Ground chicken was perfectly seasoned and not dry at all. Great combo of fresh toppings. I selected a GF bun and it was properly grilled and not thick and dry at all like many I've had. The sweet potato tots were great and their sauce was really good, the only problem was that the chicken sandwich was overcooked so the batter was too crispy and the chicken was very dry; not a good look considering the price. Chicken Breast on a brioche was 10/10, balanced seasoning with fresh lettuce & tomatoes & other vegetables. Jerk Thigh Roti 8/10, the Roti was not all that & it was slightly salty but chicken was well seasoned and fall apart delicate. Shrimp Burger was 10/10 Sweet potato tots were 10/10 Sauces were really good & complemented the sandwiches. Great location behind the carousel, in Military Park. I had the oxtail burger, which was juicy and delicious. It had a little spicy kick. I also had fries, and grilled strawberry pound cake. The food is good but the service is inconsistent. I was here last week and the service was A1. Today was not it and will make me go else where. Every time I've placed a pick up order my food has been brought to me, at the register. I usually order from here often, so I know what to expect. Apparently my food was ready for 15 minutes but no one communicated my food was ready. I was frustrated and the young lady responded, "your food been ready, it's been sitting". No apology or anything, only assumed I was waiting to place an order. Again, the attitude and reaction as if I was in the wrong for being frustrated my food was not ready is insane. There needs to be better communication and less assumptions. I can only assume she was having a bad day but to be in the wrong and be nasty is wild. Highly disappointing. read more

Finally got a chance to eat at The Yard and the food was amazing! Ordered the oxtail burger and it definitely lived up to the hype. I used spicy ketchup and whatever sauces they gave me on the side of fries and loved all of the delicious flavors. I also tried a few bites of the Seoul Sista fried rice with the yaya sauce and that was incredible too. Let's just start off with the pros, the staff is very friendly and everyone is very accommodating and nice and the outdoor seating is very beautiful. However I came here for the food and it was bland and the price was absurd. I payed $20.... For a sliver of beef and cheese in a bun and fries. I don't even know why they bothered asking how do I want it cooked cause I asked for a medium and it was definitely well done. The fact that I payed for a $10 meal $20 is actually crazy. I'm sitting there having lunch with my young elderly mother, who was really disturbed by the music, not to mention you have muti cultural people, white people Hispanics and Asian people eating alone side us at different tables. I really wanted to rate this place 5 's! The food, service, and Ambiance all deserve 5 's! On top of live jazz music brunch hours on Sundays I wish I can give them 4.5 stars. If you and someone special want to enjoy the experience me and my lady had here I would recommend you come at least 5-10 minutes before opening on Sundays (12pm). It's very small inside. My guess would be 20 people capacity. The service is fast, but also get crowded very fast. We got here 5 minutes before opening and within 15 minutes of sitting they was already at capacity.
