Not only is Kepa passionate about fitness, he is passionate about helping his clients. His training extends beyond exercise and includes educating clients on nutrition and lifestyle changes. He and his team work with clients at all fitness levels and will modify exercises as needed to accommodate each client's individual ability. Having a personal trainer to guide me through each workout is invaluable since it helps me focus on proper form so that I can get through each workout safely and because each workout is fun and never the same. Elite Fitness is a great place for anyone looking to start or continue their fitness journey!!

Kepa jumped on a call with me the same day to learn more about my goals & needs, and then brought me in for an in-person assessment. From there he set me up with Daniel who is hands-down the best personal trainer I've ever worked with. I started with 2 days a week but upped it to 3x/week several months ago because the results were so great. Kepa, Daniel, and the entire Elite Fitness team are wonderful and I'm so grateful for their support in my health/fitness transformation.

The staff was very friendly, and the gym was very clean! I never realize how much I appreciated a clean gym until every gym I went to was filthy. I like that there is a standard at this gym and people seem to be respectful of the equipment, also all the equipment is new and updated which is nice! No rusty , dusty machines! I enjoy the amenities of the black card and so far the members have been very respectful and not creepy like other gyms I've been to. I respect the policy of Planet Fitness. Just reading the comments on here and a x member giving a bad review saying they were kicked out for taking a photo of another member. After reading thus review, I am so grateful to be at a gym that holds people accountable, and protect other members of inappropriate behavior. I have experienced situations in other gyms where I did not feel safe and nothing happened so this is refreshing to read. A gym is not just about the equipment or working out , but it's also about feeling comfortable & safe in the community. Thank you! I'm happy to be apart of this community! Aloha

There are five high schools within a three mile radius, not to mention numerous middle schools. What do you think happens? Hordes of roving teens on their phones wasting paying customers time. Whose brilliant idea was this? I've seen whole athletic teams in there working out I'm not against kids working out, I'm all for it. Just educate and ENFORCE some basic gym protocols. The constantly rotating staff doesn't help. These kids simply can't get enough of themselves-on their phones, in the mirror, and now having their friends faces plastered across the front of their shirt. The Kool Kalani Krew in particular will sit and chat on a machine/bench for 30 minutes. It wastes everyone's time. What's the old adage? You get what you pay for. Did I mention the parking nightmare?

I was at home on a Sunday afternoon, lying on the couch, procrastinating while watching TV, deciding whether or not to go to hit the gym that day. All of a sudden, this totally ripped, super cool looking Japanese guy appeared on this Spy Series television show, and I got immediately inspired and decided at that exact moment that I needed to stop procrastinating and get off the couch and go work out. I left the house and walked to the gym. I took the escalator up and as I got off at the top, I literally bumped into this totally ripped, super cool looking Japanese guy and realized that it was the same guy I had just seen on TV ! We have been friends ever since, and Bill has been my exclusive trainer since then. What I love about being trained by Bill is that he knows the importance of incorporating NEW things into your workout realm every few months. It has set the bar high for me every year of the thirteen that I have been blessed to call Bill my friend and Trainer. Bill was the first person I recall to ever say the words"kettle-bell" in Hawaii ! I am so grateful to him for always re-callibrating my whole program and way of thinking every few months since I started training under him. It keeps things from getting stale and routine and well... boring ! The body and brain really only respond and change when we give them new and challenging things to do, and in my opinion, no one teaches those principles while incorporating that theory through fresh and challenging training sessions better than Bil Maeda. Here we are all these years later, and Bill i s still inspiring me, as he did that day on TV, to get off that couch and get a great workout in every day !

My first question to him was, "How can you have worked out the with same trainer for 3 years and not be bored?" My personal history is riddled with workout regimens that have come and gone because, in the end, they just get boring. Bill has kept things fresh for two years, with the goal of making me "unbreakable" -- strong and injury-free. We started with foundational exercises (push-ups, pull-ups, planks, step-ups, lunges, twisting core exercises, etc.) to make sure that I had a solid base of strength before moving on to more dynamic movements and heavier weights. At every step of the way, Bill focused on teaching strict form for every exercise. I share his belief that maintaining good form, with light or heavy weights, ensures that one gets the most out of every exercise and avoids injury. In the last two years, Bill has mixed in kettlebells (thruster, long cycle, snatch), traditional power lifting (squat, bench, deadlift), punching & kicking, sandbags, weighted swinging clubs, body weight movements, and a variety of isometric exercises. I participate in a variety of other sports and events (soccer, triathlons, obstacle races, endurance events), and Bill designs my workouts to help me prepare specifically for them.
