Why do strip clubs always smell like vanilla? Even though the vanilla scent is somewhat expected at a place like this, the fragrance seemed especially strong here. The decor was surprisingly nice, and if I had to describe it I would say that it looked like what would happen if Martha Stewart and Jenna Jameson ever collaborated on the interior of a strip club. The dancers here were hot, but kind of on the pushy side. They played good music and the prices were fair, $350 for a bottle, $20 for lap-dances. We purchased a bottle package and sat in the VIP area close to the stage, which was very entertaining. The dancers were beautiful and they made sure to show my friends and I a great time. This place has been consistently good for a long time. They are always upgrading the venue, keeping it up to date and staying ahead of the times. The food is very good and I believe they have some late night options. On the weekends, these guys stay open until 4am which is pretty refreshing in a town where almost nothing operates after 2 oclock. The DJ announces "Candy" and so you know how the "fresh" (that means clothed) girl comes out on main stage, teases a bit the at the end of her song she shows the goodies.....cute blonde spinner but somehow I think I've seen her before. Then they move to the middle of the room stage wiggle and squirm and all that. All the while this one girl looks more familiar to me.....we keep drinking. Well she finally comes to the back stage, HOLY SHIT tits my neighbor! Our eyes lock and she grabs her top and covers up her boobs (already saw em honey) and says.......Please don't tell your wife. What can a feminist say about a strip club? Well this one can say a lot. I am certainly open-minded when it comes to "adult entertainment." While I think it is unfortunate that the industry exists, I am all for supporting the women who are doing what they wanna/gotta do. So both times I have gone it has been very crowded and once we had to wait for a table. Because it was so busy the service was not great but not bad. It is of course relatively expensive as is par for the course with strip clubs, but not completely unreasonable. The women are attractive and there are always many dancing on both stages and walking around through the crowds. The drawbacks I found were the fact that women also had to pay a cover (come on, can't sexism work in my favor just once?), which has not been the case at any other clubs I have been to, and the lap dances were just in your seat at your table. It kind of made it awkward because I felt I was intruding by watching, but it was hard to look away. It also made it awkward to really enjoy them. Overall, it was okay, not great, and I hear other places in town are better though I have not personally checked them out yet. read more

Came here on a Thursday the first night I was in Austin. It was recommended by the locals. The free limo pick up works pretty well. The club itself is pretty nice with a lot of flatscreen TVs. About half the place was reserved for VIP tables and it was pretty lively for a Thursday, unfortunately the talent was average at best. I don't recall dropping too many dollars here. Oh and make sure to ask the price for a lap dance, my buddy got hustled for 80 dollars for what didn't even amount to two songs. read more

Visited the Yellow Rose for the first time on Tuesday night. Their radio ads seem enticing, so I was interested in how it would compare to other clubs I've been to. We found ourselves a seat in front of the main stage and were completely ignored by the wait staff -- for about 30 minutes. People who came in after us and were seated around us got attention almost immediately. It seemed like the waitstaff was catering mainly to people they already knew (their friends), large parties, or anyone throwing money in the air. We flagged down a waitress as she passed us by, and then it took about 15 minutes just to get our beers delivered. Our desire to continue drinking or spending more money here was diminished. There is also a sign in the entrance that says there is no smoking, yet people were smoking all around me and ashing on the floor. I'm also not used to seeing customers touching the girls. There were several customers who had their hands all over their lap dancers. That being said, the girls performing on stage did a great job - just wished I would've felt more welcomed by the staff. read more

I have been to a few Mens clubs in Austin and this one has to rate as one of the worst. The women were subpar and not fun, the service was non-existent, and the food was terrible. The Yellow Rose used to be my favorite gentlemans club before I moved away from Austin. On Tuesdays you can get a steak dinner for 3.99.....granted beers are 5 dollars at least but hey. The girls were pretty. We did get $20 stolen when we went to smoke and the waitress said she would watch our table. That's cool, we were at at strip club. Besides the $10 beers, service was pretty good. After going through a rough break up, my friend wanted to buy me a private dance. So he payed an employee $20 for a private dance. She gave me the private dance, made me touch her breasts, felt around for my wallet, then got up. I asked if my friend had paid her for the dance, to which she replied "no". So I gave her $30. She asked for another $20, in exchange for her phone number. I did not want her number because she's dishonest and was still feeling around for my wallet. Once she realized that I was not going to pay her more money, she made some racist comments and walked away. I'm white, but I think she was confused, due to the coke. Excellent food, hot day girls, and personable and friendly staff. The day crew in particular is under EXCELLENT management, and all the people working their seem to be cheerfull. If this is an act, then they are good actors. The bartenders and servers are great, and the drinks are reasonably priced. If you tip reasonably, don't perv out on the girls, they treat you like family there. I love the place and think it does a great job of taking away from the seedy image that adult themed clubs have. Stopped by the Yellow Rose this weekend for a little strip club action. I found myself a little dispointed with the overall experience. The girls were okay, nothing special for the most part. Service was a little below average as well. My waitress seemed intoxicated and made several aviodable mistakes. The atmospere really threw off my experience the most. It felt more like a bar on 6th street than strip club, except for the over priced drinks. It is unlikely Ill be returning here on any nights out on my own. If you've been to strip (err, gentlemen's) clubs in bigger cities, you're going to be disappointed with the Yellow Rose. I took some out of town clients here last week, and they thought I was playing a joke on them. They were like, "No, really. Take us to a good strip club." Sadly, I just don't think one exists in Austin because Palazio, Perfect Ten, etc. are no better. Some quick hits........ Dancers - friendly, but average to below in the looks department (especially in a city as full of hot chicks as Austin). Some of them might be superstars in places like OKC or Shreveport, but 3rd stringers, at best, in real live cities. Service - waitress was efficient and attentive, but she looked more appropriate for a Cracker Barrel than a strip club. Ambience - decor looks like it hasn't been updated in a decade or more. The "VIP" section was especially laughable. Clientele - Jack and Coke drinkers. Blue collar, service industry, college kids, etc. Added to the third rate vibe. Food - we didn't eat, but I really have no idea who would with so many good restaurants in Austin, especially in this neighborhood. Bottom line - it's not that YR is trashy or shady or anything like that. In fact, that would've been preferable, as sketchiness at least makes things interesting. It's just that it's VERY generic and boring and doesn't make up for it with hot enough dancers. And the thing is, Austin has TONS of hot women. If you have any game whatsoever, I suggest just going downtown and finding a chick to grind on you there. read more

hey, remember last night? me neither. yellow rose, i have visited you too many times, and each time has been an "experience," shall we say? a couple few weeks ago, a friend from california came to visit me, and we wanted to show him a good time. on the doorstep of the Yellow Rose, we paid a thirty dollar cover for the three of us, really? two guys in their forties, and me... we sat at a table near the stage. the guys look tough, tattooed head to toe. me? tattooed, bad attitude, and for this special night? oh shit, a push up bra. this is the kicker. always bring a lady to a place like this. you get more ladies. i got a table dance from what seemed like a nine foot amazonian woman, gorgeous, intimidating, and awkward, because i am five foot, on a good day. friendly ladies, great waitresses, but cover and drinks will be the death of you. this place is awesome, but its way too easy to walk out with a several hundred dollar tab. read more

So, I literally signed up for Yelp in order to make this review. There are beautiful girls at the Yellow Rose, nice wait staff and a killer men's room attendant. CAMILLE is her name, and she does not deserve your money. Beautiful no doubt, however, she sadly is one of the many dancers who will hustle you out of money. Only two dances I asked for, after paying the extra for the booth, because I was there with a bachelor party and wanted to save some money for the bachelor himself; however, after those two dances, she claimed I had actually received more than that. Knowing that I could not win this argument, I conceded to three dances and paid her the money. Then, Camille brought over a bouncer to try and get more money. CHRIS was the bouncer's name, and while he didn't try and strong arm me out of the club, he did threaten to kick me out and insisted that I pay Camille for the extra dance I didn't receive. After explaining that I didn't receive that dance and had already paid Camille for an extra dance; I explained I wouldn't be paying her any more money. His words were,"Well, why don't you pay her the extra 20 dollars, it's only 20 bucks?" I then let him know that initially I had tipped her on the two dances before conceding to three. He then said," Why don't you tip her on three?" At this point, I understood that he was in on the scam and that I would not only be ignored for the rest of the night, but also that I paid 60$ to the floor manager for the booth and 60$ to CAMILLE for something that completely ruined my night. Please, if you've read this review, don't go to the Yellow Rose, they won't treat you with respect, or at least stay away from CAMILLE, she'll hustle you. Sadly, never coming back again. read more

I went here on a special night where The Yellow Rose was throwing a party, so all the girls were dressed up extra nice. Well, they were dressed up to take it off, but you get my drift. I came here on the request of my friend who didn't want to go alone, but I digress. It had been a long minute since I had been back to the Rose. The new ownership and management def got this place into gear. I have been to some of the "better adult clubs" as proclaimed by so many. I don't know what makes a club "better" to other people, but this place had the most bada$$ dancers. I don't care for the pricey bottle service and the ultra plushy chairs--they are just added pluses. I go for the food and entertainment, and entertain was I. These girls were fit, I would call them more like very sexy topless gymnasts than "strippers". If the Rose was like this most nights, I would recommend this place over the other adult clubs. read more

one of my favorite spots in ATX. almost everytime im in austin i find myself here at least once (prob more). seems to me they have way hotter girls than ricks and palazio. food is really good, cocktails, and door staff have always been super nice. I expect the strippers to be nice but always goes a long way with me when the rest of the staff makes it a point to go above and beyond. Also like that they always seem to be doing that little extra to entice customers to come in, crawfish boil, damn good fajitas, game meat like deer, quail, etc... oh and if def used the free limo bus a few times. top notch. keep it up read more
