return on another day to do the job. As he was leaving he tried to sell me an AC unit (not including installation) for $1000 but we didn't ask for AC and we don't have a budget for something like that but I listened to his sales pitch again and told him I would ask my husband. That evening I txted him letting him know I just wanted the original work I asked for and skipped on his other lights and AC unit (never heard back from him letting me know he received the message) He returned later on in the week and not even 5 minutes later he tells me he needs to reschedule because the attic was too hot, I totally understood and I gave him my availability for the next week. I asked him if he could come back on a specific day and he said he would let me know. Well I never heard back from him. I txted him twice to see if the days I provided worked for him but I heard nothing back. I think he was upset that I didn't go with his more expensive lights and random AC unit so he decided to ghost me? Not sure but it was extremely unprofessional to leave a client hanging like that. I gave a 1 Star for the fact that he did a good job the first time around. Needless to say I'll be looking for another electrician.
