So special environment, beautiful country style decorations in the restaurant, out standing people at serving, provide perfect customer experience! Full of kindness n love in the atmosphere, even the customers themselves are the same kind!

Charming little place! Came here for brunch with my boyfriend. A new gem in Kingston! It was pretty full and we loved the whole experience. Homemade/homegrown everything, friendly service, and delicious food. They make their own bread in house too! Most tasty and delicious bread I've ever had. It was wonderful, and cheap for the amount of food.

The place is open and bright wherever you sit, whether on the outdoor patio, downstairs by the bar, or upstairs. Service was excellent. My reservation was smoothly handled, and my server took good care of me. I got offeres some bread and butter after I ordered, which was really a nice surprise. The offered breads were seeded, ollve, and rustic style. All delicious, especially with the sweet butter. For the main meal, I got a half dozen oysters, an order of cha gio and their Ahi Dragon Noodle Salad. The cha gio were crispy, not greasy, sweet and savoury. The oysters were super fresh, sweet and a good size. Along with the usual condiments, they included pickled red onion, which is the first time I've ever had this. I really enjoyed the acidic sweet bite enhancing the sweetness of the oysters. The Ahi Dragon Noodle Salad had microgreens, red cabbage, red and green and yellow sweet pepper, red chili pepper, edamame, coriander, green onions, and fried parsnip chips. The Ahi was charred on the outside, fresh and meaty. I appreciate that the sesame oil, soy sauce and hint of chili on the perfectly chewy noodles was separate from the veggies. The vegetables had a very clean flavour, but I would have liked something more, maybe a touch of citrus. A glass of good wine rounded out the whole experience. I was way too full at the end of the meal to even contemplate dessert. All in all, a great meal, and I would return any time.

Instead of directly answering my questions about certain menu items (regarding alcohol) the lady serving us upstairs didn't seem to want to give me a straight answer. I eventually ordered fish cakes that looked and tasted like they came out of a supermarket freezer and the "chef's cut" steak that was the poorest quality meat Ive ever been served in a (supposed) quality restaurant. I guess you really can't "make a silk purse out of a sow's ear" - no matter how beautiful the premises. JGC, Fonthill ON

I know this place exists because of their generosity to Camp Outlook. They have absolutely 100% scrumptious bread! And baked goodies. I love their dinner buns. They are made in this pull-a-part style and absolutely delicious to accompany soup, or toasted with butter, or, Pb&J, or cheese. Almost anything really, you can't go wrong. I was in Kingston recently and really wanted those dinner buns, unfortunately they didn't have them. Not on Sunday, not on Monday. I settled for their mini olive and rosemary dinner rolls. They were good too. Service here is pretty on point. There was a question I had asked the lady behind the counter and she came out from behind the counter to help answer any questions I had and serve me. She was really awesome! They have a catering menu, a cafe for brunch, they have fresh breads available and they do specialty cakes. They are totally the real deal. AND they sell Neal Brothers' cheese puffs. Havent been able to find these bad boys anywhere. They discontinued them in grocery retailers and health food stores don't seem to carry them. I'm in Toronto and havent been able to find them for a couple of years. They are a pretty penny, yet worth it for the sheer pleasure. Their store front is spacious and inviting. Certainly the place to be, everyone seemed to be walking in when I went. It is very well known. They can for sure accomodate a large amount of people. I would most definitely revisit when Im in the city next.

Ok, COVID doesn't help, as this is happening more frequently these days!!) Needing to recharge and regroup to figure out where we are going and make it to the hardware store, we were hungry and needed better sustenance than is usually provided in a coffee shop. After looking around a bit, we ended up on Kingston's Princess street, and chose to try this place out. First of all, it's deceiving from the outside: it looks way smaller than it really is, like a bakery outlet with a reasonable variety of baked goods on offer. However, there's a back portion where customers can eat in the store. Being that we're still getting used to the "new normal", we weren't ready to dine in, and wanted a seat outside. **Note: to get a seat on the patio, you actually have to go outside to find the hostess and request a table. It was a Sunday afternoon, and they were doing a booming business! But the wait was not long. We had a hard time choosing from the menu; there are a LOT of options! I was expecting a beautiful bakery selection but it was more sandwiches and other unusual, eclectic meals. We eventually chose a burger for hubby, and a shrimp sandwich for me, with a regular coffee for him and Café au lait for me. The Café was great, and even came with a wafer cookie. The wait was not long for our meals. OK, to be honest, I was not expecting to have my sinuses cleared out while I ate, but the food was so spicy to me, also with an after bite, that I was blowing my nose throughout the meal! Not a good look during COVID (sad face!) Worse, I picked up the great big sandwich to take a bite and a shrimp rolled off the top and fell to the ground! Very sad! These shrimps were lightly breaded and quite tasty! No wonder they gave me a fork and knife! Note to self: use cutlery! Here's the great part: one of the servers, went over and above, beyond the call of duty, and got me another shrimp!! It was so prettily laid out on a lettuce leaf, and quite hot - so fresh! Kudos for that!! I will have to bear this experience in mind for next time we visit Kingston, when we are looking for somewhere different to eat.

We needed to find someplace to sit and enjoy some air-conditioning before getting underway. This place looked like a good stop. It actually was! I believe this is a Holiday Inn hotel. After perusing their menu, we asked for an à la carte order of truffle fries. The cocktail and the truffle fries were absolutely delicious! Though we cannot remember the name of our server, she reminded us both of the character Harley Quinn. She was very thoughtful and friendly in her service. We truly appreciated that.

It was ready so we were able to eat fast and had a decent selection but we probably won't eat the buffet again. A decent selection of items that looked really good but once on our plate we soon discovered that most of the food was past luke warm and more on the cold side. What was there to choose from: French toast, blueberry pancakes, hash browns, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with spinach and mushroom(this was one of the nicest items they served), bacon, sausage, bagels, cereal, yogurt and granola. The was a big bowl of cut up fruit which is definitely a super plus for me. You get coffee, tea, and juice which is a nice bunch of choices for liquids. Lots of seating though so there is no issues getting a seat.

It's great for small and large groups, for celebrations, for watching sports, and perfect for corporate events! Thanks to my friend for introducing this place to us! Our server was also very friendly and enthusiastic ^^ I love the Asian-inspired menu; Chef Paulson is absolutely talented, and the food is SO AMAZING! I can't wait to visit again. I would recommend the following: Avocado Infused Hummus - The hummus was so light and creamy, and I love the addition of pistachio and pomegranate to this dish! The pita bread was also soft and fluffy Turkey Delight Poutine - Loved this shareable appetizer! Topped with braised turkey, fresh Quebec cheese curd, and crispy kale. That cranberry mayo was definitely chef's kiss! Seafood Linguine - Made with a housemade tomato sauce, and topped with fresh shrimps, Hokkaido scallops, and mussels. A very tasty entrée! Fish & Chips - My friend especially enjoyed this dish Seared haddock (instead of traditionally breaded/deep fried!), served with mushy peas (有驚喜!), coleslaw and tartare sauce. My friends also had the Itaewon Beef Burger with Fries and the Korean BBQ Short Ribs on Rice. Both very tasty according to them ^^
