I had my wedding there and it was absolutely beautiful! The Pavilion they have is perfect for weddings and the area is has plenty of space for both the ceremony and reception. The tent that they have can hold a large wedding and the lights that they hung with the centerpieces looked amazing. Also, the wine there is top notch and the staff were super friendly and always helpful. They made our night perfect! A night to remember forever! Big shout out to Mark, Kim and Josh and all their staff that made the evening wonderful for me and all my guests!

Best place to go in stone wall! My boyfriend and I have went numerous times and it's a great experience every time. The moscato, rosè, and gsm are our favorites... plus the charcuterie board is perfect. The owners are such great folks to be around and all of the staff is warm, inviting, and fun to be around. Very attentive and welcoming, made us feel like family from the get go! 10/10 recommend for large groups, dates, families.... Everyone! Plus it's military owned-supported-supporting, I love seeing it!!

My husband and I absolutely love this place. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable and really make you feel like you've known them forever. They support the military with a focus on the Air Force which is also a unique incredible cause. The property is expansive and has so many different things to offer, the wines are all very good and they have a little something for anyone's tastes. We also always have to get the charcuterie board which is a perfect accompaniment to relax in the tasting room or out by the fire pit while enjoying your favorite glass. This is a must for us every time we're in town.

I can't praise this Winery enough. The owners are phenomenal and are highly involved with their consumers. It has always been an exceptional experience in each visit. Kim is a jewel, and Mark is so amazing! I truly encourage all to make a trip to things family-friendly space that provides extraordinary wine in an impeccable ambiance. The food is delicious as well!

My boyfriend and I visited Arrowhead Saturday afternoon for a wine tasting. Live music in the tasting room, perfect volume. The wine was fantastic, but the real star of the show for us was a sweet lady who helped us out, Jan. She was knowledgeable, witty, and extremely attentive. I would recommend making a stop at Arrowhead if you're in town!!

Fun visit where we tasted some good wines. Will definitely go back in the future. Especially like their commitment to the military

John was amazing. So nice and informative. We shared a tasting and found some new favorites. These newbie wineries in Fredericksburg are knocking it out of the park. Try the newbies people. Don't just stick to grape creek and Mesina Hof etc.

New winery with a vineyard and a nice stretch of Pedernales River frontage. The small tasting room is in a remodeled farmhouse with high ceilings and two tasting counters. There's only one table inside, though. The outdoor space along the river will probably be enjoyable in cooler weather. I got the red tasting with 3 Texas wines and 2 from California. Everything was solid, but my favorite was the Nihcaro Texas Campfire. Small charcuterie board is quite small, but everything is high quality. Overall, worth a stop!

    ACV During Eclipse

Our group from California visited ACV winery for the recent Eclipse event. We went there the day before to check out the winery and to get a taste of the wines available, and to get a feel for the drive the next day for the Eclipse. We arrived on Sunday late in the day and were greeted with a welcoming smile and great customer service. All the wines we tasted were a pleasant surprise given that we weren't sure what to expect (as we come from the heart of the Lodi Ca. wine area). The winery reminded me so much of the winery I work at - a family-owned winery with the passion for good wine, customer service and a memorable experience. The location, right off the road, and next to a river with a beautiful landscape offers a great experience for any kind event that one can think of. The owners, family and staff are friendly, welcoming, as they share the history of the winery and of the wines. Every wine had a unique taste and offered many ways to enjoy them. To name a few that we especially liked are the Sauvignon Blanc, Tempranillo Rose, GSM, Cab, and the Tannat. Just to add a special shout out for the Tannat - I am a big fan of the varietal and I know that it can be a challenge to making one without it being overpowering. The Tannat at ACV is a gem, well balanced, just the right blend of tannins and a nice smoothness for the finish. For my palate, this Texas estate wine is a perfect Tannat, and I will say it would match up to any from California. The day of the Eclipse was even better as we were able to get in a little early to get a table sitting. Again, the staff was friendly, and treated us like family. By the time we left our group ended buying a case of wine to be shipped home. Anyone who is going wine tasting in the area would be wise to not miss out on stopping in for a tasting at ACV for some good wines, excellent customer service and an enjoyable experience. This winery should be considered the pride, and a model of the area. Many thanks to Mark, Erika, Kim, Josh and Jan for such a great experience. We wish you all the best!

This is a great little winery in Fredericksburg. The staff is always so attentive and I really like the wines. The outdoor areas are great to just enjoy a glass or bottle. And as a member I have enjoyed their pick up parties with great tastes and love music. If you are looking for a smaller winery that does not skimp on quality give Arrowhead Creek Vineyards a try.

Screened area with casual bar and TV to left, tasting room and patio to the right.

Wow. This place is just beautiful! The grounds are gorgeous. Walk the Perdernales River side or creek side- or both! Each offer beautiful atmosphere and views with turtles, birds, fish and more. The tasting room- comfortable elegance to say the least. And then the wine. Reds, our fav, did not disappoint. Other wines had rave reviews by neighboring patrons, however we stayed with our favorite. Watch for this winery to have some fabulous events and wedding possibilities! The new owners have done great additions and have so many good ideas. Crawfish in April, movie night in May and of course, eclipse plans for April 2024. Write this place down as a must-see. Brides, go visit Arrowhead Creek Vineyards and share your visions. I have no doubt Mark and Kim will make your dreams come true!

During a safari, they…read morewitnessed the tragedy of rhino poaching, an experience that inspired them to get involved in conservation and create a sanctuary. Their 55-acre property became a home for Blake, their Texas-born rhino. And there is a winery here, too! Since opening in '22, it has become a natural extension of their passion for fine wine and a meaningful way to support their conservation efforts. The estate now includes nearly 10 acres of Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Merlot, & Malbec. With most vines in their 4th leaf, estate TX wines are still on the way, but visitors can already enjoy excellent Texas wines made from High Plains fruit along with South African ones. The McPhersons have helped craft many of the Texas wines, while Dr. Bob Young has contributed red wines aged in Texas oak. A team of South African winemakers helps support wines made from the Stellenbosch, Elgin, and the coastal area. The tasting room and back patio offer spacious seating, beautiful views of the Pedernales Valley, and direct views of Blake. The north-facing wine tasting patio is an extra plus design to have, especially with the Texas summer heat. For your testing selection, you'll have a list to choose from. For this tasting session a mix of South African & Texas (both reds & whites) were sampled. Starting off with the Sumatran Sparkles, this South African sourced bubbly is Pinot Grig based with notes of honeysuckle and citrus. Next from SA was their Wijde Sparkling. This white bubbly was blended with 53% Chard, 46% Pinot Noir, & 1% Pinot Meunier. It expressed itself with a floral aroma coupled with acidity and a bit of pear. Following that were two of the Crash label brands. Both Pinotage based, with the dry version a nice and light easy drinking wine featuring notes of strawberries with bright acidity. The sweet Pinotage bubbly version (lightly sweet) exhibited more of a cream sensation with a touch of cherries. Moving on to white wines, the first sipped was the '24 Albariño. This TX white wine has some good pineapple notes giving a pleasant tropical finish. The next white was the Texas High Plains 2025 Viognier. Sourced from Lahey, this one was quite impressive with apricot and lemon. The next Texas red was the '24 Horn Red Blend. This High Plains sourced fruit, comprised of 40% Malbec, 25% Dolcetto, 25% Sangiovese, & 10% Petite Sirah, had notes of clove and cherry going for it with even tannins and acidity. Texas Mourvèdre has been making big waves in the Texas wine industry, and their 2023 vintage has Grenache blended with it to yield an intense fruit forward wine with blackberry to satisfy the nose and palate. The final TX red wine sampled was the '24 Sangiovese. With cherry, raspberry, and a touch of spice, this classic Italian varietal was quite satisfying. For the South African red wines, the '22 Cab Franc was the first to sip. Part of the winery's Keras collection, this bold wine was loaded with big tannins and had a firm mouth gripper! Following that were two '22 Cabernet Sauvignons. One was also from the Keras collection with deep cocoa and raspberry notes and a fine tannic finish. Not quite as bold, but still big, the other Cab wine displayed more blackberry and plum notes with a bit of leather. Rounding out the tasting adventure was the '23 Five Species. This Bordeaux style blend had Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, Malbec, and some Petit Verdot blended to craft a well-balanced, smooth, and elegant wine to savor all evening. With a long family history in the Hill Country spanning more than a century, Craig & Chesney are adding their own chapter to the region's evolving story. The estate offers one beautiful surrounding scenery, dedicated up-close viewing sessions with Blake, and local artwork displayed throughout the tasting room. At its heart, this place is a true rhino conservation effort, strengthened by excellent wines from South Africa and Texas that help support the mission. It is a unique gem in the Texas Hill Country. Cheers!

I am able to get a glass to go while waiting on my reservation at Martini's or carry it with me as I tour the various events at Market Plazt. The downtown location has the same vibe as the Stonewall location with a twist. At AVonA you will be able to select from 16 wines from the automated wine dispensery. Most of the wines you find at the Stonewall location will be available at the tasting room downtown, however I am told that as the bottle new wines and some vintages may only be available at the Stonewall location. If you want to relax and purchase a bottle, that's an option as well. I absolutely LOVE the new location.
